Hello, My name is kirandeep kaur Randhawa .we family of 3 members planned to move from BC TO ON . I reserved a 15" rental truck unit and tow equipment a month before my move with U-Haul reservation #22916914 . We went to pick up the trailer at the location 11190 Bonson road Pitt Meadows, BC V3Y2G1 around 4 pm. Unfortunately we found that the side view mirrors and hazardous flashing lights and indicators were damaged ( Images attached below) . We were shocked and surprised with the condition of the truck as the dealership guy was unaware about the unit he has in his yard !!! This seems to me a case of negligence and irresponsibility .Please note that at that point we were all packed up with our stuff to load including cooking and on road trip plans and supposed to leave the next morning. It brought a lot of stress as the whole thing went messed up! , as there were no other 15 " available at that point. After hours of calling to different customer services, they offered us a 10" truck from a different location at 22587 Dewdney Trunk Road,Maple Ridge ,BC V2X3K1 Reservation #13563329. and we picked The vehicle towequipment Reservation #13563985 at 11190 Bonson road Pitt Meadows, BC V3Y2G1 same day. because there were only 2 seats in 10".we had to book Same day flights cost $ 978 cad ( attached lynx airlines airlines tickets ). additionally we have to leave some stuff behind in order to manage with 10". This unimaginable situation caused lots of stress in our household and put an addition into the existing moving stress emotionally and financially, as my husband was supposed to be back to work in the coming week, so we had to go with the available alternative options.While I flew from British Columbia to Ontario with my child , my husband was on the way. i contactacted customer services using chat services requesting some discount in the form of compensation and I was assured that at the drop of a location I can explain the situation , and I could get some refund or discount in the form of compensation. but yesterday we dropped the truck and tow equipment safely at the location 144 Charles W, Kitchner , ON N2G1H7. I came to know that they are unable to assist at their end and I have to contact customer services by myself. I understand that things could go wrong at any point in life sometimes, but in this situation it clearly seems like a case of negligence, i believe there is a visual inspection before a unit is received from a customer and departed to new customer for insurance liabilities, it suppose to be repaired before it is available for next customers. With this small negligence I ended up paying more. and plus this whole situation creates very unpleasant moving experiences for us. I Request U-HAUL to provide me genuine compensation or refund for services received and already paid out please. As we all ses U-haul as a big moving company with great services all over North America, I would also like to request to look into this matter so that no other families with children have to face this ever . Very quick and easy pick-up process. Would suggest some signage to direct persons who come to the site on how to find the U-Haul representative. Even a contact number to phone when you arrive. Great experience and went very smooth on pickup and drop-off.Lorne M.

Have more trailers available. I was relocated 20 min from my original location because the trailer they reserved for me needed maintenance and i lost one hour to get a new one in a different locationTed Moroni F.

Gentleman who runs this location was absolute top notch. Came out to help us outside of business hours as this was not our original pick up location and needed the trailer early. Truly grateful as we were on tight schedule. Would recommend this location to anyone in the Fraser valley area who wants reliable and efficient service.Brandon S.

I got the uhual truck at a quarter of a tank and returned it at a quarter of a tank, and when I got the statement the next day, I was charged an extra $35,18 for gas, when i called they made me call three different locations to see why I was charged the extra and I still don't have an anser.Nemo Z.

Proprietor indicated he would not be available during the posted hours. It was difficult to find an office or anybody to help when picking up the truck and returning it. Closing off the contract proved to be an incredible challenge for U-Haul. It took from rental date of December 22nd to January 8th and numerous emails to have my contract properly closed.Eric N.

The pick up location was absolutely fantastic however the rental process itself had a problem. The first and second agents I spoke to told me that I could pick up the trailer at Elmers and return to one of the locations in Mission British Columbia. When I received my reservation it said to return to the same place I rented it from. I had to call back twice to reach somebody who could talk to me about it and they informed me that the two prior agents were incorrect and the unit could only be returned to where I picked it up from. That person offered me a trailer less than half the size of the one I needed. In the end I was happy with everything except the mixup on drop off location. To return this trailer back to where I picked it up from was a two hour investment on top of my long day. I don't know why this trailer is so hard to findâ€¦ The original people I spoke with could only find two in the lower mainland! That being said your return process was fantastic I really easy to follow!joergen W.

The U-haul district manager despite me attempting to warn them that I was not going to make my pickup ended up driving in at considerable distance because of U-haul not being able to provide the truck I was guaranteed. The district manager called me and was very accommodating to be able to allow me to collect the trailer the following day and was extremely helpful getting me hooked up and on my way. The district manager was awesome. The experience overall with collecting trucks and trailers from all over the Fraser Valley, horrifying!Dean D.

The receiving location was very friendly over the phone and for drop off. I had to chat with the regional manager to explain the entire situation. My trailer was to be dropped off at a different location than the truck, yet I still needed the truck to drop off the trailer and all of this was being totaled in the distance. The regional person did add extra miles to my allowance and were more accommodating than Alberta. 0,5/10 for the overall trip, but the BC regional helped make it less of a disaster. There was no uhaul key drop box. So after looking around for ages we contacted someone by phone & they told us to slide the key underneath the door. I have no idea how we were supposed to intuitively figure that out.. I think a Dropbox is needed in the future!Fergus H.
Uhaul Signage for one thing. Building signage wash for marijuana. Building was not great. Not an inviting location. It would intimidate most people I would think. Not sure what Uhauls standards are for a franchise. Uhaul might need to do an internal review on some of the places that represent the Uhaul brand. Had to go through a cage to a dog groomer to get the agent to come outside. As for the agent, he was great. Easy to talk to, very helpful.Richard R.

Trailer lights did not work. Attendant could not get them working. Should make sure these trailers are in operating condition before they are rented. Of the three trailers rented from Uhaul one had a flat during our trip and the lights did not work on this one.Robin H.

When I arrived to pick up the U-Haul truck I had to do a self pick up . My location was not recognized by U-Haul on my phone called the mobility help line and the agen. I spoke with sounded annoyed and didn't sound like he wanted to help me , Finally the dealer owner came out to assist. When I told the agent I did not need his help he sounded like he didn't care. My overall experience with the self check in was horrible and I would definitely not recommend it especially when you have agents that are to help you there and sound like they don't want too. Over all experience with the mobility help was terrible .Vance L.
I after hours drop off box, left keys behind a gate and not sure if they got picked up or not. Location was very confusing with nothing but one small cardboard sign with some u haul specials. Nothing otherwise noting this was a drop off site. Elmer's storage isn't listed anywhere, only Elmer's weedery and the phone message box was full so to inform anyone about where I left the keys is impossibleSlawomir K.
Worst screw up rental ever, 5 changes in locations, I will tell any body my experience renting not much help from vendors as they were in the dark as well as my self, they felt they helped by giving me a $79 discount, wow, next time I will check out my options, as I always used U-Haul in the past. I don't know about the next customer but I do not like the fact that it was a different person that was there when I brought the truck back and did not want to check it in for me. I was not comfortable leaving the vehicle without checking it back in so I chose to do the online check in, which was a waste of my time when there was a person there that could have done it for me.Kenneth B.

My experience wirh UHaul has been excellent. I have rented twice in 6 months, and found easy booking, payment and pick up, and all franchises have been very helpful and courtious, including this locarion. 10/10!!ernie K.
