Sally RA great video on how to back in your trailer in a driveway. The trailer is very responsive is very hard to learn to drive backwards. Youtube has videos..but after 1:30 hours of watching OK videos..piecing together the best parts of each video...I still did not learn how to back my trailer correctly. UHAUL please make the best trailer training videos on the internet PLEASE, spend the money..it is necessary!
Alan CIf this is based on 5 stars with 5 being the best, you get a 6. The entire process from start to finesh and by everyone involved was exceptional!!! Everyone exceptional! Some times you get good service from one department but not another… not this transaction… Everyone exceptional, pleasant and what u call model customer service. Have been telling all my friends and will share anywhere and everywhere I can. THANK YOU!!!!!!

matthew bOur destination is less than 3 miles mile from the Louis Doe Center on Mills Road in Newcastle. This location was not listed as a drop off choice however. I called UHaul customer service and they gave me a regional number to call to see if we could return the truck to the much closer drop off location. The agent there said only that "it won't let me change to the Mills Road destination." We were forced to drive 45 minutes to Gardiner with no explanation or option to use the far more convenient drop off location. After a long trip this was extremely inconvenient

Steven BThe process for going thru U-Haul at the Gardiner Maine location was great. The folks there were very helpful, the vehicle was in great condition, maintained well, and ran like a champ. However, U-Haul Corp's. process for online application, verification, and all the requirements done by I-phone are cumbersome and frankly, a pain in the rear. Why don't you simply do it at the rental location in person? What if folks don't have an I-phone or are not familiar with taking photos, logging onto U-Haul, or are not conversant with the use of on-line Apps? As I said, no reflection on the Gardiner Rental location and staff, but U-Haul, as a corporation, ought to re-look its procedures. And, oh, BTW, your rates, fees and charges are ridiculously excessive.
KENT BI had 2 diffrent trucks the first lost its engine . The second had breaks had serious ishues they pulled to the left and would lock up almost causing an accident. I will not recomend Uhaul to anyone $ 4 000 dollers and the worst move in my life. I should get a refund including the extra night in a Hotel $ 200 plus food! Archie Dearborn

VICTORIA LI made a one-way reservation to pick up in New Castle, but New Castle does not do one-way rentals, so I had to travel to Gardiner to pick up the equipment. This was NOT convenient and frankly disingenuous at the least, or blatantly fraudulent on your part since a one-way from New Castle was never going to happen.
Robert ZService was great at gardiner tool rentals. I'm not satisfied with the roof leaking during a rain storm and damaging my mattress and memory foam mattress pad.

NICHOLAS DThis is a U-Haul company comment. (The Gardiner location people and whole experience were both AMAZING! They were so accommodating and nice people.) U-Haul Company: The whole "fill the gas to the 1/4 mark" or "to the 7/8 mark" is ridiculous. It should be 100 % full every time and then it would be so much easier on the renter to return it as expected. Why make it so difficult? The motto should be "bring it back full, just like it was given to you". That would be so much easier!

Doug HOnline after-hours pick up was frustrating and took longer than it should have (by no fault of this location in particular). Please make this more user friendly.
Sinead BWell the cab of the U-Haul wasn't clean. The heater / AC barely worked! And the alignment was off as well as a lot of play Within the steering wheel while driving.
Byron SDrop off was rather uncomfortable. I was told to back the trailer into a space barely large enough. I refused and was treated badly for refusal. A customer should not be expected to do this. We should just drop off the trailer and get the receipt. No complaints from renters. I will drive 1/2 hour to rent from a different uHaul store.

Definitely will be back for more as we have friends moving to the area and have a lot to move. Very friendly staff where we dropped off the truck as well in Springfield.

PERCY SWould I recommend U-haul to a friend maybe. I called to rent a vehicle carrier and was told to my nearest location would be Brunswick Maine as I live in Lewiston the Auburn facility was not available. I was never told a specific time to pick it up. I called Brunswick the day before to verify my item would be ready because I had a long-distance to get my vehicle. Around 9 am a Gardner Facility called and told me I was late to pick up the item this is about 20 miles in the opposite direction from where I was going. I don't know why or how my item got switched to another facility after I already called to verify my Brunswick location. This became very stressful and I needed to rush even more to get to my location whereas I had less time. If I had to rate my experience with u-haul that day from a 1 to 10 as 10 being the best I'd give it a 3.

Beth T2 tires on the trailer were worn down to the wear bars and had some cracking, the other 2 were new.. Location was closed for drop off Sunday so I did the online check in but that apparently doesn't work very well because I was charged 20 late drop off even though I dropped it off early and they have cameras to check. I would rate this as my worst experience with U-haul so far and I've used them about 5 times so far . I did get the owners to reverse the 20 fee though after calling. The people who own the business are nice people the experience was mostly on U-Haul.
