I did the U-Haul app for 24/7 access, this did not work. It allowed me to book the reservation but when i arrived i still had to go into the office to perform the transaction. On drop off the app again did not work because it couldn't read the odometer reading on the vehicle i rented. Gellars itself was perfectly fine, nice people.joel G.

I was on the phone with representatives and no matter what we tried the app kept saying i was in wrong location. This took an hour for me to be able to get the key and similar issues at drop off, completely ridiculous. wouldn't rent from u-haul againandrew K.
I expected the cargo van to be slightly dirty but it was a little more than slightly dirty. I had to ask to have the low tire gauge checked. It was clear the van was not inspected ahead of timeCeleste K.

I booked this truck on October 27 to be picked up in Orleans Ma. The day before my move you changed the pickup location to Plymouth Ma, which was 68 miles out of my way. Due to the short time constraints I was forced to pick it up in Plymouth. This added undue stress and inconvenience, which didn't need to happen.Scott H.

The problem is with your on-line reservation service. I previously had a reservation at Protech in Cedarville and when I arrived, the equipment had not been returned but no one called me before. You wasted my time. When I arrived at Gellar's, your on-line system told me they had a vehicle that was already under agreement. Fortunately, they were able to get me another vehicle and clean up your on-line mistake.Richard D.

I first booked the truck at a location a half mile from my house which was so convenient. But night before got a call saying I had to go to another location 8 miles away. Since I ordered the truck at Woodside on 9/29/20, I asked if it were possible to have the truck brought from Jamaica to Woodside. They said that could not be done, even though the truck was to be used to empty two storage units at that same location. How can someone who does not know the Queens, NY area drive a 20 ft.truck and get around not using Parkways without getting lost on side streets? Shouldn't these issues be taken into consideration as a courtesy, and for the safety and convenience of the client?PETER C.

I used the self pick-up with my smart phone and found the process easy to follow and the pick-up and drop-off tutorials helpful. However, prior to the pick-up and rental process I had updated my profile with my credit card info and pictures of my license but still had to re-enter both the card info and pictures again at the site a second time. I was just wondering if that was my error or why the system did not pick-up the profile work I had done prior to the rental process. Overall the phone app was very well thought out. I also called your customer service and both the agents were very helpful when I needed a hand truck appliance dolly and to extend my rental return time.Gerald H.

My Original reservation was from the Kingston MA location closer to my home. when I stopped by the day before to check out the equipment I realized that the trailer 16 x 12 was not there. I called and they told me it was not going to be available and deferred me to the one 800 U-Haul number. I was able to find the trailer at a different location in Plymouth on my own. I do understand there is a policy with regards to reservations but what I don't understand is why is there not even a warning or phone call closer to the date to let somebody know that the equipment is not available I do understand there is a policy with regards to reservations but what I don't understand is why is there is not even a warning / phone call closer to the date to let somebody know that the equipment is not available. After talking to the Kingston location I came to the realization that it was never going to be available even when I made the reservation. I got to the location 15 mins early and the website told me I was at the wrong spot 5 times before I backed up 3 feet and then it worked. I followed the instructions, the truck was not easy to get to and there was mud all over the floor and someone's empty beverage left under the driver's seat. The website told me my key would be in compartment 1 and gave me the code. It opened, I then tried to use the key to start the truck and realized they gave me the wrong key. I called the service desk who then transfered me to another department. I waited probably 10 mins on hold before I decided to go back and check the lock box again. I noticed the 2nd compartment had the same code entered into it so I tried that one. It opened and it had the right key. At this point, I had been there for a half hour and 15 mins had been taken up out of my rental time. To top it all off, I had to drive over the curb to get the truck out of the lot because of where it was parked. I will never be using that location ever again.Jessica T.
