My biggest issue with this experience is that the cargo door broke under normal use and customer service made me file an insurance claim. I feel broke do to normal wear and tear and is not my problem, none the less I bought the more expensive insurance through u-haul so I didn't have to worry, yet after wasting time fussing to get the door closed you give the run around calling Rep West to make a claim, this should go much smoother.

Our rental was confirmed the day before, but was not actually at the pickup location. Uhaul dispatch was not only very unknowledgeable, but also kept diverting us with incorrect numbers to call and loose-ended answers that ran us in circles. We ended up driving around, ourselves, to find a place with the truck we needed and then told uhaul where it was. It took 2 hours to get the truck checked out. At this point, we were held up nearly 4 hours getting started on our moving day, totally unacceptable. Then, to top it off, we were double charged and got the run-around, again, in regards to getting our money back on the extra charge. I will never rent uhaul again and will go out of my way to tell people I know to rent from a different moving company. Each uhaul franchise is disconnected from the other and nobody seems to have any accountability.

Mike was a life saver!!!! He went out of his way to help! He saved Uhal from a really bad review on google, yelp and any other social media I can post do not use U-Haul for cross country moving.

No windshield washer fluid in the vehicle when I picked it up. Nothing against the pickup location, but we requested a pick up in White River Junction, VT and I was forced to drive over 75 miles round trip to pick up the vehicle. The U-haul reservation manager for Vermont was terrible. I asked him directly if drive such a long distance to get a very was convenient, he repeatedly refused to answer. This gentleman owes my wife and I am apology.

This location is basically a dump of old and broken farm equipment with a few U-Haul vehicles to the side. When we arrived, there was no one there, even though the posted hours showed them as open. Because it is out in the middle of nowhere, there was no cell service to do the self-return through the website. Fortunately, a neighbor offered to let the owners know where we dropped off the trailer

The place looked like a junk yard, and we were worried about leaving the truck without a lock on the back. We were nervous that someone would come and take the blankets or dolly we rented, but everything worked out. It was also tricky finding the drop box. We arrived after hours, so there wasn't anyone there. The place looked really run down, and if it weren't for another U-Haul truck in the lot, we wouldn't have felt comfortable leaving the truck. Also we have some questions and asked for a return call, but no one has gotten back to us.

This comment is not about the pick up but rather the customer service I received before that. The supervisor in the Massachusetts office has no customer service skills. She was abrupt and not friendly at all. I had concerns about my pickup location and the amount of miles I was given and she was not willing to address my concern nor give somebody else to speak to. She kept repeating that she was the top person and that there was nobody else to talk to. Terrible personality for a supervisor in customer service.

As a drop-off location it was fine and conveniently close to my location. But it was not clear how to drop off the vehicle: no one was there (not surprising on a Sunday), but there were no signs or key drop-off box to explain how to properly "drop off". And I had no cell phone connectivity to do the online drop-off. Ultimately I called customer service (at the next gas station, where I did have cell connectivity) to explain.

I had to keep the truck for an extra 2 days @40.00 per day. I thought that was way too much, especially when the side of the truck advertises 19.99 per day.

This place is closed on the weekend and doesn't have good LTE service to be able to return the vehicle online. It was very frustrating and stressful. The key ended up getting locked in the cab. The first uhaul rep that I called told me to call AAA. AAA told me that they couldn't unlock the type of uhaul we had because it was considered a commercial vehicle. I called customer service back and the lady I spoke with just put a note on the contract.

Muddy driveway, no one there, not very inviting and I'm not even sure if there's an office. Also the staff charged us $10 cleaning fee for "packing tape all over the floor," which doesn't even make any sense. The packing tape was on our well-sealed boxes, and we didn't unpack them in the vehicle. Also for one stray bottle my husband didn't notice and left in the cab. $10. We're clean people and knew enough to clean up any garbage, and even cleaned out the garbage upon original pickup. Disappointed overall with the experience.

Customer Service. I am sure the Uhaul rep is a nice guy but he comes across very unhelpful and grumpy. He couldn't find my online reservation, it wasn't in the system but I have the online reservation in my inbox. He told me he would have to enter the information in for the reservation even tho I had already done it online (not his fault but Uhaul's system). Then he had to re-enter the information three times to get it to work (system again). All in all, it took 45 minutes and should have taken 5 minutes. The actual tow dolly worked great. I would us Uhaul again but I would get it from another location next time. UHAUL - fix the system, my online reservation did not show up on his pending reservations page, either rep. training is required or software engineers. Overall: Two stars for the location Two stars for the system Four stars for the equipment.

I called customer service Saturday, and the woman I spoke with was curt and rather rude. She told me information that was completely different about my return options from what I was told when I picked the trailer up. When I questioned her she stated that "You signed a legal contract." As if I was trying to do something other than what I had been told was ok when I picked up the trailer. I would avoid uhaul because of her alone when I can. Also the trailer listed as 5x9 will not fit an item only 4'10" wide inside it. Had I known I would not have rented an unusable trailer.

Double check equipment. The tire was flat when we picked up the dolly. Farmall- Fix just blew it up and pronounced it OK. Tire went flat again during the trip. Valve stem had to be replaced during the trip.

It's mud season up in central VT, and the parking lot at Farm All Fix is pretty muddy. I have 4 wheel drive, so no problem, but I can see it being an issue for some.

It's a funky, farm tractor repair shop. Not real clean, but that's the kind of place it is. Nice guy, took care of my return quickly. I expected to go much farther from home to return the rentals, because there isn't a lot of business here. For that I am especially pleased.
