Awful experience trying to return the equipment. Could not get the app to recognize my location. Called customer service and waited almost 30 minutes on hold. The guy put me on the line and said he could not help and would transfer me to a supervisor. He transferred the call and the mailbox was full and. It was not accepting messages. So this was absolutely unacceptable I go inside to talk to the clerk and he said he could not do anything unless I completed some step on the app, but app was not working. I go back and forth with him in broken English and he finally calls someone at UHaul and they walk him through the process. This tool an hour and a half, totally frustrating. I cannot see any circumstance when I will use U-Haul again. This was the worst experience I have ever had with anything.

The location is a gas station. You have to do the paperwork with the register attendant in between gas station customers through the bullet proof glass. The attendant didn’t even know the van was parked out back or how to sign me out and back in. While I was waiting to be signed out a group of people came in and started harassing a female customer, then cursed out the attendant and told him they were going to shoot him. The attendant was nice but you can tell signing out a van was last on his list of things to do. Not getting shot was probably first. I will NEVER EVER EVER go back to this location. I’d rather carry my furniture one piece at a time. If I had to guess I’d say there’s at least a 35% chance you’ll be the victim of a crime if you go to this location. On the plus side the van was clean and ran well.

Full disclosure, the clerk was pretty new, however management left the clerk alone when there were reservations pending. I had to wait 30 minutes to get the key, because she had to call the manager, who had to call the owner to release the van despite having the 24/7 app confirmation to pick up the key.

I waited for an hour inside the store just to just sign the uhaul out and had to call the field manger so he could fix the over charge for the store. When I tried to return it it took over 40 mins because the man at the store didn’t know how to return it in the system , the left tire low warning light was on since I checked it out the inside wasn’t cleaned out prior to my rental

The person the was working that day did not want to give me the keys to the Uhaul. She had indicated her systems were not online, thereby she could not check me out even though i was checked out online and the only thing she needed to do was give me the keys. When i was talking to Uhaul to explain the situation she refused to even talk to the representative and it wasnt after a lot of back and forth that she finally agreed to speak to the uhaul representative. She was rude and intransigent about her systems not being online. This was the worst experience i have had while checking out a uhaul. This location should lose its contract with the company based on their inability to follow uhaul procedures and total lack of desire to address any deficiencies in their procedures.
