The Owner at the site was extremely helpful-and overcam the challenges that the reservation system caused. I reserved at a separate location and was confirmed there, but when I went to pick up was told it was in Dublin. I was charged upon return for gas and cleaning and will not pay as I returned it with the same amount of fuel I picked it up with and the truck and trailer was cleaned out upon return. It was a bad process that needs to be streamlined with too many hidden and unreasonable costsJames W.
The store clerk (I believe store owner?) was an unhappy, cranky, rude individual who seemed to be bothered to assist us, never called us the night prior to tell us he had our trailer (we ordered from and showed up at another site) like the contract states, and then was downright rude in dealing with our already paid for contract after the other store told us who had it. The other store said they were supposed to calm us the night prior. No call. So we wasted 30-40 minutes going to wrong location. He never apologized for no call when I mentioned. Told me he got no alert that he had my contract. He argued that we weren't paid for and we're not in his system. He asked if I wanted insurance and I informed him nicely that I pre-filled and laid for all of that and we should review the contract. He acted bothered to look it up. He was proven wrong on us not having a contract and didn't apologize. He Never gave us our pre-paid items but told us hasn't had a dolly on 6 Mos as if it was being done to him by UHaul rather than recognizing that we were now at a loss for our move that day - dolliless.. No sorry I don't have one... no recco to get one at destination, no help to call to arrange to get us one at destination, then he told us to remind him to give us the pads/drop cloths we paid for after we hook up and of course we forgot to remind him once we hooked up the trailer without any assistance or oversight. He argued that we didn't pay for a dolly, my son saw it on the screen and told him it's on the screen there and the clerk slowly turned with an intimidating scowl and stared for 3-5 seconds in silence at my son and then said â€¦â€do you want the refund or notâ€¦â€ stated until my son had to say yes then proceeded to provide the credit. I was lying he should have asked me. As an adult watching another adult act this way I was embarrassed for the clerk/owner's immaturity in dealing with friendly customers. Nasty person. As a marketer, he is damaging your brand and seems bothered by the service he offered us. I bit my tongue (hard) as I was with my son and took the high road knowing I'd write this review (and discuss the incident with my son in private) so please do your best for me and let him know how rude he was and help him get a dolly. He probably won't care. My son was angry after we left and I told him there is no sense giving a person like that any feedback - they don't care. He's a miserable person and we will meet them in life and we won't let them ruin our day. It was a disappointing start to a long move day.John R.

My only complaint, and this is the second time this has happened to me, is that although I deny the insurance when I book the reservation online, and I also decline when the person at the counter asks me, it is still added to my bill. I guess this is a Uhaul attempt at extra profits, since some people will not go through the grief of trying to get the charge refunded since the renting facility can't process the refund so you have to go through the Uhaul regional manager who never seems to be available. For this reason, if there were somewhere else I could rent trailers, I would.Vincent C.

I was very disappointed with the uhaul experience. I was supposed to pick up at a location just half mile from my house. That got changed. Had to drive several miles to get the truck at a new location. Got to new location and the truck was only a 17ft and not a 20ft as I rented. I was not able to fit all my items due to the length of what I was moving. Very poor overall experience.Mark H.

The door to the back the truck was frozen and took some time to free. Would have been nice to have this prepared in advance. There was confusion caused by 2 different locations seemingly competing for the business that resulted in 2 reservations. This system should work smoother. Overall though the value was good and the Dublin store met my needs.Thomas M.

I was hoping this survey would've included the process, not the location. The process was HORRIBLE. I used the online, paperless reservation to secure a pickup truck. When I arrived at the location, I then opened the app to submit the required materials i.e. license photo, selfie, etc. The first step was to take a "selfie." Fine, no problems. I hit enter and the photo was accepted. Then, I had to take a picture of my drivers license...but the app neverl allowed the camera feature to operatie for this step! I tried multiple times, uninstalled/installed the app, contacted customer service...nothing worked. I ultimately had to go into the store (which defeated the whole purpose of "paperless") and inconvenience the store clerk all because the app AND website was inoperable. I was very late to my destination. I will probably be using a different service for my future rental needs.Dan R.
I was charged $25 for cleaning. I made sure that the truck was cleaned when I returned it. I was also charged for a gas filled. I made sure to fill the tank before returning. Highly disappointed for the extra charges!! In the past I never had a problem.Ryan D.

The office person (older man) was very miserable. The location you wouldn't have even known it was a uhaul without the one uhaul truck being there. I don't like the fact that I couldn't just drop the uhaul truck to the closes one that we have and had to drive it all the way back to the location. More money out of my darn pocket for putting so many miles to take it from that location and back to that location. I wouldn't recommend this place to people who live near me too far out the way.Steve M.

Reminder about the "Trailer Tow" option on the vehicle dashboard. I was familiar, but a new driver of Box Vans might not be. Important in wet weather, which I was driving in.don S.

This experience was overall terrible. We did not order originally from the Dublin location but UHaul moved our order. Frustrating but understandable. I called the location at 8:30am the day of to confirm. The owner refused to confirm my order because he was â€œon the check in screenâ€ and when I asked again he yelled and said â€œI'm not even open yet, call back in a half hourâ€ and hung up on me. Once we picked the truck up, we were told it needed to be returned at 3:00. I ordered the truck originally to be picked up at 8:30am and to have it for 12 hrs. When I called the store and asked they said â€œit's not our fault. UHaul trying to be nice squeezed you in ahead of another rental.â€ And basically told me to return the vehicle as soon as we could and hung up again. They gave no instructions on the return. We were charged for the moving pads which we were told we would not be if we didn't use them. Overall, this was the most rude and frustrating experience I've ever had with any type of rental service. Avoid going to this location at ALL cost!Stephanie S.

This location will try to scam you for money and then ignore any attempts at communication. I have given more than ample time for a reply before making this rating. I had ended up filling the tank ABOVE what was necessary (required filling to halfway, I accidentally filled to the 3/4 mark) and was charged because they claimed that the tank was under. Then I was charged a "cleaning fee" for returning a spotless vehicle. Nothing was left in any part of the truck, nor was there a spec of dirt from shoes in the back. Absolutely ridiculous. Will never be using this location again and will be warning anyone I know that is considering this location. Such a shame as my family and I have had good experiences with different UHaul locations in the past.rebecca D.

I chNged my pick up location bc Wtown did not have everything I needed. I booed thru your 1800 number and specifically confirmed with them that Dublin had all 4 items I requested. Bad service on UHAUL bc there were 2 items missing. The poor guy in Dublin says he's been asking for blankets for months. District manager you aren't doing your job. I will never rent from this location again!!! Ever!! The manager/owner of the location is rude at best. He repeatedly told the customers to make sure the trucks were clean before returning them. I took the truck to the car wash to spray the bed out and make sure it was clean. The man then proceeded to charge me $25 for cleaning because in his opinion the plastic floor mat had dirt from my shoes on it. Funny thing is that I wore the same shoes in my car and didn't have any dirt or mud tracked in it. I believe it was a scam to charge more so he'd make more than the 15 % he complained about!!!!!!!!!!! Terrible location!Troy M.

Comment in the 24/7 process is not totally clear. If the steps are sent in an email along with reservation confirmation, one can go prepared. It took at least 45 minutes before I was able to drive off the lot.Murali V.
