It had been a long time since I rented a uhaul but Dana was very professional and exceptionally nice to work with! She explained everything in great detail and even went out of her way to assist my husband to our vehicle due to his disability. I can't say enough nice words about her! We had to change our reservation time but she was neither annoyed nor aggravated! I definitely would encourage people to use their business if you're needing a UHaul! Make sure your associates are able to preform correct billing procedures on the computers. My wife and I were paying with cash and were told we needed to put a a card on file and pay a $100 “deposit,” fee. I gave her the card information and she charged the entire amount, (just under 1K,) to the card. Not to mention the deposit fee she claimed we needed the card for didn’t even apply when paying the full amount. So she charged our card for nothing.... because we had the full cash amount. We use USAA and are nowhere near a location to deposit our cash. It put us way out of our way and I am very unhappy with this mistake.

I changed my reservation from a large truck to a smaller truck. It told me it was updated. The update was not sent to the location so I got charged for a large truck when I didn’t need it. I used a prepaid payroll card to pay instead of my bank card so it took a xtra 100 dollars off for deposit. I should have been aware of this before hand. We couldn’t credit the money back and do it again, she said it take 5 to 7 days to go back on the card. Then I ended up being charged for a utility dolly I didn’t need.

We have been using UHaul trucks all summer to move my mother-in-law. One week due to availability we had to use a Budget Truck. The difference was amazing. Our Budget experience was terrible. UHaul has been excellent in Rolla. Had some problems with pickup locations in Louisville, KY., but Duncan Moving and Storage in Rolla was always great to work with!

The lady who helped us was very nice and gave me all the information I needed. The only problem we had was that she didn’t ask us to go over the condition of the truck before we left and apparently there was a smudge on the side that was noticed by the lady at the return end. We didn’t have to pay for it but it was a little stressful for a bit.

I was told I could drop it off at any location. No one mentioned I would be charged extra for not doing so. The tow dolly ratchets were rusted. I spent an hour or so in the freezing cold trying to undo the ratchet that was in the open position. It was difficult determine where to return the truck at night. At the office in rolla, I mentioned a location that the neighborhood dealer didnt see on the map. And when I was in Lawrence, after undoing the ratchet on the car. I did not want to put the car back on the dolly and decided to return it in Lawrence rather than Kansas City. We spent an hour driving to 3-5 different location before finding a proper return location.
