The location was great and very helpful but making the appointment for the renal was a nightmare! I spend an hour and a half on the phone with several people who were mostly helpful but when I had to speak to a scheduling manager I was on hold for a half an hour and had to hang up and call back again. That is unacceptable. Then I was transferred to managers who were in New Jersey and they couldn't help me and said that it happens to them a lot. Ultimately I was finally contacted by someone who said my rental was finally set up.

andrew hDid my order online and went to the place. Once I got there went to open the box and it was empty and waited 1 hour just to get the key from the owner even though the patrol said he was coming. Got the van at 7pm but didn't get the key until 8pm. Was charged for a late fee even though I got the key late.

James MNot the fault of Gloster & Sons, but the furniture pads that i requested were not in the truck. I had to drive to another uhaul location to get them which made me drive more miles than i needed to.
Michael FI made a reservation online for a 15' truck. 10 days in advance. The location did not have the truck. I was forced to pay for a larger truck. I had movers already at my home who charge by the hour. I was sent to a different location. I called ahead and asked to please have the paperwork ready. I have movers on their way. I got to the UHAUL location - paperwork not ready. I lost 30 minutes which cost me $100. Movers charge $200/hr. Then they also did not have moving supplies that I ordered in advance. the truck had a cracked side mirror which made it hard to see. I finally got the truck loaded and then when I turned the key the truck didn't start. The battery was dead. It was a nightmare. I was told to call roadside service. That took too long. I pay movers by the hour. The UHAUL could have brought me a new truck by then. Instead I asked the movers to circle back and give me a jump. The battery life was very low. I wish that I could get a refund for all or part of this rental. It was a nightmare.
Kisha OOwner was very rude and racially profiled me. After vehicle was dropped off and cleaned, owner proceeded to call previously employees on my uhaul history to threaten and harass us.when uhaul was contacted I was told that they don't work for uhaul there just 3rd party sellers. Noone will take responsibility for treatment or privacy that was violated.

Joseph Duhaul service is the worst. I had a reservation for a truck and trailer to be picked up at the same location on 211 middletown.I expected to drive to 211 get the truck and trailer load my car drive home and load the truck. 20 hrs before pick up time I'm notified the truck is 5 miles away from 211 and the trailer is 20 miles away in New Windser. I had to take a taxi $40. to get the truck than drive 35 minutes to get the trailer than go home to load the car. When I get to New Windser I see two 20' trucks in the yard. I was told on the phone there were no other 20' trucks in the area. uhaul shafted me and I will spread the word. Use another company if possible.

Robert EI rented a 10' box truck for local transport. The truck was clean and new (a 2017 model in 2018) with less than 6000 miles on it - so no worries about breaking down somewhere in a beat-up old truck full off stuff. The rental process was smooth and quick, service was friendly and helpful, dropoff was a breeze. Fortement recommandé!

William HWhat I didn't like about the truck was that the lower mirror was broken, so it did make it harder for me to see. As a novice, every help I can get, counts. I loved my rental and found it smart to rent it for longer than a normal move. It allowed me to pace myself since I was moving by myself. The truck was clean and well maintained. When I got a flat, it was fixed. The truck drove well and that made me feel safe. The guy was nice when renting it and answered my questions.
deshawn ballow the individual facilities to change the form of payment when the vehicle is returned. This location said it would take "15 - 20 " minutes to do so . This fact they attributed to U-Hauls payment system ? I wanted to change CC , I was told this. Then , I said cash , same story ? . .
martinez jThey need a credit card machine with a chip reader. I waited a half hour for him to run my card through. I felt so bad for the guy at the front desk. Ridiculous!!
Jennifer FMy experience renting this U-Haul truck was terrible. I had to go back and forth between 2 locations 2 times just to get what I had reserved and purchased online. The confirmation email I received did not mention that I was to pick the truck up at this location; it told me (as I had requested) to pick it up at the U-Haul on 211 in Middletown. When I returned my confirmation call the day before, I was not informed of the other location, but I was told that the 15' truck I reserved was upgraded to a 17' truck. I told the man that I didn't reserve a 15' foot truck that I reserved a 10' truck, and I was concerned about the gas mileage with the larger truck because I had a long trip to take. He said I would have to take the 17' truck. On the day of pickup, I went to that location given in my confirmation email. The lady there said she could not find my reservation by my name. I then gave her my reservation number. She found the reservation and said it was at another location. I then asked if I should get the boxes and tape I purchased here or if they will have them for me there. She said that if the reservations are for there, they must have the boxes for me there as well. I then went to the other location. This was a regular garage-type place (not as nice as the 211 location). As the man worked on the contract, I asked him if instead of being upgraded to a larger truck which I didn't need or want, and in fact I was concerned about using, I could be upgraded to have more miles included in the rental because I would be going many miles over the 93 given miles. He said that because I was already upgraded to the larger truck he couldn't give me additional miles, but that I can ask the person at the return U-Haul if he can excuse some of the miles that they often do that. I then asked for the boxes and tape I had paid for, he said that they did not have them there, and I would have to go back to the other location to get them. When I drove back to the other location, I was given the boxes and tape, but the employee couldn't find the information that I had already paid for the boxes and tape. The whole experience was very frustrating.
Ann CWe had arranged to pick up the truck at 8:30, but they were not able to locate the truck immediately. We were delayed 45 minutes between the check in and locating the truck. The staff we dealt with were extremely nice, but we were disappointed after driving 3 hours to the pick up point to arrive at 8:30.

ASHLEY SVery DISAPPOINTED, Truck broke down 2 hours away Gloster & sons wanted nothing to do with our company except Bill our credit card as soon as we returned the truck, One of the most un-professional experiences with a well established company I have ever had, the local service representative offered a measly 50 % discount 165 after we incurred 500 in expenses, U-Haul needs to be reported to the Attorney Generals office and the Better Business Bureau for an investigation for there Exceedingly POOR business practices, None the less Gloster's rental agency
DARRELL DI was told by the location that I was to return in back to them U-Haul sent me a notification to drop off the equipment at another location. When I called back the pickup location they daid they spoke to U-Haul and confirmed that I should return it to the location. When I called back U-Haul they stated that they never spoke to them! Very frustrating and overall poor customer service
