No one was there. The hours of operation stated "open" but there was no sign of any one. I unloaded my car off the trailer in the pouring rain, by myself. I wouldn't recommend that Gordon County storage facility was allowed to represent UHaul anymore! The place looked like a junkyard! I left a note to be called because I left something in the truck, but never heard anything from anyone! I was afraid for my safety, the entire time I was there. Awful experience!!!!!
Shannon JacksonI received a receipt when I rented the vehicle for $213. I received a reciept 4 days later and have been charged $465. That is absolutely ridiculous and I will have my attorney looking into it.

Gary WilsonI can not understand how a company as large as u-haul will allow this place to be a part of the u-haul co. I arrived at the location to drop off my rental. I was surprised to find the location closed , I called the number listed for their business 6 times in a 3 hour period leaving message each time to call me back no response same goes for their storage company. Finally I called the area manager 4 times before getting a call back from him telling me to drop the key in a key drop box. I also tried the u-haul on line service each time telling me location not found. After 3 hours of trying to drop the rental finally getting the ok for the area manager I was on my way. If you are renting a u-haul and you are instructed to return the rental to a location in Calhoun Georgia at 221 Highway 225 ask for another location.

Ron HowardThe lady that rented me the truck on the phone was very pleasant , helpful and apologetic about not having the equipment I reserved. The 2 Appliance Dollies I reserved were not there, which created a big problem. I had to go to 3 other locations to find them ending up at a Citgo Gas Station near the Outlet Mall in Calhoun. Then they couldn't get the paperwork done on their "I phone" (go figure!) I did finally leave $40 in cash since they couldn't get an answer from the Regional Manager on how to price them. Of course, I then had to drive back there 2 hours from my new home to return the dollies since they had to make them one way! Guess what! When I drove two hours back to Calhoun to return them they still hadn't gotten pricing info from 2 days ago and couldn't figure out what to do since again, they could not get a response from the Regional Manager! I left a copy of my Driver's license, email and phone # when I first rented them, but never received any emails as promised! Perhaps the Regional Manager could spend a bit more time training his staff rather than avoiding phone calls! All in all, I spent at least 4-5 extra hours, rented an extra Utility Dolly since they didn't have what I reserved and a tank of gas just to do what should have been a slam dunk, one-way trip! Don't look to me for a reference unless you want one for Penske or someone else!!

john WhiteThey weren't there for me to pick it up. Finally the guy cutting the grass called a lady and she came but was over 40 minutes late after we had arrived 20 minutes early. I called the number provided at least 10 times and I left messages and never received a call back. I was really disappointed they weren't there on time and held me back from reaching my destination sooner. Poorly ran facility.

RONALD KINSLOWHad to drive over 20 miles to pickup the truck. There were at least 3 uhaul distributors within 3 miles of my house. The next day I was off to my new house and when I went outside I had 2 flat tires. Called and got service to show up and fix the flats. I was on the road 2 1/2 hours later.

Joshua ShealyI brought the truck to this location after hours. It was very dark. I attempted to put the address in Waze, me to a wrong location. Then used another gps system to find it. The street was so dark and the sign was so small it was difficult to find. Normally it it would be easy to fine with other U-Haul trucks. But there was none at this site to see. I will say the lady was nice when I called the day before to confirm they had a dropbox. The location was just very difficult to find in the dark.
DEBORAH STONETried to call this location several time and left messages with no response. The location Gordon County Storage is not recognized by mapquest or GPS. No one at location when I arrived had to call a phone number posted to the office door. Spoke with a women who had a crying baby in the background. I was supposed to have 2 dozen pads but this location had none. Had to go to another location to get pads. Absolutely unacceptable. If I have the option I will never use U-Haul again.

I have submitted a request for refund of additional day charge but have not received a response or acknowledgement that my request was received. I was charged an extra day when the truck checked in 40 mins late, even though all of that time was spent trying to do online check in. There were no employees at the return location for counter assistance. Please contact me about my refund request for that 40 mins. Merci.

Sharon BlankenshipHad an appointment at 1 but the business stepped out to lunch. Called customer service, had to wait for a rep, rep was nice, put me on hold to contact the business, rep came back and said the business was out to lunch and would be back in 5 minutes. All in all I had to wait about 30 - 45 minutes. Business was once they arrived. There was nothing at the business to tell me when they would return. This was not a good experience. Once they arrived it was fine.
James ReddochA/C on truck shuts off all the vents when you press the gas to accelerate. 20 hours with intermittent A/C was not pleasant. More of a equipment review than location review. Location was helpful.

Joe CainThe location was moved to a completely different city than requested with the reservation. It did not appear additional mileage was added to compensate the inconvenience. The location was not manned and I was unable to access the key via the "lock". Though the code was entered, the lock was not functioning properly. The website kept prompting me to "request assistance" with no one available. There was an incredibly slick area of pavement that I almost fell on as well. I tried the "combination" in multiple areas of the word attempting to seat the lock tumbler. My daughter's boyfriend was finally able to unlock the combination for us to access the key. It took us almost 30 minutes to pick up this truck. I WILL not rent a uhaul again....ever.
