This location was excellent and the equipment was fine. Two things that I think are crazy and always irritate me about UHaul and make me want to rent something else: 1. You specify that the trailer is "water resistant" instead of "waterproof." It's clearly waterproof and the reason I am renting a covered trailer is that I need something that is waterproof. If it leaks it's broke and you should fix it. I have pulled your trailers in pounding rain multiple times with no leaks. Saying "water resistant" is big company cowardice. 2. Your 55 mph signs are a joke. If that was really the case nobody could pull your trailers on any interstate. That would mean you basically couldn't rent trailers. Again, this is just blatant cover your tail dishonesty. You're a big company. Have some courage and be honest about these things.

The lady argued with me about my reservation. Claiming that she didn't have No Record of it. I showed her my copy from Email and she Refused to except it. It took me 45 Minutes to get out of there. I also never got a Copy of my LEASE from her.

The list of equipment available at a selected location should be reflected in the web page. For example, if the location does not have moving pads, those should not be available for selection. I selected and paid for them, then found out that the location didn't have any. That created some last minute problems for me because I was counting on them.

Someone had the mileage screwed up on one end or the other and they are now trying to charge me for an extra 1000 miles. The lady never checked my return equipment at all. It's ridiculous that I have to deal with this because of shitty employees who won't do their job.

Make sure all staff is trained on the uhaul rental process. Find the keys to your uhauls. The ladies at the store were nice but unorganized. I showed up on time and the associate wasn't trained for uhaul rental. I then waited for 30 minutes for the manager. When she got to the store she searched for another 30 for the keys and calling owners and other associates. The staff was helpful and nice but unorganized.

The gas station woman told me one price get back and they keep my 100 dollar deposit and then tells me i iwe 7 more dollars up on top of 205. Then i get a receipt through my email telling me i get 90 some dollars back and i call the 1800 uhaul and yall tell me it was a glitch and y'all don't owe me it and upon top only using it for 12hr or so the gas station woman that was RUDE AS HELL jerk the keys off the counter when intold her i was going to keep it for my whole24hrs since y'all was charging me over 200 dollars and jerked the keys off the counter as i was grabbing them and said she had someone coming n a few hrs for it and never gas a pamphlet with information never gave me the paper for if i got pulled over or anything so if i had to give yall a star it be negative 10 piss poor service at the gas station and with y'alls agents ??????

The only negative to the experience was that the trailer was EXTREMELY difficult to hook up. But, that could have just been a fluke for that particular trailer which was a 5 x 12. I ended up using a 5 x 8 and it hooked up in seconds. The manager of the location, her name was Mo, was EXCEPTIONAL! She was kind, helpful and very customer focused on handling multiple customers at once but treated every customer with great service! This was the best U-Haul location I've ever used!

The personnel in the Fort Defiance Foodmart were very friendly and helpful. However, the U-Haul equipment, in our case 6 X 12 cargo trailer, did not have a tongue jack. So, the tongue of the trailer was sitting on the ground. The total weight of the trailer and tongue is too heavy for an average person to pick up, let only try connect the trailer onto your hitch. This creates an unsafe situation. We did not know that the trailer did NOT have a tongue jack until we picked it up. My advice is to make any reservations online, rather than calling the 800 phone number. In my case, customer service is very poor, along with their tracking system for their equipment.

They swapped the car I was hauling with the truck I was pulling it with in the computer. LOL, no big deal.

The attendant at the convenience store was very helpful and accommodating, given the fact that I had reserved a 4x8 trailer and they only had 6x12s. I had driven 1650 miles from Colorado, and my load only required a much smaller trailer. I accepted the 6x12 in order to stay on schedule; the 1650 miles back to Colorado was grueling and increased my fuel burn significantly.

Customer Service Representative was helpful, polite, honest and dedicated. She worked hard to address our needs and concerns regarding reservation and previous damages and issues regarding the truck. I would give her a 5 star on performance, etc.

The truck was running very roughly. Also, the furniture pads that where provided smelled of cat urine. We told them and where still charged for them even though they were told that we did not use them due to smell.

There were no problems with this location, but I was supposed to drop the truck off at another the location. After I had already rented the truck uhaul sent me a notice that I needed to return it here instead. It was 10 miles out of the way, which caused me to have to pay extra for mileage.

Had bad experience with getting my truck through traffic, but this location is very user friendly and works with you. Location is great, and the greater Staunton and Fishersville area U-Haul dealers are exceptional.

I told them i did not want to return the uhaul truck to their location due to it being a 20 mile extra trip back to them but they set it to be returned to them anyway. I ended up being charged over $170 fee when returning it to a uhaul location closer to me. I would not recommend to rent from them they do not listen to the customer and seem shady.
