They called to change my pickup location, and then when I arrived, there was no one there to help me. I hunted someone down in the sales office who told me they would be back in a few minutes. When they did drive back to the lot, I had to fill out all of the same things that I filled out on-line. I did it on-line so I could save time and not have to spend a lot of time picking it up. This attempt was not successful.

When I first went to pick up the rental, the door was locked. After a few minutes, a guy showed up & said come on in, I'll be right back. The smell in the "office" was HORRIBLE!!! I mean crap your pants & spray bleach horrible!!!I waited outside for 15 - 20 minutes before anyone came back to assist me in picking up my rental that I had filled out all the paper work on line to "save time". Once the guy was "ready for me" he asked me all the questions I had filled out on line. He printed up my contract, handed it to me with out my license. I didn't realize my license was not in with the paperwork. Went out to the vehicle no walk around was done, just a verification of the gas level. By the time I got back to my place, I received a call from the guy stating that I left my license.I explained that my friend would pick it for me, seeing that she had just left to run a few errands. He said he would be back in about an hour as he was leaving for lunch. Meanwhile I had noticed how there was animal fur all over the passenger seat, there was a scratch on the passenger door frame, & the bed wasn't even swept out. Needless to say, it wasn't very clean for a BRAND NEW truck with under 2000 miles on it. When my friend went up to get my license 2 hours later, that person was not there, the door was locked & she had to take more time to go find somebody else to see if there was anyway to get into the office to get my license. The one thing that was nice was when I realized that I would need the vehicle for an additional day, I called & was told no problem, keep it as long as you need, we will redo the contract when you return. I only needed the vehicle for another day. I went to return it the next day, which was a Sunday. Now, it had slipped my mind that this particular office was closed on Sunday's, but they did have a "Drop box".... next problem.... All gates into the parking lot were closed & locked up tight"!!!.I called the 800 Uhaul # & spoke with a rep there who was very pleasant & helpful!! He transferred me to the local manager(?) who was also very pleasant & nice to work with. As I walked around the lot unsuccessfully looking for an open gate to be able to drop the vehicle off at, While still on the phone with the rep, it was then decided that I would take the vehicle to another location that was open, They would accept/hold the keys & vehicle and the other location would then pick it up the following morning. I have not heard from anyone else since I left the uhaul facility on Sunday!!!

The rental agent, Tommy, was extremely helpful. He went above and beyond to help me. He even stayed after closing to help me hook up the auto transporter when I was delayed in traffic.
