Van was covered with snow and ice. There was no brush in the van to clear the snow and ice. Van did not have windshield fluid. Had to stop a couple of times on the way to clean the windshield.

As much as I like the location and customer service some of the charges such as credit card fees and gas charges I don't get it. Why I being charged 7 dollars for paying with my credit card and I have been charged for gas even though I filled the gas equivalent to usages.

Person renting me the van was very helpful... Must admit it's a bit confusing with regards to costs, etc... In 2019 it's unrealistic to think that you can rent a van for $19.95 a day as the signs say on the van... Maybe the head office should re-think the advertising and post what it really costs per day. I paid $60 and thought that was a good deal! Why lie with regards to the $19.95!! Just my 2 cents. Dave

THEY CHANGED MY RESERVATION TIME TWICE, THE LADY AT 1800GOUHAUL HUNG UP ON ME AFTER MY CALL BEING CONCERNED BECAUSE I HAD HIRED MOVERS AND RESERVED AN ELEVATOR. THE UHAUL WAS DIRTY WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS, JUST PAST KEYS AND REPEATEDLY TOLD ME WHAT TIME I NEED TO BE BACK. I RETURNED WITH NO ISSUES AND AN HOUR EARLY. IN THE END, EVERYTHING WAS SMOOTH HOWER 2 DAYS LEADING UP TO THE RENTAL WAS VERY FRUSTRATING AND STRESSFUL ALONG WITH THE FACT THAT IM MOVING. WILL NOT RENT FROM UHAUL AGAIN. THX

Our entire experience was dreadful, and represents perhaps the worst customer support experience I've ever had. We booked a vehicle online and were told we would receive a call from a rep by 6pm prior to our move to confirm time and pick-up- I know we signed up for text messaging but I called U-Haul customer support confirming we would receive an actual call as this was important to me and was assured I would. This never happened, instead, we were given a late evening text message the night before our move with a pick up time we did not want or agree to and a location which was also not agreed to. After being unable to contact the regional office or location, I had to call U-Haul customer support again. I was assured my pick up time had been changed to an earlier time. It was not changed. Only after another call was I informed the location wasn't open until 10am- this was too late for us and had U-Haul followed through to begin with on their end we would have had time to change the pick up location to a place with an earlier pick up time. I had to call the regional office again the next morning at 7am ( as it was not open the night before ) to ask them to find an alternative time and location but by that time it was too late to accommodate us. When we arrived at the location- NO ONE WAS THERE and arrived 15 minutes late- further delaying us. I called the regional office again, and was then offered a 30 dollar credit- I was promised again by U-Haul that I would only pay for the reduced amount- and assured to receive this receipt by email. Another failed promise- as upon drop off, the U-Haul rep claimed to not see this indicated on our account and charged us the full amount. Clearly, no one at U-Haul communicates effectively among each other or customers- and your process ( or lack therefore) ended up costing us much unneeded stress, and money , as well wasting our time, and affecting the time of our friends and family who were trying to help us. I am 8 months pregnant and had to go to the doctors due to increased stress and pain from this stress. I will never use U-Haul again, and will be sharing my experience publicly on all social media as well as writing to our local paper to warn others of the terrible customer service I received. You should treat people better- messing up like this causes a lot of stress and hardship, not just financially but emotionally - and in my case, my health was at risk because of it. Don't offer a service if you can't deliver it.

This was absolutely the most unprofessional experience I've had with a rental service. First of all the gentleman that ran the location was 10 minutes late. After he got there he proceeded to tell us he needs more time to get ready. By this time there was a line up. I had submitted all the necessary paperwork online ahead of time to speed up the process. When we ultimately got our truck it was now after 11. Was told led by your representative to return the talk over half full even though it was given to me below half full. After we drove away I found out that I hadn't even recieved the dolly I paid for. When I told him at the return he said I should have had one and proceeded to charge me for it in my bill and did nothing to adjust it. I had to rent a dolly from another mover who was on site at the same time as me just so we could get my furniture out. I didn't have a lot to move but I hired people to help. Because of the truck delay I had to pay extra for their hourly wait. Because i was over an hour late i lost my elevator reservation and had to wait even longer and had to pay extra to the movers again. What is the most infuriating was when we were having our initial difficulties getting our truck the gentleman kept mentioning that it's the computers fault. When we mention that it's partly due to the fact that he was late his comment was "I was only 10 minutes late, it wouldn't have made a difference". As a business owner, that is an incredibly appalling statement. With all the additional cost that was incurred due to the delays this move pretty much cost me double then what I intended. I usually never go into this much detail about any review but I felt like I should because other folks should not be subjected to this level of unprofessionalism.

The cargo van I rented was sitting in the parking lot ready to go. It was brand new (only 184 km). Check out was fast and easy, same goes for the return.
