Terrible communication, I reserved online the day before with my credit card info, when we arrived the clerk wanted my credit card again which was a big inconvenience because I wasn’t the driver, I was at my storage waiting for the driver who called me & I had to meet him at the uhaul rental, we entered my card 3 or 4 times & the clerk kept saying there was a problem but the error message read that it was a prepaid reservation. We were there 30-40mins so I just gave him cash to get going. He kept my cash and my card was also charged. I was told I’d get a refund on my card in 24 hours. I’m still waiting. I also paid for a dolly that wasn’t in the truck, had to return to get one that wasn’t even used because the movers didn’t want to wait for me to return with it, they were almost done when I got back to the location. I was also charged more than my estimate even though the mileage was the same & we put more than enough gas in the truck. Overall terrible experience, I should’ve used the Erie location instead, these guys don’t know what they’re doing at the Fairfield She’ll location. I hope I get my money returned, what was supposed to be an easy online reservation was very stressful and time consuming at that location.

The clerk did not know what he was doing. I had to type in the information for him on the laptop. Then he tried to charge me $100 more for the rental that what my reservation said. He had to call someone to tell him to change the amount. Seemed really shady to me. Will never go back to this location!

Because it is among the host of other services offered by a gas station convenience store, based on the flow of customer traffic, it may take a little longer than normal for you to complete your rental pick up or drop off.

This was the worst experience that I have ever had! I will never rent from the company again. I called the regional manager days ago with no call back. The employees at the Fairfield location did not speak good English and were very incompetent. I will rent from Penske from here on out!!!! They gave me false information on drop off and over charged my debit card.

The customer service person (owner/co-owner) could understand the process better. I picked up my U Haul at 6:30 PM , but it was mistakenly stated on my form as 6:30 AM. I agreed to have the U Haul back in 24 hours (one rental charge of $19.95), but because he put "AM" the truck was considered late and I was charged $39.90). I did indeed return the U Haul BEFORE the 24 hour agreement, but was charged for TWO rental charges! I would like to be refunded for this $19.95 mistake, but I don't think that either owner,of Indian descent, would understand me (English is not their first language.), as I struggled to communicate with either of them initially. The third party's agent know nothing about how to use a trailor. I wasted more than one and a half hours there and had to change my plan. That was a horrible experience.

I booked on sharonvile location when I went to the location one day early for more inquiries about my truck they told me that we don't have a truck at this location then send me to Fairfield and I booked online a week ago SO WHEN YOU RESERVE YOUR TRUCK MAKE SURE YOU DOUBLE CHECK also my truck has a water leak lot of my boxes and my furniture get wet

Took 1.5 hours to pick up the truck I reserved even though it was sitting there. They said it was an issue with the previous renter, not my problem. The guys could not get it taken care of. I had to call U-haul customer service myself or I would have never gotten my reserved truck. Never will deal with that location again. If U-haul tries to transfer my pickup location again I will cancel my reservation. The truck was dirty and only a half tank of gas even though I picked it up at a gas station!

Pick up and drop off processing took an extremely long time. Also, after I picked up the equipment, on the same day I received an email indicating I was late returning the equipment even though I was scheduled to return the equipment on the following day. The folks at the location were kind, friendly and professional. It seemed to take a long time. I was the only customer there on pick up and drop off. I'm guessing this is a new process for that location or familiarization with the phone app low.

HAVE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE, HE WAS ON THE PHONE TEXTING, KEPT GOING FROM OVER TO HELP OTHERS INSTEAD OF FINISHING WITH ONE CUSTOMER. GET MORE EMPLOYEES TO ASSIST.
