The best thing about this place is the people who work there. They are accommodating, kind, and funny. They prompt clients to be sure we have thought it all through and have what they will need. They are the reason to rent at their site and the reason we would recommend them. Their answering message gives their cells and home phone numbers so they are easy to contact. They know their stock well, so even though it may be early and they are not yet at the shop, they know if they have what you want for a truck/trailer. The shop is small and crowded but maybe there are not usually more than one customer at a time.

The folks who ran the place were very polite . BUT, they were unfamiliar with the computer system and nearly charged me twice and cost me about 2 hours of my work time finding the issue and doing it on paper, when it should have been a quick pick up since all was "prearranged" and paid the day before. John is a good man but it was a less than pleasant experience. He explained that u-haul updates and changes tech. platforms frequently. The dolly lost a fender driving down route 1 which was recovered and he explained a gentleman from u-haul was there a week before to "fix" the bolts holding the fender. i resolved the problem myself but he is now aware there is a problem and it is unsafe. I've used u-haul many times in many applications but this was a real bummer and i'm not sure how to handle it from here. Ross Lawrence

Make rentals cheaper. Don't use Ford vehicles that have horrible hauling capabilities as well as terrible gas mileage. Have each location fill up the vehicle before releasing it to a customer. Make sure each vehicle goes through rigorous maintenance procedures after long distance moves.

Our experience with u-haul was and is and absolute nightmare! We rented a 15 foot truck and auto transport. The truck blew a right front wheel bearing completely which in turn blew the right front tire. We were fully loaded with a 3300 lb. car in tow. it took an hour and a half for roadside asst. to answer the phone. They in turn gave the roadside tech. the wrong location where we broke down, never mind almost killing ourselves on a major highway. Luckly I had two hands on the steering wheel an was able to keep the truck and trailer straight and got to the breakdown lane in tact. A tech. finally got there after calling us directly to find out where we were located. He changed the tire and quickly found that the right front wheel bearing blew out and caused the tire to blow out and told us the truck could not be driven. So on the phone again to roadside asst. and i never got though, my wife got on our laptop (lucky to have a signal from a hotspot modem) and was able to reach online. All in all we were on the side on the highway for six hours when a tow truck the size of a rotator truck on ice road truckers shows up. U-haul gave them misinformation of the size truck we rented. So they had to leave and get a one ton small boom tow truck so they could tow us to our place approx another hour and a half. So after seven and a half hours we got our place with a disabled truck. Ever try unloading a truck with all your belongings in it but can't move it to where you need it. That beautiful ramp the truck has is no good to use because the truck isn't where you need it, never mind 100 degree heat in Florida. Well it took my wife and I all day to empty the truck because of this. Then the straw that broke the camels back happened. U-haul calls for a different tow company to tow the truck out of our property. They show up with another huge tow truck that is going to be really tough to maneuver on our property. I told him immediately to get a smaller tow truck and he explained there wasn't one and if i needed the truck out of my way he would tow it out. Oh yes he towed it out, took two hours and rutted my driveway many times back and forth approx 100 feet long a foot deep because his tow truck was to heavy for off pavement. It took me a day to fix it with a shovel and rake in 100 degree heat so that my wife and I could get out of our property to get necessities. I contacted u-haul of all this and was told a representative would be in contact with me. Well they did yesterday after a week and a half and instructed me that u-haul has absolutely no responsibility and would not be able to do anything for my wife and I, you know things happen, I should have done this and that, the tow company is at fault, u-haul has done nothing wrong (it's all everyone else's fault) Well, U-HAUL thank you for doing nothing. Yes breakdowns happen, but then it's what you do when things of this sort happen.I Do Not Think I Have Done Anything Wrong except to re
