Parking lot is quite small for the larger trucks.Emily H.
The windshield was so dirty on the inside that it was difficult to see when the sun angled through the front windshield. It was also covered with dried-on dog nose dribble and the van smelled of dog. I have pet allergies and have been feeling poorly since using the van (sinus & throat are severely affected). I would not have bothered to mention the previous issues, but upon returning the van, the drop-off procedure gave us 30 minutes of trouble. It was lengthy and difficult and we thought that our sharing of the photos detailed in the requirements didn't go through because it kept timing out and quitting during the process. In fact, we gave up and decided we'd have to call the facility the following morning to clarify our drop-off times with the timestamps on our photos. In addition, CUSTOMERS MUST BE ADVISED in some way that the PHONE WHICH PLACES THE ORDER should be ONSITE WHEN DROPPING OFF! With all these issues, we most likely will not utilize U-Haul again for any future needs, and we are definitely tech-savvy enough to handle normal transactions such as this. I received numerous texts and phone calls from you re. my reservation, but my reservation could not be found at the rental location and no 15 ft truck was available. Luckily the owner was able to rent me a smaller truck that was reserved by a person that didn't show up. Very satisfied with Fricke Hardware, but totally disssatified with the UHaul reservation system.Alwin P.

This location did not have the equipment I rented on the U-haul app. They had a Chevy Express Van not the Ford Transit van shown in the photo and that was there the last time I rented a van from them. Ford Transit drive nicer, get better MPG, have a lower cargo height and a taller roof which allow my staff to stand up which makes loading large furniture much easier. This isn't Fricke hardware's fault. It is Uhauls fault. I could have driven 1 mile from work if I wanted an Express Van but I travelled further and paid more in gas and miles to have the van with the cargo area we needed to load the items we had. This info needs to be on the appCHRISTOPHER M.

Place was really nice only issue I had was the truck leaked in the back with the rainJOHN W.
Update the web application to show the trucks at each location for the date and time of the reservation. U-Haul changed my location by 23 miles after I reserved a truck because you couldn't see the location I chose had NO trucks available on the date I chose. I am certain that information was easily available, but the inferior application could not track it. Also the scheduler who called me with the bad news the day before my rental was totally useless in working with me to figure out how I could rectify the last minute $50 additional cost AFTER I already had given my CC number and secured a reservation. You are fortunate that Enterprise doesn't rent trucks in my area.Daniel M.

It was confirmed for me to pick up in Mount Joy, but I was notified the morning of to pick up in Columbia instead. I don't feel like I should have had to pay the difference in the mileage from Mount Joy to Columbia and back, which was approximately 16 milesLori M.

After not being able to access the key to the van yesterday, I rented the van today from the same place. Found out they gave me the wrong pass code to get the key. NO ONE SAID SORRY! Nothing was offered for the huge inconvenience of not being able to access the key yesterday. I was told the van was FULL of has and CLEAN so I signed off. ( stupid on my part...I trusted them!!) The tank was only 3/4 full and the back had a lot of wood chips in it. Too late..I already signed off. I went a total of about 10 miles and ended up having to put in $16,49 in gas to fill it up. After arriving to drop off the van, once again, NO ONE SAID THEY WERE SORRY. They talked to me like I really wasnt there...i tried to tell them my issues and thry eere like ok hsve a great dsy. Totally brushed me off. I wont rent from them again..dont believe I will buy from teir hardware store agsin either. They lost a customer....if only they had been even a bit empathetic.......sorry means so much!!Roxanne B.
I gave high marks because I have used this location with counter pick up and had an excellant experience. Today, however was not a good experience! I reserved a van. I enter all my information online...no problem. I go to get the key out of the lock box. The manual lock would NOT open to access the key. I tried over and over w/no success. I called U Haul...on hold 25 min waiting for a real human. Got a hold of a lovely lady who worked with me and the regional manager. Keep in mind its 39 degrees outside and snowing. I cant go to my car because the lock box is up on a porch. There were 3 lock boxes there...the top one...the only being used. WHY??? Its so high up...it was hard for me to see and reach. Why not use the lower unused one for ease of access? I digress...after 30min on the phone with the nice lady and manager and 3 codes later, we gave up. I was transferred to the schedulder so my reservation could be cancelled. 30 more min of being on hold I finally was connected with another very nice person. My reservation was cancelled. This was not UHauls fault...this was the PU sites fault. I chose New Years day to move things cause parking for the van was free and I had off work. I had to reschedule. I was really inconvienced by this. I had to take a day off work and will have to pay for parking if I can even find parking risking a ticket by double parking. Not so sure I will ever use after hours pick up again at Frickes Hardware.Roxanne B.
I was charged a cleaning fee of $25.00. I was informed this is Uhaul's policy. I asked to use a broom to sweep the 1/2 cup of soil from a plant. "None available!" I was informed the back also needed hosed out but they dont allow Uhaul renters to use their equipment. In conclusion; a $19,95 rental ended up costing over $75!linda I.

U-HAUL IN GENERAL WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE! Thank his Fricke Hardware was so awesome and helpful but U-Haul customer service was awful. Your computers crashed and we were suppose to meet the person we were buying couches from at 10:00am and didn't get there until 10:57am because your website wouldn't approved us to leave until your website said so. I never want to use U-Haul again.Shannon B.
