We had an impossible time checking the trailer in. It turned out that somehow it was MISTAKINGLY listed as turned in (computer glitch?) on our account 3hrs prior to our arrival. Nobody was on site to straighten it out. I spent almost an hour on hold with UHaul and got transferred to three different people.DANIELRAY W.

First off, this UHaul truck share 24/7 was a disaster. I had the truck for 4 hours with a 10am pickup time and I showed up about 10 minutes early. Global Pack and ship was closed (despite the sign on the door that said they had Saturday hours), so I had to use my phone to get the code to unlock the device that would get the key. I had to re-enter my information several different times. I finally got the code for the key and was able to get into the van...but I couldn't go anywhere as the emergency brake was on. This was my fist time in a vehicle that didn't have the parking brake to the left of the regular brake. Needless to say, it was 11am before I figured out where it was. I HAD LOST AN HOUR! I got the van back around 2:30pm and happened to see someone coming out of the Global Pack and ship office and I proceeded to explain my frustration. I even put 3/4 a tank of gas in the van when it only had 1/2 tank when I got it. He apologized for everything and I told him I was putting the key in the drop off box. I did this right when he was getting ready to leave. Since I was able to talk to someone from Global Pack and Ship, I was able to check out in person and didn't submit anything over the phone.Billy B.
We did not get the furniture blankets we requested. The online system tried to charge us for fuel, even though we left more in it than it had when we got it. Truck had a filthy residue on the center console, dashboard, floor, and middle seat, plus trash (empty food container) on the dashboard and an ashtray full of cigarette ash. I had to clean the truck out before driving it. U-Haul's online system originally double-booked us with a truck from another location (Ashland Simply Storage), but that location was really good and found us this truck instead. I'm happy with Ashland Simply Storage, unhappy with the cleanliness of the truck (I guess that's Global Pack and Ship's issue? I'm not sure), and I'm very unhappy with U-Haul's online system.Sarah C.

1) When I returned my truck a day early, I called the UHaul hotline to turn it in and drop the keys off. They told me I would be getting a refund for the unused day. However, this refund did not come and when I called UHaul, they said they would not being giving me one. Uhaul needs to inform its phone answers about their actual policies, so that this kind of inconsistancy doesn't keep happening. 2) When I go the truck, I did a video tour of everything. My gas was a at approx 7/16 (just below the half). I refilled it to this same line, but I was charged extra for being 4 gallons under. I did another video tour around the vehicle for my return and the gas gauges are the same...Gregory F.

The booking system needs to be more clear about the mileage charge. We were not expecting the extra 60 $fee for miles. We definitely will not be doing this again and we have four college age children who always seem to be moving somewhere. NEVER UHAUL AGAIN because of this surprise charge.STEVENJOHN S.
