Excellent help. Check in and check out was easy thanks to the people at the rental place
Patrick BlytheThe vehicle was clean for the most part so I marked yes, but there was a mint colored dental floss pick in the driver side door that was not mine. When I picked up the vehicle before the business hours, the directions shared did not match what was at that location and the lock where the key was kept, took forever to open, so much that I left the location an hour into my booked window. It caused me to rush that day to return the vehicle on time.

Edward KoskaThey were closed by 3pm on a Friday which seemed early to stop drop offs. Also the auto texts were asking me to return the vehicle as soon as possible because other families needed it, which was frustrating because the truck was late to us and we actually returned it almost two days early.
Chad CurtisThe back rollup door was incredibly difficult to lift up and pull down such that you had to try to slam it to get it close enough to lock actually straining my chest on the final time after doing it five times it never loosened up needs oil or something Truck is 13 years old
Michael CastroMy rental was fine. The people that I dealt with were friendly. My biggest issue I have is that I was 30 minutes late for my return, and was told that's ok. I assumed that meant I wouldn't be charged for the extra 30 minutes. they had told me the next rental for the equipment I rented wasn't until later in the day, so no one was inconvenienced. I got home and pulled up my email with my receipt and saw I was charged for an extra full 24 hour rental. #1, no one told me I was going to be charged more than the 1 day(24 hour) rental #2, Had I been told that, I would have kept the rental for that 2nd full day I was charged. #3, I did respond to the email link provided with my receipt, if there were any issues, and have not heard back with any response over my complaint. So here is my suggestion for future renters. Make sure you get clarification on your total bill before you pay and walk away. .
Chris FairleyFirst truck (self serve pickup) had no key and I had to get customer service involved. Second truck had check engine light and was filthy. Took me an hour to do the pickup.
Kiley Sullivanyou asked me to fold the blankets i used and i did. i was under a time crunch and could not wait for a cleaner uhaul. the one you gave me was oily in the back. i worked around it. then i get charged 125 for someone else's mess. I transported nothing that had gasoline or oil in it. i transported furniture and clothes. i am dissatisfied with this place.

Jim KalinowskiDropped off truck after hours. My app to return truck did not complete process. I remembered from video to take pictures of gas and mileage. But app didnt go thru entirety about what picture to take or even to download photos. After trying to complete truck return several times on app. App stated completed and I would receive a call. Now I have a damage bill for truck. The pictures that showed damage do not show entire truck. Only a small section showing 2 points of damage. There was no damage when we dropped off truck and now i have $150 charge for deductible from insurance I took on rental. This is ridiculous!!

Steven DrakeI picked up the U-Haul. The manager brought out five moving blankets and tossed them into the back of the U-Haul. When he opened the back door, the back was covered in clods of dried mud. He did not offer to sweep it out before I took it. When I climbed into the front cab, the floors were covered in dirt and grime, berries, and the dash was covered in either dirt or dust that had accumulated over a long period of time. I had to clean out the back of the U-Haul before I could load all my new furniture. If it wasn't for needing to get on the road and start my moving day, I almost didn't want to get in the front of the truck… It was that dirty.

Ken TuttleNot sure if it is UHaul Corporate or this location policy, but the Safe Move was put on my contract without my knowledge. It started from the request for a rental (by phone). It was added without asking a question or confirming that I want it. I noticed that it was on my contract when I first received the email link about the contract and I removed it from the services online. However, now that I have a the receipt for the move, I see that it somehow was added back into the agreement. I should have asked when I picked up the vehicle to make sure, but I assumed that since I removed it online it would not be there. In truth, either UHaul or the location should ask if I want this before adding it. When I was told the estimated price, I did not pick up that this $15 was added, as the total for the vehicle and miles was close to the total in my mind.

David SloanOne guy working at opening? Check out took too long. Nobody there when I returned the truck at 12:30. Should have personalized return instead of all the online crap. Didn't even know I had to take pictures until after I had dropped it off and put the key in the slot! Poor way to do business. Someone should have been there the entire time doing their job, not leaving it on the customer.

Michael OconnorI tried to do the Mobile Sign In once I arrived and the app wouldn't find my location. Luckily the business was open and I was on the road in 15 minutes from arrival. Truck was clean and did it's intended mission. Return process on the app worked just fine. Merci.

Kathi DegennaroI think the truck was washed out when we got it because the inside where you store everything was soaked. We had to dry it down with several towels before we could put anything in it. The vehicle feels very dated and doesn't run too smoothly. Very bumpy, very fuel inefficient ride… went through gas so quickly. The windows are roll down which really isn't cool anymore, although my passenger in her young twenties had never seen those before in her life, and so she enjoyed them. There is also no spot to plug in a usb or gps… there's the old cigarette lighter adapter… more than a bit outdated - my phone died and I ended up driving several miles in the wrong direction which was a very costly mistake… a hilarious mistake, but could've been avoided with a more comfortable and updated vehicle. I could not for the life of me figure out how to turn the radio on. Anyway, the gentleman who initially rented the vehicle to me was very nice, and helpful. Returning it was easy, the contract is pretty straight forward. The ramp was amazing, and I was grateful to be able to rent this vehicle… I'm great at driving it now, but it does feel like a wooden rollercoaster…. Worth it, moving was easy with it. I would recommend updating the unit if that's an option, it would make it so much nicer. Merci.

john campolietoI reserved a truck for pick up in Rochester on the phone application. My reservation mysteriously disappeared when it was time to pick up the truck. They were nice enough to find me a truck but it was in East Rochester,. Already frustrated at that experience I am a little jaded when it comes to evaluating the Fairport pick up. The gentleman who wrote out the contract was super nice. He said that the sensors on the truck were in need of repair so the tire pressure light being on didn't mean anything. The mirrors on the truck were super hard to adjust as they seemed to be rusted in place. There was no knob on the manual window crank on the driver's side door. The rear door for the storage was hard to get up and down. As a last resort, I was grateful to have any vehicle.
