The trailer I received had a hole in the roof through the ceiling and water came in and ruined several of the things I was moving in the trailer. I had to do an after hours drop off, and there was a problem with the trailer hitch. The insurance I purchased through u-haul did not cover assistance in this so I had to pay for a local tow company to come and remove the trailer from my vehicle.

Event Rental was great. UHaul customer survives have a lot that needs to be improved. We were hung up on three times, could not access the web site, people just wanted us off the line when we did get through. I was very happy when the lady from the Event Rental showed up and took care of everything in just a short amount of time.
larry WThe trucks ck engine came on 3 more times, the muffler died 400 miles into my 2500 mile trip and when I got there the left rear outside tire was bald leaving the small rental place with an unrentable truck on the lot, really need to be dropped off at a corporate location and prevent the independent from the hassle.
Joel SThe location was closed when I arrived, we were able to get to the truck over the phone, but the connection is spotty so far away from town. There was also a discrepancy in the amount of fuel in the tank which I documented.
Dawn BMake sure dollies are in truck if store is closed at time of pickup. Rented an appliance and furniture dolly that were missing from truck.

Brandy AThe original phone call I made to make a reservation the girl told me to go online. The next call the reservation was set for a lot that didn't have equipment. When I got to the only location they said was available with the equipment- The uhaul and trailer werent ready when I got there. I had to wait for them to log in to their system and move their equipment to get to the trailer unblocked. The straps for my vehicle came off in the middle of the trip. When I called roadside assistance I was on hold for approx fifteen minutes each tome and then the call hung up. When I got through I was told it was too late to visit a location (it was 9:30pm, so obviously..) I was told even though I paid for an inspection and was told on the phone they'd install the whole set up (but didn't), I'd have to pay again of someone came out to look at the equipment and nothing was wrong with it (and it was just installed incorrectly). So after I fixed the straps by a video, I had to slow my trip down to constantly check n ensure they were still on. Then the storage unit I reserved over the phone wasn't reserved. I was told on the phone that I had to go to location that was 30 minutes away from my destination because that was the only location that would have a 10 x 10 unit available. When I got there they didn't have any of the reservation information prepared and didn't know to honor the month for free. The unit was on the second floor and no one told me that or I would've chose a different unit. I was also told over the phone it would be climate controlled. It wasn't. I had an exceptionally horrible experience with uhaul's customer service!!
ceesha dOnly complaint is that it was not the place that I requested for pickup, it was significantly further away and less convenient. U-Haul seems to schedule locations for their convenience rather than for mine. Since it hopefully means lower costs, I am willing to put up with it for now.

Sherri BAlthough I finally rented the van that I initially reserved, I got the "run around" from U-haul. They changed my reservation 2 times and only received 1 e-mail. I just happened to stop by the other location to verify the rental change and to my amazement my rental had changed again. The young man tried to fix it, but could NOT. I HAD TO CALL 'TRAFFIC' myself and finally fix my initial reservation. And now after returning van, I have been charged differently than a previous rental amount. I'm not very pleased with the customer service on the telephone today either.

Dana STravelled 36,6 miles. Was charged $ 48,75 for fuel. Do these trucks get less than 2 miles per gallon? Also, was told I didn't need to put gas in upon returning, and was not told they would charge $ 30 to do it for me.
LAWRENCE PWe dropped the equipment off after hours and left keys and paperwork in drop box. Had no problems whatsoever.

I called to see why I was being charged and she got smart saying that the vehicle wasn't swept out and she made it seem like I stole something or damaged their property in my email. I only dropped off @ this location but I still would'my recommend it
