Clean up the communications. I called, got names, was assured of notices and promises....none of it materialized. Thankfully, I was able to document my contact train and breakdowns. A better local communication notification method than sticky notes should be developed and implemented

Every time we had to start the engine, it would not start, we had to jump it EVERY time and it was not even cold enough outside to warrant a block heater plug-in, which the uhaul did NOT have. If you're going to have a uhaul in alaska, there needs to be better maintenance on winterizing the trucks so we don't get stranded and have a bad day.
Jewel JonesThe location was closed when I booked the reservation. I selected an after hours self pick up. I think Uhaul, not the location should have informed me that a pick up was not available at this location. Instead I went to the location at midnight in the snow and spent 20 minutes trying to get the app to work. Complete waste of time!! Also the app is unresponsive trying to print a receipt. Disappointed, hire a better IT department.

Bailey VitelloThis is my families second rental from this facility since January. Great service. Only issue I had was my reservation had 3 dozen blankets for 5$ and I was charged 30$ Even though I showed him exactly where it showed 3 dozen for 5$ online in my reservation. However, the equipment was ready prior to arrival, check out was easy. They also took care of us when my son got COVID and we had to quarantine 2 days after we got the truck. We were not able to enter Canada to head to Texas and we would have had to pay for 10 extra days of rental on the truck and auto transport. The manager got me extended for no cost due to the circumstances. We truly appreciate it.

Thomas IngramThere was no ice scraper inside the vehicle. When renting in Alaska in February, this is a must. The inside of the windows were covered in windshield cleaner residue. When the defroster was turned on, the windows immediately fogged up. The UHaul app is HORRIBLE! It took me over 30 minutes to pick up the vehicle. When I went to turn it in, the app would never progress past the first picture. It also asked me for pictures that should have been requested before I was standing out in the cold during a snowstorm. Try taking pictures of your drivers license and passport while standing in a snowstorm.
David HarrisThis location has a bad habit of telling people they are not part of uhaul when they obviously they are, they just don't want to clean the returns or want to leave early. And are so very rude, the employees are known to use opiods and illegal narcotics, that is why the keys were locked in the van upon return because of the guy that came out of nowhere outside and went into the dark shop without turning on any lights and didn't care one bit about the returning van.

Lowell LoweryWhile the inside of the box was relatively clean and floors of the cabin were washed, the outside had frozen dirt on top and on the sides of the vehicle. Dashboard was dusty and cupholders had drums in them. I've cleaned it myself and it wasn't a big deal but little details like that matter a lot when you are about to embark on a 6 day ride across North America.

Alan ClippertonTruck was filthy and clearly not swept. Trash behind the driver seat and in the cargo area (old cardboard, towels). Truck had less than 1/8th of a tank of gas, which isn't awful but certainly less then ideal. I was told that if I return it with any greater than 1/8th of a tank I would be reimbursed the cost of fuel. I later found out this was not accurate and really frustrating
Daniel WilsonThere was a hook up they should have been installed that allowed the trailer to stop in case it became disengaged. We were informed by the drop off location in Moscow because he was surprised it was missing.
GARY TOTHThis dealer was closest to the hotel because we had to walk. The pick up was scheduled, however upon arrival, no one was there to complete the rental. We went to another location only to be told that this dealer was closed for lunch between 12-1, and that we would need to go back to get the truck. I signed off on the contract, got in the truck and the truck had no gas in it. I called to let them know to mark it as empty and I had to take it to the gas station as soon as possible. The process was a bit messy, but worked out for what we needed it for.

MARK HODGEProvide more accurate vehicle availability information online, and also between rental sites. The online system said no pickup trucks available this week. On multiple successive days, the Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK store told me there should be a vehicle available "tomorrow." But when I came back, they didn't have one. They would not allow me to reserve the expected available vehicle on the previous day. I finally was able to rent a vehicle at the Second St., Fairbanks, AK location, when the Airport Way store thought to check availability at other stores. The Second St. store had available vehicles on the previous days, but I was not aware of them. Those vehicles were not rented on those days, because customers were not directed to them (either online or by other local stores). Uhaul probably can do better than that. Merci.

janet claytonFor a long distance haul, the truck was in poor condition,no cruise,no power for hills much less for the mountains. Not a full bench seat made for uncomfortable ride for the middle person. Windshield wiper blades were worn out and torn. Manuel windows and door locks. No running boards made it hard to get in and out of. Very hard and miserable 3000 mile move with this truck. The only good thing was the tires were in good shape.

Alexis GaleyThey rented us a 26 foot uhaul with a bald tire, moving from Alaska to Ohio. My husband pointed out the bald tire to the man at the garage and he said, oh it will be fine, people drive out of here with tires like that all the time; its not that bald. The tire blew in the middle of nowhere in Canada and my husband waited a total of 6 hours for someone to come change it out because that was the closest place to where we were. When we got settled in our new house and contacted Uhaul about this problem, we were told we would be receiving a full refund. However, after Uhaul had contacted him, the gentleman at Eagle Garage completely denied that he had done that, saying he would never send anyone out with a tire like that. What a liar. So, based on this liar's story, we did not receive a full refund. We received a small amount, but not what we were told. We were incredibly disappointed with them and their lack of integrity. Uhaul really should be doing a better job screening who they have carrying their business's name.

Nicholas AmesMake sure the equipment is in good working condition including the LIGHTS! These people have no business running a Uhaul dealership. They are a taxi company and need to stick with being a taxi company. Had to take my jacked up equipment to the dealership on airport road in Fairbanks and trade it out for some that actually could make the trip to Alabama.
