When I arrived there was another customer parked out front to pick up a uhaul they had reserved at ten am as well. We waited until ten thirty until we were able to get into the building. The guy at the desk said he was in the back resetting the router because they were having internet problems. He didn't apologize or call the people with reservations. The building was just locked and all the lights were off. I wanted to upgrade to a larger truck and he allowed me to and asked if I wanted the appliance dolly still. I said yes. He had me sign the paperwork but did not update it for the vehicle I upgraded to so there was no way for me to tell what the mileage was on the vehicle I was using. He also did not give me instructions on return process or where to locate the dolly I reserved. Just handed me the key. At drop off they were closed so I wasn't able to request my refund of the dolly in person.

I can't think of a thing, to improve the service. they were so great at the way they do business here in Eagle River AK.the U-Haul truck was clean and it ran really great. i will come back here any time i need a moving truck, or a large pull trailer to hall fire wood. If early morning pickup should park truck inside if possible for inspection before leaving. Had a hard time getting back door open to inspect inside

The overall experience was adequate but the truck had a piece of a receipt stuck in the fold of the driver's seat and another piece of paper on the floor by the pedals (obviously not cleaned). In addition, the truck windshield was covered in snow and ice upon arrival, it seems like the truck should be in a drivable state upon pick up.

Yet another flawless rental. I did see an earlier poster complaining that the place wasn't open at the time of his/her specified rental... The hours of operation at each selected location is visible on screen when making the rental online. lol

Pretty tough to hook up the 6x12 trailer yourself without a jack to raise it up. Didn't help that everything was frozen. Would be nice if they volunteered to help you from the start instead of having to go back in and ask. Otherwise everything was fine.

I originally set up to pick my rental truck up at this location, when I arrived at my pick up time, there were no employees to be found and the office was shut down. This was well before this location should have been closed. After being on hold for 25 minutes with your main costumer service number I was then instructed to drive another 25 minutes farther away from my destination. The people I had lined out to help me move we're waiting around for an hour and a half while I sorted out this mess. No compensation was offered for this huge inconvenience. I understand that mistakes happen, but I feel that I should have been compensated for the lack of communication and time wasted.

The back was not clean. The ignition didn't work right. The location charged me for fuel even though the gauge showed full (I have pictures). It's a rotten vendor.

Issue was that I was contacted by some caller about turning in my u-haul rental days after I turned it in. I turned in the keys in the return box, was witnessed by a male employee at the station. I haven't been told that the vehicle is secure (which I know it is), but a company that calls me about such matters (as if my fault) should show courtesy and let me know all is good. That's good business.

Ensure the employee is available at the scheduled meet time. Employee showed up 45 minutes late after making repeated phone calls to business. Vehicle has food strewn on the seats and sticky spill on the floor.

I did the mobile pick up and return, which is very convenient, and I didn't have to go inside or talk to anyone. But it takes a while. And just when you think you're done, it takes another 3-4 minutes for activation. Still, it was easy and convenient. Return took almost as long, but at least there wasn't the 3-4 minute wait for activation. ?? Be prepared to take lots of pictures, of yourself, your ID, the truck, the odometer and fuel gauge, etc, :)

The truck was dirty when I picked it up. I had to mop the inside of the box before I would put my belongings in this truck. The interior of the cab was also dirty, not cluttered with trash but dusty and dirty. I had also requested blankets to use for my move but they didn't have the number I requested (36) and the ones they had were also dusty and dirty, the gentleman pulled them from the body shop, they weren't bagged and had car dust and dirty all over them. I went to another store to get blankets to use for the move. I don't think I'll use this store again for my moving or truck needs.

Even though the sales person swept the snow off there was ice that I had to clean off and thaw out the straps so I could load my car. it took a whole two hours extra to do what I needed to do.

Either move the studded tires to the front or put all 4 on. Couldn't use the uhaul in the snow. I could not control it at all and didnt get any moving done.

The internet reservation did not work, neither did the app. The app wouldn't even let us create an account after we downloaded it. The local store was easy to work with but corporate U-haul has some serious issues to work out if they want to keep business.

The young men that service the customers are slow and have Zero skills for this type of work. The computer system is very slow and not user friendly. Its the only U-Haul in Eagle River and we are stuck with this poor service. I'll drive to Anchorage in the future.

I showed up and nobody was there for 45 minutes, I called and I could hear the phone ringing and no one picked up, I ended up having to order an Uber XL. I called the 800 number to get a refund and the dumb broad on the phone said to get my refund from the people inside, how am I supposed to do that if no one is at the location??!! Will not be coming back

Two employees came outside before I even got out of my vehicle and assisted in backing and stowing the trailer. A hiccup with check-in process because it showed it had not been returned a week after we dropped it off and I received a call, but they fixed it immediately once contacted.

Broken windshield, seat belt light and ding always on. warning about low tire. Told to just disregard. They haven't had time ti fix. Gas was at less than 3/4 tank. Brought to renters attention. Returned with same. Was charged for fill up. An additional $40.00 for 9 gallons. Was charged for extra day. Returned a day early. was told OK to do even though the location was closed. All windows were very dirty. Had to wash inside and out before getting on highway. And was charged for insurance which I had denied since my own insurance already covers a rental.

I called a week in advance to make the reservation and also spoke to a Uhaul employee the day of pick up. 2 Uhaul employees/representatives told me $89 TOTAL for a two day rental. Customer service was good, however, nobody told me about the “$16 coverage fee” only spoke of a total rental fee of $89. Both employees had a few opportunities each when I asked “$89 for two days, right?” yet nobody had the decency to tell me about additional fees AFTER the total. I feel I got nickel and dimed because I received an email AFTER everything is done and returned. If someone would've told me, on the phone and/or in person, “total, plus insurance for a flat tire, etc. for 2 days” I'd be ok with it and understand. Insurance in a rental company is business as usual; as should letting customers know of any fees. Aside from hidden fees, the rental was in a convenient location, convenient weekend hours, and properly maintained equipment.

They wouldn't take cash and told me they needed a credit card due to high theft rate. They said it would just be a hold on the card until I returned the truck. When I returned the truck they still wouldn't take my cash and the charges stayed on the card. I was not happy!

The local Uhaul wasn't aware of which trucks were ineligible for 24 hour rental. As a result, we were given a 7AM reservation for a 15' truck that couldn't be checked out before opening hours (10AM). We got to the lot and realized we didn't have a lockbox code. We couldn't log in to our online account (spoke to the 1-800 number and they said there were many reports of that same problem that day). The telephone representative then explained we would have to go back at 10. Though we were given the $50 reservation guarantee, this entire ordeal completely affected our move that day.

Website wasnt the easiest, kept wanting me to pick up hundreds of miles away a d return to my local shop. Ditched the on line approach and picked up the phone, local move of a couple of hours, checking out and back in was easy, shop was well stocked with u haul inventory. Recommend this place, staff was friendly too.
