I would never recommend U Haul to a friend and I will never use it again. I was scheduled to pick up the U Haul truck after hours and when I arrived the truck had a flat tire. There was no one on site to fix the tire or provide me with a new vehicle. I waited over 5 hours for the tire to be changed through roadside assistance. Even then, the job was not done properly and the same tire started losing air the next day. Again, I had to wait over 3 hours for the tire to be fixed. My move was substantially delayed and this experience caused me a lot of stress. All of this could have been avoided if U Haul had checked the vehicle before leaving it to me for pick up. I filed a complaint and 4 days later I have yet to hear back from customer service about compensation for this poor experience. Horrible service.Kelly Ann O.

The owner of the place that young lady charged us for the cleaning of the truck and as a matter of fact we got the truck dirty and we had to bloom it and vacuum it I have pictures to prove it and yet she charged me $100 to clean it I am extremely insulted something needs to be done about that !Daniel D.

Je n'ai pas aimÃ© le service client. On m'a remis le camion sans m'expliquer certains dÃ©tails pour lesquels on m'a retirÃ© de l'argent dans mon aval. Je devais rendre la voiture jeudi Ã 11h. Je l'ai rapportÃ© mercredi 16h30 ils Ã©taient fermÃ©s. Je l'ai laissÃ© lÃ pour revenir terminer le retour le lendemain et je viens trouver que je me suis fait prÃ©lever 80$. Alors que j'ai dÃ©jÃ dÃ©pensÃ© plus 700$ pour la location. C'est trÃ¨s dÃ©cevant. C'est la deuxiÃ¨me fois que j'ai une mÃ©saventure avec Uhaul et trÃ¨s certainement la derniÃ¨re fois. Receptionist was very rude. Wiper blade was broken and when I showed her sher accused me of breaking it. Parking lot is far from main office and lot and trucks are not maintained, took 45 min to get truck out of ice. Almost slipped on ice trying to get in truck and she basically said "oh well, we have a camera on the area". I had to walk back and forth from the lot and office to notify receptionist of issues and her responce to them was basically " that's not my problem". When I told her she was being rude she threatened to cancel my order and call the cops on me. Given the recent Black lives Matter movement its really poor judgment to be threatening black people with the cops. This experience has really made me not like the Uhaul company and I will probably not use Uhaul for my next moving needs.Renee J.

It is a shame that Uhaul uses four season tires in locations where the winter climate makes those types of tires unsafe for driving. The check-in unexepectly required validation and call of a contact person. The location requires to make 200 meters back and forth walks to find the vehicle, pick up the keys, then go back to the vehicle. The cabin of the cargo van was not thoroughly cleaned as I found someone's lunch after leaving from the parking lot. The check-in and online key pick-up process was very cumbersome. The pickup was completely full of snow and no shovel was provided, There was ice, snow and dirt all over the rest of the vehicle and no brush was provided. We were required to conduct our own damage report, taking photos and providing descriptions. Not only was this time consuming and could have been done faster by a representative, but with all the dirt and ice on the vehicle it was impossible to accurately assess the damage. All of this took time out of our rental period - almost 45 minutes. The inside of the cab was disgusting - food mess left inside the seat compartment, splashes of brown liquid on the ceiling and very dirty seats. When we started the truck, we noticed the tire pressure was below the minimum required and the washer fluid was completely empty. Evidently, I am extremely unimpressed.FLETCHER B.
This is my 5th time rental from U-Haul and each time are different and each time the results are very poor. Like any other times, I called in, speak to customer service and book the truck. Like anytime I asked for the same booking as before and same location. This time the lady said the truck isn't available there, but it will be available in another location. I said ok book me the same. However when I got the bill as I pick up the truck. It was higher than normal. I ask the lady and she said the other place able to give the extra mileage but she couldn't, the only way to get it is pay for it. I was already later so I had to. Not happy at All.NHUT ken T.

The location is ok. It is hard to find a van rather than a truck. I had a small item to bring home (big enoughnot fit my car, An SUV or pickup truck would have been sufficient, instead my only option was a 10' truck which is way bigger, harder to manoeuvre and more riskier. Additionally, I would love to see UHaul change the gas thirsty trucks to something more efficient for the environment. I was charged a $1+ tax for the environment, was never informed about it. At the location, they do not discuss your rental contract, they only say you're getting it by e-mail (I am sure you need to disclose elements in the contract to the consumer). A major drawback compared to Home Depot truck rental there is no reverse camera and there is no sound alerting people of a large vehicle reversing. This is my observation and my feedback, I hope this helps you improve in the future as currently price to value is not great. I paid a total of more than $50 with gas for almost 15 miles usage, I could have had my item delivered to the comfort of my place for $35. So a solution for small items would be appreciated.ADAM B.
The only problem was with the drop off when the application doesn't work properly. Waited an hour at that location because when entering the kilometers the system was saying the number entered was lower than the original start. The help line was very busy before I got a call back.Daniel D.

En fait, le stationnement est tellement loin derriÃ¨re, que la vraie adresse devrait Ãªtre sur la rue Nicolet (le stationnement est en face du 20 rue Nicolet). Toutefois, le magasin du U-Haul est vraiment au 277 Boul.St-Josphe (mini-magasin qui est difficile Ã trouver parce que pas trÃ¨s bien indiquÃ©). Ensuite, considÃ©rant que j'avais louÃ© le camion pour 16h30, mais que je suis arrivÃ©e Ã 18h30, je n'avais plus l'option de procÃ©der Ã la location par moi-mÃªme sur mon tÃ©lÃ©phone. J'ai donc dÃ» tÃ©lÃ©phoner U-Haul et attendre 30 minutes en ligne pour parler avec une reprÃ©sentante. Elle m'a informÃ© que je n'avais plus l'option de faire la location moi-mÃªme parce que je suis arrivÃ©e trop de temps aprÃ¨s l'heure prÃ©vue. Ainsi, elle m'a remis l'option sur mon tÃ©lÃ©phone et j'ai pu faire le processus. Le processus en ligne pour louer le camion sans service Ã la clientÃ¨le est supposÃ© Ãªtre quelques minutes, mais il est tout de mÃªme long. Il a aussi Ã©tÃ© difficile de trouver les cadenas et les lockers oÃ¹ se trouvent les clefs (les deux lockers et la boÃ®te en mÃ©tal pour remettre les clefs sont Ã gauche de la porte du U-Haul sur le Boul. st-joseph).OphÃ©lie D.

Van cabin was very dirty when pick up. Parking brake was broken. Self serve pick up as co.plicated, keys were a block away from parking and lock on box was extremely dificult to open. App was marking full tank when was only 3/4, had to fill it up with $20. Called cuatomer sercice and they were very rude. Overall a rough exlerience. The keys were two streets over from where the truck was, the truck was missing the equipment we had rented, and the mobile pickup system took an hour to work and wasn't user friendly at all. Plus we were left on hold when we called the help line. All of this delayed and made the move more difficult (missing equipment, delayed pickup due to inefficient system).Gabriel R.

I ordered a 9' cargo van online , a dolly and covers , arrived there , no cargo van , called they mention they gave me a 10' instead . Opened up the cargo and nothing was in thre . No dolly and no covers . Needed to go buy a new dolly cause how the hell you want a 100 lb woman take it out of the cago .Amanda S.

The girl at customer service was horrible. Couldn't get through on the phones prior to pick up. She wasn't very friendly and didn't explain how the return works. I had to keep trying to call over 11x before she picked up for her to tell me how to proceed. The truck was dirty in the inside cabine but I only looked in the back when I did the little survey. I was also told there was blankets in the truck and there wasn't. So Now I will have to keep calling until someone picks up to let them know.Aryane B.

We had to pay extra for a larger truck because apparently they didn't have the truck we needed. Additionally, we have been charged another $20 because we didn't opened the e-mail on time (before departure) this was not explained specified correctly before we left. The website doesn't work properly when you are renting. The person at the comptoir did help us after 30 minutes waiting. A lot of people were waiting for help because nobody had the decency to explain that the website might not work. Poor service. Even when we drop the truck, extra charge when we gave more gas then the tank we received. Inacceptable. I will never take U-Haul again.MAXIME V.

Hello, I've used uhaul for years and I'm extremely happy with the company, however this location was very poor, it's self serve, you have to load the trailer yourself, the trailer was extremely dirty. I have pictures but this survey form doesn't have a attachment option. Another customer also refused to take a vehicle because it was so dirty. The uhaul worker didn't seem to care. I took the trailer as I was desperate and cleaned it out myself with a swiffer pad Overall a very poor location, will not use again Thanks DaneDane L.

I get the bill with an additional $20 'after hours service fee'. I picked up the trailer at 10:00 and returned it 2 1/2 hours later (the rental is for 24 hours) and I get this additional charge. I inquire and the local admin girl tells me that I returned it during her lunch hour! If I had returned it at midnight, I still could not accept the justification for an additional charge, especially since I had not exceeded my time...but to add at 36 % charge because it was over lunch? Totally unacceptable. By the way, she was there when I returned it, I told her exactly where in the yard I had placed it, and she said nothing about this preposterous extra. Never again.MANFREDR S.

When I booked the truck they told me that on the day of picking it up I could reserve the dolly and when I went I was surprised that there was not being that I could do it the same day that I made the reservation that they were available.
