I NEVER leave reviews, but this circumstances of yesterday have led me to break this rule. I went in to this dealership, which is a convenience store, where it was very clearly noted on a sign at the Uhaul counter that the dealership hours were Tuesday through Saturday, and closed Monday and Tuesday. Though the dealership was closed, the woman, Heather, who was behind the counter was already helping at least two, possibly three, people with their Uhaul returns. The first of those customers was a very bad tempered man, who was returning some sort of auto trailer. The customer was being obnoxious, but the woman was doing a phenomenal job of remaining pleasant. It very shortly became quite clear to everyone in the store that the man returning the trailer was dropping it off in the wrong city. He quite clearly stated that he had rented to trailer to the closest city because the cost was much less than it would have been to bring it to this small town. It was also very clear that the man knew that he would be charged the extra fee for bringing it to the wrong location, and chose to do that, and then hoped that he could bully and cajole his way into not having to pay anything. When his decision to bully was met with a polite but firm answer that he did not like, he chose to threaten a bad review and to stop the charge on his credit card. The woman offered multiple times to hold off on charging him so that he could return the trailer where he agreed to, but the man was just abusive and nasty, and vehemently opposed to listening to any of the options the woman gave him for an alternative to being charged for returning to the wrong place. Had I been the one behind the counter I might have called the sheriff to have the man removed. The next person, a woman, had much the same attitude. Turns out that woman had tried to save herself $100 on a smaller truck than what she needed only to have to make two trips to Denver because the truck wasn’t big enough, and she also tried to bully the clerk into giving her a deal by insinuating that she would give a good review if she didn’t have to pay for extra miles, and a bad review if she did. She also became quite abusive when told politely but firmly that the clerk could not override that without permission from corporate Uhaul. The third person was just as rude and nasty because they were unhappy to have had to wait on the other two customers to be able to return their trailer. This clerk was already going above and beyond to be helping any of these people when the Uhaul store was supposed to be closed. The clerk, Heather, also took the time out to help me with a few Uhaul questions, and then ultimately to make herself available late in the evening to hook me up and check me out after 8 pm because the vehicle I needed to use for the trailer is only available to me after my wife returns from working out of town. When I called to make the reservation I told them I had a 10x20 storage unit that I was moving and asked for a recommendation they rented me a truck that is too small hence why I went over in mileage . Both places let me down.

I'll never rent from UHaul again. Megan, the UHaul agent in Granby, Colorado had insulted me several times. She is the rudest person I've ever met, and her extremely bad service is the worst customer service I've ever had in my entire life, and I'm 56 years old. I was a multi time renter of UHaul, but not anymore. I'll drive 300 miles out if my way to rent from either Penske, Rider or Budget.

The woman who helped us was extremely pleasant and overly helpful. The contract said Grandby as the drop off but uhaul texted me to drop off in Boulder which is way out of the way. The woman made several phone calls to make certain we would not be charged extra for dropping off in Grandby, which was awesome! Such a nice person! She deserves a raise!

Heather and team were fantastic after a huge misunderstanding with corporate U-Haul. She completely saved our moved and did it with the kindness we so needed in a stressful time. Ultimately we had to drive about 200 extra miles to get a truck but I would gladly do that again to work with Heather.

This location was amazing however my experience with corporate was horrible. I reserved a truck a month in advance for my cross-country move. I was called 2 days before and informed the size truck I had reserved would not be available. I was offered to have a smaller truck guaranteed to be held for me at my reserved location or the option of driving 80 miles (through the mountains and snow) to get the size I originally wanted. I opted to down size since I already had movers scheduled. I recieved a call the next day from the store 80 miles away saying they had my truck ready in the smaller size. Obviously in disbelief I tried to call U-Haul to figure out what was going on. They informed me that there was no longer any trucks available in my town and I would have to drive 80 miles for the smaller truck (the size I wanted was also now not available at the store 80 miles away) after I was told they would hold the truck! I had to pick up the truck a day earlier and after hours to fit my schedule so U-Haul said they would give me an extra day and extra miles. After driving through no service zones to get to the store 80 miles away, I arrive to find U-Haul changed my reservation without talking to me for the following day! After I had even explained how I had movers scheduled and how I had to have the truck that day. This location was the only good part of my experience. The owner came to the location after hours to help me get the truck I was there for despite the fact the problem was created by corporate. When I asked her about the miles and day U-haul promised me she said they hadn't even put the day on there and only gave me 60 extra miles! The location was 80 miles away! Corporate also had tried to change my drop off location without telling me but luckily the lady at this location caught it and fixed it for me. My only compensation from corporate was $50 for not meeting my reservation which wasn't even enough to cover my gas. Not to mention the amount of time I lost in this whole process between having to drive 2 hours away to get a truck and the 3 hours of time spent on the phone trying to figure out how to even get a truck from a reservation I made a month in advance. There was no up front information given about how U-hauls "guarantee" works or that if they considered 80 miles away an acceptable alternative to my reserved location. Absolutely 0 service standards and against everything U-haul claims for example, "Right Equipment, Low-Cost, Guaranteed" and, "Moving Made Easier". On top of it all I would have never even known I was picking up the truck 80 miles away if I had not recieved the phone call. When checking online my reservation still appeared as the desired truck size and location. I have use U-Haul in the past and never had any issues however after such an appalling experience I will not be considering them again.

We had a second flat tire on our arrival. We were driving in the mountains and lucky the blow out did not cause us to plunge to our deaths. On our arrival at the drop off location, the manager told us that we were going to have to pay for the damage the blow out caused to the trailer. Not only did the inadequacy of the equipment we rented cause massive inconvenience and delays, but we could have been hurt as a result. AND we had purchased the insurance. She was rude and hateful

The entire contract was a mess. We were charged for things we didn’t order. We received extra blankets that we didn’t need or want. We were contacted for a second truck and when I stated we already picked up our truck I was questioned repeatedly asking if I was sure. I feel like I didn’t receive adequate reimbursement for the over charges and I will be contacting customer service this week to discuss the poor service that was received

The van had enough power. The door on this vehicle had trouble closing. The front steering was a little loose. The representative Sara told me that I would only be charged for one day if I dropped off the key in the drop box. I was charged for 2 days as well as 2 days for the dolly when I was told it would be 1. The van did well going over the pass.

It was disappointing that purchasing insurance at $14 was required when my insurance would have been valid. Apparently my indicating that I intended to take some wood products to the local trash transfer station made this incremental purchase mandatory. So, my half day, 12 mile rental at $19.95 ended up costing over $50 after insurance, mileage, taxes and incremental government “junk” charges. Other than this, the staff was accommodating and the rental process was efficient.
