1. For myself and my daughters roommate- they downgraded us 1 level each for our reservations 2. Did not walk with us to the truck, told us keys were under the seat 3. ABS and Traction Service lights were on- vehicle was not maintained 4. Was charged for a dolly I never had and 2 gallons of gas for a 3 mile drive. I had to contact U-Haul Customer Service to resolve this 5. The truck did hold everything and got the job done but this place Dreams needs some service trainingSTEPHEN S.

I was charged accessories that I did not order. They were also not in the truck anyway. Also the guys at counter told me it was 1,89 $ a mile but the website said $.99.Kevin M.

1. the dolly I reserved was not available. As a result I was unable to move one of the items on my list. Now I have to spend money getting it removed. 2. the truck had less than 1/8th tank of gas, so I first had to go get gas. 3. the gas gauge might not have been working, as I put in gas and the gauge still showed close to empty. 4. the brake release handle was broken. I had to enlist someone to get the brake released. That cost me time too. 5. the store added a pack of furniture pads I neither ordered, asked for, nor had loaded on the truck. I asked for a receipt and was told it would be emailed to me. When I called to discuss any of these matters with the store, I was told "we are just a furniture store. We just give out and take back keys." When I disputed that based on the fact that they made a change to my order, they hung up. So, after 45 minutes on hold with Uhaul (the first 25 was apparently a number only for new orders), the Customer service was very efficient and refunded the furniture pad charge and tax).Neil F.

The truck was very dirty when I received it. It still had old boxes in the truck. No-one from the store offered to clean it up or give me a clean truck.DISEL S.
I am being charged for two days when I only rented it for one day. I am also being charged for a dolly that I did not rent/use/or request. The gas tank was not full when I received the van so when I returned it, I filled up the gas to the lebel it was when I received it, however, I am still being charged for fuel. My overall experience renting a U-haul at Dream Furniture on 1918 N 5th St. Philadelphia, PA 19122 was not acceptable. When I got to the location, the van was not ready (gas tank was not full). This is my first time renting from U-haul and I was not explained any of the return procedures. I was just told to return the key in the drop-box without being told about the 20 $late return charge. Please help me sort this out. I had higher customer service expectations, especially for customers that are either new to the city or undergoing moving stress. You get told one price and get charged triple what you expect to pay. They charge you for equipment even though you never had it or requested it nor had it in the truck. They'll charge 20 $for an after hour drop off fee even though they don't tell you up front you'll owe this. They tell you to give a good review and they won't charge for mileage but that's another lie. Be prepared to pay up to 3x the amount of you think you're going to pay because this place is a complete scam.ADAM F.
While this location was great (despite U Haul's network being down) I was initially set to pick up at the 13th Street location. When I got there I found out that my pickup location had changed and I had not been notified. I then had to spend extra money on an Uber to get up this location. Totally unacceptable and am not sure if I will use U Haul again in the future.David J.

I was charged 100 $more than what is shown on the site. I have been trying to call customer service for a week about it. Uhaul has the worst customer service. Will definitely leave a bad review on both locations and never recommend to anyone.Soroush B.

They charged me over 200 $after cleaning fees for 4 HOURS of use. The photos I submitted showed a clean cabin. Still disputing with customer service but they charged me anywayHANNIBAL S.
Unprofessional, unfriendly employees. Gave me a truck with wrapping blankets that I did not ask for. And later I found out that they reported that I received a dolly as well. They charged me for the equipment without my knowledge. I explained to them that this bill is higher than I expected and when I asked for charge details the agent got upset of why I question his work, and he went on to say that the charge is exactly as it appears in the U Haul website. He did not mention anything about the equipment and the extra charge. I later found out about this when dropped dc the truck. Also I did not receive any receipts from them nor did I receive any sort of emails explaining the charge, or verifying the receipt of those equipment or even the truck for that matter. Poor management, I don't recommend them to anyone.TARIG E.

no one told me to check my mileage after and confirm it. I only drove 20 miles and got charged for 80. so disappointed in my first uhaul rental. will definitely never rent from them again.Goda N.
Honestly I'm giving them 2 stars because the van was clean and check in was quick. They didn't have blankets or any kind of dollies when I came to pick up my van (after I requested/ payed for them at reservation), and they were going to charge me 150 $if I couldn't find street parking for the thing at checkout. After check out I got my receipt and they tried to stiff me for a 50 $gas refil after I refilled the tank past what I had it at. Uhaul customer service was able to refund me because I had pics of the dash showing the b4 and after odometer with the fuel gauge. Use this place with absolute caution and document/take before and after photos of everything you possibly can if you do.Nina R.

They have very bad customer servise. When I walked in to the furniture store not really sure if I was in the correct place,they just ignored me and kept talking their foreign language. I am foreign myself and speak another language, but I always make sure to pay attention to anyone trying to get my attention. The place feels creepy. I felt uncomfortable in there and I'm a man. I can't imagine how a woman would feel in my situation. The staff needs to be trained. And they should have their counter a lot closer to the entrace. I was charged for fuel when I had returned it to the correct level. I did dispute it and got a refund for the fuel but not the 30 $fueling charge which I should get back also.. I emailed twice but they will not even respond. That is why I have an issue with this location.Allen F.
They charged me twice for dolly. Can you please check why it happened? They also told me that I can't leave keys at Dropbox because they would charge me extra for this. They demanded that I give them the keys in person. I also wasn't reimbursed for the truck I ordered before this one. There was a problem with the lock. But it happened on a different location. My place of pick location was switched day of move. And delayed from 8 to 11am. So yeah. It sucked. And I had requested moving blankets and got noneERIK T.
The guy i dealt with was very rude. I had an unbelievable experience with the worker and his manager. Luckily there was a uhaul rep there to help. They had no idea what they were doing. The uhaul scheduling office made a mistake but also these guys kick you out of their system after 30min of you not being there because they â€œlose money waiting for customerâ€. The manager was rude at first but once I was assertive back and explained that his employee was being a jerk about helping me, he was really nice and helpful. He called the employee to the front and tried to get him to apologize which he did not, the manager did for him. But I'm convinced if the U-Haul rep was not there it would've been a big ordeal. I ended up getting a bigger truck that i needed and they discounted me 32 $. However i would never go near these guys again. It's a gaudy furniture store, they have no business being invested with Uhaul.COLE N.

Online drop off process via U-Haul site. Never went inside the store. Easy to walk through the screens. Took about 5 minutes. Took photos of mileage, gas level, and truck and easily uploaded. Key drop off box. Large parking area as this location is part of of a small strip mall. Received receipt two days after drop off for correct amount.LOU S.

This person/company is 100 % crooked. DO NOT USE THEM! I showed up at the time of my appointment, he said it wouldn't be ready for 30min to an hour. He said they charged a 100 $fee plus 25 $for after hours PER HOUR! I returned the vehicle an hour early, after moving a few things. He charged for after hours return as well as a cleaning fee, doubling my bill! The other reviews are consistent with this, no matter what they will throw on extra fees and make you go through the process of calling U-Haul, waiting on hold, to *hopefully* refund! Additionally, when I tried to document the odometer and take photos since I had a hunch this may happen, the odometer reading read less than what was on the initial agreement. Meaning I couldn't return the vehicle through the app. When I went in early to try and talk to the person behind the desk he said, don't worry we have your credit card on file. I definitely would not recommend, I would encourage you to actively avoid. Going to center city is less of a hassle than this guy was. %100 crook, snaggging money. Note, I'm typically pretty chill, but I really dislike crooks.Zachary R.

The person at the front desk struggled to find my reservation, and gave confusing instruction leading to the dolly and blanket (that had been pre payed for and would have been use-full in the move) never materializing. When I picked up the truck the tank was almost empty. and the last minute in change in reservation to a larger truck came out of my pocket in gas mileage.RACHAEL E.

They over charged the guy who took my reservation was rude and they over charged my card i didn't use the gas that i signed for but being it was my first time renting my own truck o didnt know to take a picture i didnt use all thw miles i paid for yet i get hit with a extra 219 charge never using uhaul againJuana J.
I was running a little late and called to let the site know I would be ~15 minutes late. I was assured that there would be no issue. I dropped off the truck at 1:45 PM, but didn't receive a checked in receipt until 3 PM and was charged for the truck being late. Maybe I misunderstood my agreement, but with this extra fee and the others added on, the cost was basically double of what was anticipated.Dustin C.
Clearly the UHaul side of the business isn't a priority. Even though I'd checked in online, I had to go through the check-in process again. The dolly and furniture pads weren't in the van, so I was told to go check some of the other UHaul trucks to find them on my own. The other trucks were all unlocked. I guess I ended up with the 12 pads I paid for? They seemed to be used already and we're just in a pile. When I returned the truck, I had to wait quite a while inside after giving them the key while somebody ran out to check the van (the owner's kid?). I was then told that I could leave, with no confirmation of final cost. I'm waiting for my receipt email to see if they charged me based on my estimate instead of miles driven (we took far fewer trips than expected). If it's wrong, I guess I'll reach out about it!Eric K.

Upon arrival, the employee at the desk was not wearing a mask, was loudly talking on the phone through wireless head phones, and the music was blasting too loud to hear. Thought the whole interaction, he continued to pull down his mask to talk. The cab of the truck was dirty - there was trash and a sticky substance in the cup holders and a used surgical mask on the dash. It very obviously had not been cleaned out between customers. Upon return, we again had to ask him to put on a mask while other maskless employees walked around the store. He also scolded another employee in front of us when said employee did not know how to check the miles in the car.Caroline M.
