I had a very positive experience with the associate by the name of Mike. I was on a schedule and was short on time. I didn't have the right ball hitch and would have to purchase one as the rentals were out. Mike stepped up and made it work. Good Man. Great customer service. The location was fine but it was a last-minute location switch by UHaul that meant our vehicle was out of the city we work in. It took a lot of extra kilometres and juggling of personal vehicles to make this happen. It essentially jumped our costs by hundreds of dollars (on the rental, staffing and personal mileage reimbursement).Erik T.

I rented a car hauler flat bed trailer. The technician was friendly and showed me the unit and how to safely transport my car to a location 200 miles away. I found the rental price to be reasonable and will use them again sometime.neil B.
The local staff were very good, and pick-up went very smoothly. The only bad comment would be that the windows, mirrors and windshield were very dirty. Fortunately we had our own cleaning supplies. Without cleaning these surfaces, visibility would have been compromised to the extent of being unsafe.Rick S.

The outlet had lots of inventory but felt the truck was a little dirty (dusty) inside. We were moving home staging furniture and had to protect with blankets. Otherwise very happy with the whole rental process.Doug R.

When I reserved the unit, I expected to pick it up at my preferred location where the website said it was available. When I was going to pick it up, I was told to go to a second location farther away because my location didn't have a unit. At the second location I learned that a unit was not available there either. The second location then sent me to this third location that finally had a unit for me. This consumed over two hours of my time and extra fuel consumption because these locations were not close together. I found this ordeal to be completely unsatisfactory and would have a hard time recommending your service. You could improve your service by being honest about your inventory. If it's not available at a location, don't say that it is.GERALD W.

You need more staff to man the tills. You need to have booked equipment ready at the customers scheduled booked time. We had to come back two hours later to pick our dolly. The check in process was a very long 25 minute wait.Naheed J.

First off, they gave us a pass code for the truck which was incorrect. After dealing with someone on the chat she gave the correct code. Then as we were looking for truck damage we noticed the tire was competely flat. Thankfully someone at the shop showed up and was able to help but it put us behind an hour.Jorden R.

The truck had barely over 1/4 tank of fuel when it was picked up, why should I have to start out with a task with a vehicle that likely doesn't have enough fuel. In town move or long distance I'd expect better service. The contract showed 3/8 of a tank so I returned to the representative to have it corrected then the next day they attempted to charge my 50 $+ For fuelling and service fees. So I got to call in to have it corrected, talk about shady dealings. Clean up your service and muddy trucks. Less then impressed with this experience. And I have pictures from pick up and drop off, I'd suggest others do the sameChristopher S.

Young fellow was not a very good customer service agent , like he did not want to be at work the 24 th of August . Did not know I needed 2 phone numbers to rent from U-Haul until 3/4 the way through transaction . Did not get a walk about explaining any damage that was previously done to rental , did not get any information on previous damage to rental , had to wd40 door rollers , door did not open easy . Inside of rental was very dirty , lots of fake flower petals , sand , cardboard and dirt . Learnt a very valuable lesson for next time , agent and myself will take a few minutes and go over entire unit before leaving rental yard , otherwise another rental company will meet my purposes .Neil N.

Upgrade your return website. We returned the truck after hours. There were 2 of us trying to do the return electronically. When I couldn't do it my partner tried with her I phone. It would take about 4 - 5 tries to get your system to recognize the location of your dealer. Once we finally would get in to the program it would not upload the pictures of the truck or the dash. It would then kick us out and we would have to start again. We did that for about 45 to 50 minutes. It was then close to 1am so we had, had enough and went home. The program is not user friendly and needs some upgrades. The gps system needs better recognition and the photo uploading needs work as well. Even the worker there said that these problems happen regularly but doesn't know why. Maybe your "it" people can. Thanks Dave Patrick llDAVE P.

Only one person working when I came to return truck on Saturday morning at 8:30. 5 or 6 people lined up. I had to go because had internet hookup at 9:00 am. Also charged 11,50 $ for fuel in which I did put fuel to level when I picked up. I had to phone back and talk to manage and I was reimbursed.Todd S.

The location as at the Airdrie car wash. That location has always been a little run down. The main office area where you sign in to get the truck is in desperate need of a face lift, and has been for a long time. Other than that the service was good, the truck was clean, no problems.Lorne S.

Terrible customer service. Took two hours (11:00-1:00AM) to get a truck with the 24/7 service. First location didn't put out the key for the truck, second location took super long to get set up with because customer service via phone and live chat was so bad. It was a very long night :(Gavin R.

This location has two different places for pick up, trucks are at one location and trailers are at a different location a block away. When you go to the location listed on your confirmation (85 East Lake Cres) stand in line only to be told this is not where you pick up trailers. This was a waste of time having to stand in line at two different locations. The clerk at the first place was very nice and apologetic while the clerk at the second location needs to stop swearing while serving customers (the swearing was directed at the computer and other staff). The gentleman who help hook up the trailer was very helpful.Boyd W.

Every time I book a U-Haul trailer, there is ALWAYS some sort of screw-up. For example, this time I booked a trailer online, did the quick check-in process then paid for the trailer on U-Haul's web site - or thought I had. When I picked up the trailer, I was told I hadn't paid the rental fee. Yes, I had - online. The agent then told me that U-Haul doesn't do online payments - even though I had entered my credit card info to pay for my trailer rental. So don't be surprised if you think you are paying for your rental through U-Haul's web site only to be asked for payment again when picking up your equipment. I wonder how long U-Haul would last if actually had any serious competition?John G.
Truck was filthy when I got it yet I got charged the 25 dollar cleaning fee when it wasn't my mess, also I paid the 150 deposit from my bank account and my refund would only go on the card on file not the cars I used which is bullshit because that card on file was cancelled now I'm out the refund, this is very unacceptable and a waste of my time and money and is a scam on your partWilliam B.

Have the truck and trailer checked and ready to go the evening before. I lost an hour because the trailer lights were not working. Have the requested number of furniture pads on hand--please don't tell me at the time of pickup you don't have all the pads on hand. Pickup was painful, but at least the return was a breeze.Thomas J.

We booked online. Went to confirm a week before if we needed to change locations. Confirmed three days before and they still couldn't say they would have the unit for us which is frustrating when you are planning a move and no one can confirm anything until three days beforeJason S.
Well where do I begin let's just say it was the first of the month on the weekend Sunday 32Â° outside and my dad waited 20 minutes line about the door one girl at the desk to do check out then that took 45 minutes then on top of that I ordered my U-Haul reservation over a month before because I know in the summertime you guys are very busy I ordered two dollies for my moving that was not ready the girl had to run around looking for dollies so check out at the desk after the 20 minutes after the long line up out the door was 45 minutes and the girl was all by herself I don't know how she did it or how she managed don't know if she got through her day but this girl probably deserves maybe a gift card or something for that day because if this was my employer and it was the beginning of the month I would've called somebody and I would've looked at my schedule the day before and realized it was the first of the month and not have come in or request someone come in to help me this girl deserves some thing if she got through her day with no other issues but let's just say took a long time my order wasn't ready and I was very disappointed after she found two dollies for me that I booked over a month prior we go move from the first house to the second house and it's the second house that I needed the dollies for both of the dollies one was old one was new the old one did not work the new one worked I'm very disappointed I've used this location for five times now over the last two years between two different families I've never had issues like this ever!!Fouad F.
There was one employee working at the East Lake Airdrie location. I waited over an hour just to get the truck, there were 3 people in front of me and every single person had issues. The woman working was completely disorganized and overwhelmed. There were issues with people understanding how lines worked, there was issues with payments, simple math, where dollies were located, reservations. It was an overall disaster and a complete shit show. Never ever will we be renting ANYTHING from uhaul again. Absolute disaster, so disappointed.Travis O.
