This location closes at 5 and closed on weekends. We were scheduled to pick up at 430. A traffic accident caused a delay. We immediately called and told them we would not get there until 450. They were quick to tell us that they close at 5. We called again to give them an update time of 455. Once again, it was the same thing, "we close at 5.". Once we got there I realized it wasn't a U-Haul facility but rather a car repair that did rentals. I totally understand they want to leave when they close. Just felt the response wasn't warm at all.So, if you plan to rent from this location, come on time.DAVID K.

I returned the trailer at 4:30PM on Sunday (10/18/2020) as indicated on the contract for a 3-day rental. I was originally scheduled to pick up the trailer at 4:30PM on Thursday (10/15/2020) but Mr. Gonzalez encouraged me to pick it up earlier, which I did. He told me that I can return it at 4:30PM on Sunday since they are closed and I'd need to just drop it off without incurring additional day of charge. Everything went fine and I picked up and dropped off without a problem, as we agreed. Imagine my surprise when I was charged an extra day. The next time, I'll wait until the appointed time to check out regardless of how early they want me to pickup.Gun-Sam K.

Please be sure he gets this message, he was so helpful and made sure I was traveling with my 2 children safely. He took his time to make sure everything was secure. I reserved in a local city then the day before I was told of you want it, drive 140 miles round trip for it. Then when delivering, I tried to drop it off at the center 1,5 miles away, but wa stole I was assigned a center 35 miles (1 hour) away. Really?MATTHEW P.

Self check in needed a lot more from me while I was there which should have been asked for in advance, making it all pretty inconvenient. Gas was much lower than what they thought it was supposed to be so good thing I went back in to question it. The system still wanted to charge me extra but fortunately the person was kind enough to figure out how to deal with that since he verified the gas before I left. I was still charged extra for more miles than I used. Pretty bad experience.Jon H.

We had a minimal amount of mileage that we had and that was why we chose the original locations. Then they were changed after we had the rental. And the drop off location gave us the wrong address. The location had moved and we had to use more mileage to get to the drop off location. Noone was there and we had a tough time using the site.Donald C.

The gentleman that helped us was very nice and friendly. He was out picking up another rental when we first arrived, so we had to come back. But they cleaned the front of the vehicle before we departed. However, this was not our primary pick-up location, this was the 2nd place Uhaul switched us to. Our primary location was closed or unavailable although it is still listed on the website. Our 2nd pickup location did not get the truck we requested returned to them and therefore it was unavailable. We requested a 10am pickup and ended up getting our vehicle closer to 4pm, which altered our travel plans significantly. We also had to get a larger vehicle, because the 20' was not available in the area. Very disappointed with the service, but not from Mr Gonzalez - he was great.Abigail P.
My past experiences my truck always came with a dolly. It's usually located under the truck. I had to go rent one. Other then that, it was a great experience.raylee K.

Went to location on Airport Blvd. In Freedom CA to pick up. Lady working there was horrible. She did not care to explain the process to me and became angry when I had some questions. Service is the worst! Went to this location in Castroville instead.Brock Steven M.

no fault of this carrier. i got jacked around. being sent to another town to pick up my needed rental. then i went a day early and ended up paying 78 $. more than i had planed . my original invoice had me picking up the trailer. returning it within 24 hours. for around 55 $i ended up leaving the trailer at the destination and paying around 177 $. darrelldarrell H.

The service provided by the employees at this location were excellent. Everyone I spoke to or worked with was pleasant and professional. However, I have a big problem with the way my U-haul reservation was handled at the corporate level. I made two reservations for different sized trailers many months in advance. I wanted to have my bases covered for either size based on my needs. Unfortunately when it came time to pick up my trailer, the 5x10 I had reserved was not available, so I was told I would be given a 6x12, which was bigger than I wanted to tow, but I could not use a 5x8 because it was too small. This forced me to rent the bigger, heavier 6x12 that severely affected my gas mileage during the rental. To make matters worse, I was told my reservation was switched to Castroville, California, more than twenty miles from the site of my original reservation location. This meant I had to spend nearly an hour on the road each way to pick up and drop off the trailer in traffic. This accounted for nearly four additional hours of my time when I was already pressed for time and having difficulty accomplishing everything I needed to accomplish on the days I was scheduled to pick up and drop off the trailer. The added distance accounted for nearly two extra hours in traffic when I picked up the trailer, and nearly two hours when I had to drop it off. This is completely unacceptable from a customer service perspective. Overall I'm very unhappy with the service provided by U-haul Corporation. I reiterate that the staff at the location were very nice and professional, but the logistics planning and reservation service were terrible. I am extremely aggravated by the inconvenient and poorly executed service provided by U-haul Corporation. As a national company I would expect your service, planning, and execution would be much better and you would put the needs and convenience of your customers ahead of your company. Clearly this is not the case. It's obvious that you put your interests as a company ahead of those of your customers. U-haul incorporated should have made sure there was a rental trailer conveniently located near the location of my original reservation rather than forcing me to drive nearly an hour in traffic during an already stressful day to pick up the trailer. I am highly disappointed by my rental experience and unless there are reparations made I will avoid using U-haul for any services in the future and will also tell all my friends about this terrible experience.
