Reserved uhaul for 9am. Showed up and no uhaul available. Called customer service and couldn't get uhaul until 3pm even though reserved one for 9am prior to date. Drove over an hour to pickup uhaul and had to linger in city of pickup for 6 hours until uhaul available. Lost all people to help load uhaul from storage unit due to time change with uhaul truck and had to load myself. Took hours to load and had to unload in the dark once returned to destination due to time change. Awful experience.Randall H.

When I made my reservation for a 10 foot truck over the phone with UHaul, I was given an address as to where to pick up the truck. I called that number a couple of times in the days prior, but received no answer. When I went to pick up the truck there was no one at the location. I called the 800 number and was told the location had been changed and that I had been notified with a voicemail call. I did not receive any voicemail call. Then I went to the location the 800 number told me to go to and the truck I had reserved had not been returned the previous day.The man at this location ( Buzzy) was very nice and apologetic and called several other locations to try to locate a truck. He finally did after about 45 minutes. I then went to the new location ( this is the third location now) and they had the truck but did not have the two different dollies that I had requested. As is obvious this was not a good experience and I will not rent from UHaul again.Jane S.
I do not like the rental charges changing. I had to extend my rental, originally $39 or so, and from 12:00 - 12:00 am. When called to extend until 12:00pm the next day, thought I still had 12 hours on original but was told since I didn't tell them at that time, it would be an additional $69! So $39 for first 12 hours and then a jump in rate to $69 for next 12 hours, doesn't seem fair or legit. I think I was unfairly charged.Ralph W.

I paid online. I ordered a 15 ft truck. I was supposed to pickup one location n they sent me to fast stop. I got there they told me their was no 15 ft trucks n I can have a 20 ft for same price n then charged me $70 more. I should get my money back. The service sucked n charged me extra money. The experience was very bad. They didn't do a walk through. Didn't have much gas to start out. Just plain terrible. I had to b there over an hour arguing cuz they wanted me to pay 250$ more n I refused. They wanted to send me to another place to pick up. Just so terrible. Uhaul really sucksTheresa W.

Make sure the customer gets what size they have reserve for. I reserve a 26 size truck and they guaranteed I will have it on the day of pick up. But when i went to get the truck, i was told they don't have it. I was shocked because until the morning before i picked up, they confirm that i will have it but no. Then I have to get a 20 sized truck for the same price as the 26 size. I was like OMG. I got betrayed. And the result, i have to leave a lot of my stuffs back as it didn't fit in the 20 size truck. The pick up experience was horrible. The original location was closed on Sunday when I went to pick it up the truck was blocked in and no way to get out. I then was directed to a place which had 0 trucks.Martin J.

I usually love using u-haul services, but this time I was quite disappointed. Fast stop was great, but the wrong address was listed on my confirmation email. The next location informed me that the truck that we reserved was still with the customer that extended their time. Then sent me to the fast stop where we finally got a truck across town. Thankful that I was able to receive a truck , but disappointed that it took an extra hour and a half while I had movers waiting on me.Debbie W.

The rear turn signals and brake lights were out on the van and it wasn't cleaned out. Additionally, the app was extremely buggy and would not accept my photos or information that I input for either the pick up or return and I had to do it in person. The location itself was great, the staff were friendly and very helpful, however my overall uhaul experience was lacking.ALEX R.

There has been a lot of snow lately. The floors in the back of the truck are really slick. The 10ft truck doesn't have a ramp. This resulted in me sliding trying to step down and falling out of the truck.ERIN M.

The truck was in poor mechanical condition with the check engine light on as well. Steering was very loose, and would go past 60 without having to floor the gas peddle. This truck sucked down a half tank of gas over the course of 100 miles. Tell tale sign something wasn't right with this truck.David P.

While I don't expect anyone to go out and completely clean off the snow from the trucks, I do expect that the rear door is closed. I'm responsible as the renter to sweep out the truck or I get a fine. However, when I picked this truck up there was literally an inch of snow inside part of the box area in the back because the door was left open. Also the mobile app wouldn't workSean M.

The truck was fine and what I needed, however it was not clean. There were food and drink stains left from previous customers. The floor had lots of dirt or dry mud all over. I had to be very careful to keep form getting it on my clothing. The staff was courteous, but the truck was filthy.DARRYL S.

Trailer and trucks parked in grass area on a hill no directions or help from staff. When I dropped off they did not look at trailer or give any directions or instructions . The trailer I rented was not in balance at all. Every bump in the road, the trailer would be all over the road. If I didn't have a heavy vehicle and experience with a trailer, I would have definitely wrecked. I couldn't even drive the speed limit. Someone is going to get hurt with this trailer. I hope it was just this one and not a flaw in the design of all of them. I'll likely never rent from uhaul again.MARY H.

I did self check in and went to turn the keys in and was told I had to take it back to midway 藍- this man was a complete ass I put the keys on the counter and left. I knew I was where I was supposed to be and he didn't know what the heck he was talking about- rude to say the very least. Not a reflection of Uhaul- because my experience has always ended up positive when things have gone wrong someone is always there to help which is why my family and I have consistently used them over the years. The people who run the fast stop have literally no idea how to help with anything related to Uhaul. First, they tried to avoid giving us the dolley we paid for (no one even told us they didn't put it in the truck, so we had to drive all the way back!!!), claiming they didn't have any (even though he was eventually able to go back into some room and get one). Then when we were returning the uhaul, the app wouldn't take picture uploads, so I had to go inside to have them end everything for me, but again, they have no idea how to do anything, so they just shrugged and said just turn in the key, making me worry about just leaving the truck there while still in my liability. There was no easy way to reach out to assistance through the app for instances where it doesn't work, and that's a huge problem.Elaina F.

This is the second time I have used the 24/7 pickup feature, and the second time that it has let me down to where I had to call customer service to fix the problem. My truck was at my location, but since the building was closed my uhaul account wouldn't let me proceed with the pickup (24/7?). Customer service got me a truck at a different location, but the 'take photo' stage of pickup was not working on the website. I finally had to go inside and re-do the uhaul order in person. Very poorly designed 24/7 pickup feature, I would not recommend anyone pickup a uhaul that way.NATHANIEL H.
The rental experience was very good except for the smell inside the truck of cigarette smoke from prior rental. Luckily I had an in town move and not a long haul move, no way we could have handled the cabin smell.MATTHEW D.
