Price is affordable but customer service is very poor. The lady at the location was very rude. It is clear that she doesn't want to be there. Every question we asked was answered with a high level of rudeness. Not recommended. If you want to improve your business please hire people who are friendly, reliable and happy to assist clients.

The attendant was rude and not pleasant to deal with. When i asked about the tine of the return she became aggressive and stated that I had to be back by a certain time. If i did not agree she said i will ot get the van but I would charged for the fee as the van was set aside. I challenged that and claimed your advertised rate of $19,99 was misleading as most rental agreements give you 24 hours. She just claimed I could take the van but had to be back by 3:30pm. This requirement meant i was not able to achieve what I was intending as I had to get the van returned. Then to add insult to injury she said the total charge would be $77 and some change. The actual charge that showed up on my visa was for $92 and change. All in all a very disappointing experience.

the main concern was less about the location and more about the lack of communication from U-Haul about the change in drop off location. This location had very poor drop off information of signage for U-Haul and no parking available (had to park at a different location and walk over to confirm that it was the correct spot. Had to subsequently park at a different lot because this lot was full

I ordered 15 feet cargo van, dolly, and 10 blankets. Upon arrival I was told they have no dolly and no blankets. I had to argue with them to get my dolly and still never got my blankets. Very unorganized. When I went to drop off the truck the store is supposed to be open at 9am but was not open till 9:30am. I had to wait 30min and no one answered the phone to tell me if the store will open.

My location was changed which resulted in me having to spend money to transit to the new location, change my entire day plan, and cost more money in mileage and gas to get to the further location. I wasn't reimbursed for these extra costs even though Uhaul called and told me the vehicle I reserved was no longer available on the day I was to pick it up. Improvements would be adjusting the price for the inconvenience of changing something I already booked and was guaranteed.

It's not really the fault of the owners, it's just a tough place to drop off a big truck. If we were told ahead of time where to park the trucks (across the street) it would make it much better! Otherwise I would not recommend it to a friend.

I don't know how the fact that the truck given to me was missing a whole side mirror was missed??? And it seemed like I was either expected to drive that truck or have none if another reservation didn't agree to a change? I was banking on the blankets to protect glass and furniture. That there were zero meant some of my furniture got damaged. I don't know who that's on but ensuring the reservations are honoured is really important. Again. I don't know which part of the system was responsible for these issues but they were pretty big ones.

The online log in is pointless if I have to wait for the store to open to get the key for the truck. This means I was a half hour early and had to wait for the store to open to get the key. Don't advertise 24 hour service if you cannot deliver.

I reserved a 20' truck 2-3 weeks ago. However, I was told the day before that only a 10' truck was available. This was totally unacceptable, not less than 24 hiurs notice.

The interior cabin could've really used a vacuum. I can understand the floor, but the seats had a lot stuff/woodchips/Styrofoam pellets on them as well...

The shop worker at the location I rented from was rude and allowed her dog to be off leash terrifying customers and she was unable to contain it, as well it tried to bite and was being very aggressive with us. I notified animal control regarding this incident. The safety of customers should never be compromised. Bylaw in the city is to have dogs on a leash in public settings. There should be zero tolerance as this is a very serious liability.

The woman at the store was sooooo rude and horrible while we interacted. She was super short and unhelpful. I would NEVER EVER, use this uhaul pickup place EVER again. Everyone should stay far away from her. Also, my rented uhaul was not clean. And as a mechanic, they do NOT upkeep their trucks

The truck leaked gas onto the muffler. We returned it and told the clerks that the vehicle is an environmental hazard and dangerous to drive. They didn't see a problem as the gas tank was still half full, saying it's usable. We had to get a smaller replacement truck.

Although I ordered a dolly there was none available at this location and it was very inconvenient. I don't understand why I didn't get a message about this or why I had the option of renting one if they didn't have one . I was almost not able to pickup the item I rented the van to pick up , it was stressfull and inconvenient

The rental location did not have two out of the three items I critically needed to move: the furniture dolly and the moving pads. I had to go out of my way to buy a furniture dolly at my own expense. This is a basic, critical flaw of your business and made what was an already stressful day even more exasperating. To too that off, the truck was well past its service life - the battery DIED on us after just driving it back to our apartment. Incredibly inconvenient. As a result, we were charged an out of hours return fee which I fully expect to be returned to me. Please contact me directly to discuss the refund I will be expecting for both the furniture dolly and the out of hours return fee. I spoke with a lady at UHAUL head office called Jennifer, who confirmed these fees/payments will be reimbursed for the inconvenience of the whole experience. Thanks

Sketchy store. Prior to pickup, I had contacted U-Haul customer service to confirm that I could add a second driver at the time of pickup. U-Haul customer service confirmed that the secondary driver didn't need to be physically present. When I went to pick up the vehicle and asked to add the second driver; they told me the second driver needed to be there in person and that a photo of their driver's license wasn't enough. The sales person told me that their only job is to check that customer's ID's match them - and that's all they know to do.

Ensure vehicle is clean for each customer. I don't know how you can do this as i don't know your system for vehicle.returned spot checks but they aren't always completed,as I have encountered this issue almost every time. It's not that they are filthy but these days customers need a sense of effort being made on the company's part. If i have to clean my rental vehicle then i should get a discount or charge cleaning fee to you.

Previous renter left stained cardboard, sand and plastic wrap in the van, simple to have done but didn't clean up. I drove 25 km and topping up needed 10 L which equates to 40 L/100 km or 7 mpg (imperial) which a van should do better. It takes awhile before a gas gauge moves off full, I suspect the previous renter either didn't fill up completely or drove a short distance and didn't put any more gas in. Not U-Haul's fault, there are just inconsiderate people out there. I filled the tank, swept out the van, cleaned the garbage, and left the van clean for the next renter.

Front window handle was broken and just “resting” in place. The gear grip in the handle is stripped and so the window went down but not up and no one told me to not touch it so because the windows were fogged up when I first got in of course I rolled down the window and found it didn't roll up-! And the handle was basically off. After driving for fifteen minutes with the window down and finding it too cold I drove back to the pick up site to complain after I figured I couldn't roll it up - but after wasting my time to drive back (I tried to call first but no one answered the phone) the store operator offers no help at all and said they couldn't do anything and offered no alternative - they didn't even offer any types of discount for the mileage I wasted going back to the store since I couldn't get anyone in the phone. In the end I had to use it so drove around in cold weather with the window open for the four hours I had it for :-( :-( I brought back the moving truck one hour before it was due with proper gas (I overfilled it a bit) and one hour early. Seconds after the store operator closedthe account I realized I left my car keys at home - which was only a five minute drive away. I asked if I could use the truck thet I overfilled with gas and still had one hour left before due and she said no- she couldn't help because she closed the rental. Ok I understand that… but again there was no offer to help. I was told here was nothing she could do. I would've been happy to even pay for another one hour rental which I know would've been available since my due time was still not for another hour. But still no offer, no empathy was offered. Customer service equaled minus 0 on this one. U-haul needs to do better!

From the moment we arrived at this location and throughout our rental, we were disappointed with our experience. We'd rented moving blankets, which were unavailable at time of pick up. We then wasted over an hour sourcing moving blankets from other U-Haul locations in the area. When we got to our truck it looked like it hadn't been seen by representatives of the company in months. The cab was filthy and full of garbage including used masks and fast food wrappers. The back of the truck was also filthy and full of styrofoam, which we had to spend time sweeping out. Due to the delay in starting our rental, we were forced to request an extension mid-rental. At this time we tried calling the location we'd picked it up from, but there was no answer. It was then that we went online and discovered its many negative reviews, many of which highlighting that there were a number of phone numbers listed for the location that didn't seem to work. We finally connected with a U-Haul representative over the phone, whom advised us that another family had the truck booked at exactly the time we were scheduled to drop it off. When we said we could not get it back in time, the representative gave us the go-ahead, but failed to mention anything about a separate booking charge nor did they use that time to arrange an alternative for, nor at the very least notify the next family. At our previously scheduled drop off time, the employee at the pick up/drop off location called and yelled at us that another family was there to pick up the truck. I told her we'd tried to get through to let her know in advance and that we'd connected directly with a U-Haul agent when we weren't successful. There was a language barrier, and she didn't pause to let me explain. We were penalized financially, the family was not taken care of by the company, and the pick up location was not advised nor available throughout our rental.

U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer from 1-800-468-4285 called me at 12:26PM Saturday January 8th, 2022 to reconfirm my payment information for their billing department. I had to say my full credit card information over the phone. I had already gave my credit card info at 2889 Grandview Hwy #1, Vancouver, BC V5M 2E1. However around 1:11pm Saturday Jan 8th 2022, I was notified there has been a fraud $3 174,08 charge on my credit for Walmart Canada Inc. which I did not make this purchase. This is the only time I have given my credit card info over the phone. I highly suspect that U-haul has a security issue. Luckily, the fraud charge did not go through. I will not be using U-Haul again due to this. And it's a security risk asking credit card information over the phone. I hope this will be investigated and taken seriously.

The tires had no threads it snowed in Vancouver but even with plowed roads the tires would not get traction, we got stuck 3 times and almost got into accidents due to no traction. We did not even make another trip to move this was a complete waste of money had to get a different u haul from marine main branch so we could not risk our life's having to move.

No trucks available for one way service so I had to return mine to the original dealer. This was a surprise to the vendor when I dropped it offs. Also was informed that there was a return trip option that would have saved me money. All in all, I would never recommend or ever use U haul again. If it weren't for the vendor tell me this information I would have never know. Outrageous. U haul sucks!!!

The first tiime i rented on the 17 th a young man assisted me with awesome customer service. The 2nd time was not such a pleasant experience. The young lady was rude and made it quite clear what was and wasn't her job. Got quite snippy right away and her dog is very protective. I will recommend to friends but with a warning of caution if this woman is serving you and mind the dog which comes out of nowhere. The dog even followed me to the exit barking.

The truck's front left wheel had a stuck break some times. Tire wear was a bit high on that wheel as well. The dealer service and location was good.

The truck was a little bit away from the location which was fine as we were in a car but I imagine on foot could be more of an issue. But, overall it was fine. I was able to extend the rental which was a huge help.

Regarding the cost of km when we make the reservation there was no information regarding the cost of km the lady at your location told us that the cost was 35 CT's per km When we receive the final invoice was double the price can you explain why???

The location to pick up and drop off was fine. The online reviews really don't seem fair to the woman working there. She was nice to me and friendly. Usually rental cars are on a lot with the office, and you can go over the vehicle with the agent… I would feel more comfortable doing it that way, so I wouldn't potentially be blamed for damage I didn't do. Another benefit would be that a lot person could clean the vehicles between use. Overall though it was fine. The van was well maintained mechanically, and I was confident driving it.

convenient location and very friendly staff. This is the second time i've rented form uhaul and the inside of the van was ok, but the inside of the windsheild was filthy, to the point of impairing vision at night. Not expecting to have to clean a rental before i can use it

Horrible service. I rented a truck and 2 dollies because I was doing the moving alone, but when I arrived they told me that they don't rent dollies there, and asked me to go to a store nearby to rent or buy one.... I complained and they say that dollies are subject to availability. I had to go (with the rented truck) all the way to richmond to rent a dolly. In my case I couldn't move the furniture by myself without that. Even if the dolly doesn't look important, I expect the full order to be fullfilled, or at least I get notification before so I can do something about it.

Ordered a dolly and furniture pads with my truck and did not receive these items. The floor of the truck bed upon reception was wet, dirty and very slippery. They would not accommodate my request to drop truck off at a location closer to my home.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience with UHaul at this location. I'd read so many negative reviews that I was pretty sure that I would show up and the place would be late opening, the person serving me would be rude, their dog would frighten me and my rental would be dirty and not parked where I was told it would be. Thankfully, I experienced none of what I feared. The lady that served me was on time, she was pleasant to deal with and helpful, her dog was very friendly with me, and my rental was clean and exactly where I was told it would be.
