I rent from UHaul often. This was the worst experience I have ever had with Uhaul.

Would be better if they had someone to help hook up
ALAN SWhen I booked the reservation the price quoted was $54. When I received the bill it was $63. It took approximately 20 minutes for the store clerk to use the computer to check me in. I received no paper work for the rental. The clerk didn't leave the store and I received no help hooking the trailer to my truck when picking up or returning the trailer. I absolutely would never recommend this location again.
ANDREW TThe back door to the uhaul was stuck and it took 3 of us to get it to open. When we got it home we realized that the utility dolly that we paid for was not on the truck. We went back and they told us there was nothing they could do if it wasn't in the truck. They said they would return my money for the item but never did. The gas light came on as soon as we pulled out of the parking lot. All around not a great experience.
Jill WI submitted a request online for a U-Haul. I left the reservation there for more than 24 hours and when I get to the location, the extra stuff that I added on the U-Haul like the furniture pads were not there. I was moving glass and other items and this required me to need those furniture pads. I was charged double because I did not return the U-Haul at the right time. Only an hour later I received a $20 after hour fee and I did not get a refund yet. this is ridiculous because I didn't get what I wanted and now I have to pay double an extra added fees for something I didn't receive.

William SMake sure they are updated before continue the task for the customers without being asked questions why they did not literally meeting the request before the guest's arrival. I had to remind or tell them I requested a dolly, and 5, ONLY 5 blankets, there was none, I was given the dolly and that was it. I left in the truck nearly empty in fuel so I put in more, way above where it was when i picked it up, I wasn;t given some money back for the fuel II put in.

DONY JTried to do the no contact pick up the day before my move I was informed the location hadn’t confirmed they prepared the truck, so my pickup was delayed until their business location opened.
CODY SI had to drive 20 miles to pick up this truck, when I drove back to where I was loading, I saw a truck at the location that I wanted in the first place. Not happy with the switch, seems like Uhaul wanted the mileage fee

Kami RThis place should only be a drop off location. The person working the counter was not very educated on the UHaul pick up. It was just a gas station with some uhauls around back. The woman also checked out like 5 people while she was helping us. I will never pick up a uhaul from here again. After dealing with this pick up I may never use Uhaul again. There are plenty of other places to go.
Abby WI had a pick up time at 10am the truck was covered in snow and ice and did not have an ice scraper. the gas tank was less than a 1/4.

nuvia rFirst of all. I only had the truck for 1 day, I returned it almost 3 hrs. Earlier than I thought it would be. I was unable to scan the QR code needed to check it in. The agent couldn't do it either. I left without him ever checking the mileage and he said he'd do it later. I never received any paperwork when I took possession, nor when I returned it. I called the 800 # I received no help either; I was told the store was closed but I'd need to go back there to close it out. I returned and the agent had me go out and get the mileage and gas gauge amount. I put in more gas than I received it with. It was below 1/2 a tank and I returned with more than that. I tracked the mileage with my car and it was 9,9 miles. I've used U-haul many times over the years and have NEVER had these issues. I was never told I had to return it the same day if I was to be charged for one day (instead I was charged for 2 despite the fact that I returned a good 3 hrs prior to the time I said I might be returning it) I returned by 4 pm but was unable to get it closed. The "safe charge was $30, not the $5 I was quoted. This was terrible service and no information at all was given to me otherwise it would have been checked in earlier. There should NOT be charges of $114. Without applicable taxes my charges should equal $42.77, no where near $114. I'm highly disappointed in all aspects of this transaction and what little customer service I received on the phone and at the Valero. I further returned the vehicle cleaner than it was when I received it.

Angela CThe worst service ever. These people charged me for 2 days. I rented a truck and returned it within 90 minutes. They acknowledged that it was returned within 90 minutes but yet insisted that they had to charge me for 2 days. There are 24 hours in a day and 48 hours in 2 days. DO NOT waste your time or maybe your money using this location. Unbelievably horrible experience!

Jeff RThe Gardner location is very inconvenient. It cost me an additional 60 to 70 miles round trip. If you live in the Kansas City area, don't waste your time driving to Gardner. Just postpone your move until a vehicle become available closer to home.

Natasha JThey had 1 person running the gas station and the U-Haul. The person was ignoring the U-Haul customers to help the gas station customers first as they kept coming in. Waited at least 20 minutes before even being helped because of it and we had people waiting to help us.
CURTIS FIt took over an hour and three different rental agreements and multiple calls to the employees boss before he finally figured out how to rent me the truck I had already reserved (my reservation got cancelled as one of the three attempts at getting the truck checked out to me). Additionally the back tires on the truck were all but completely bald leaving me stuck multiple times on my driveway that is not paved. Luckily I was able to use my truck and a tow strap to get unstuck but it would have been nice to not need to. Overall this was the worst uhaul rental experience I've ever had. I will stick to the Olathe location from now on if I'm renting anywhere near Gardner again.

Ronnie Hnot a U-Haul site, not much room, shared with Valero gas station. People were decent but not happy to see me. I have used UHaul many times, I am a good judge of what experience should be. Not top site I can tell you.

Charles GIt was strange taking it to a gas station and there are no directions as to where to drop the key. The app says in the drop box but there wasn't one that I found so I took it to the man inside.

Hesther MDoesn't answer the phone. Leaves dolly and furniture pads in truck and then charges you for it when you didn't ask for it or need it.
