It was easy, used my mobile. I got a call from someone at Happy Auto to let me know if I had any trouble - to give her a ring. I appreciated the call as I was nervous about completing it via mobile for the first time. I do note the truck was not particularly clean but as long as I was not being charged it didn't bother me.

We picked up the truck through my online account. The location itself is pretty sketchy. Obvious crack house across from the location with locals shouting at us as we returned to our vehicle. The truck itself felt very rattly and not the most safe. The driver has driven a number of commercial vehicles and this truck just didn't feel solid. Pick up and return was easy and straight forward.

The person working at this location was very helpful. We had a moving truck booked at the main uhaul location in victoria and when we went in the morning they said the system was down. 20+ people were waiting frustrated and the person in charge was not helpful at all. We eventually walked in to the Dunedin location and even though we didn't have a reservation for this location she helped us very quickly.

I originally reserved a 15' truck for Thursday February 28th. I received a phone call 24 hours before telling me they didn't have a truck at my preferred pickup location. I was told there was one on pender island but I would have had to take 3-4 ferry trips and 8 hours to get the truck back to my original pickup location. Then I was told they had a truck in mill bay but it was twice the size I needed. I was told sorry that's all they could do for me, so frustrated I was left no choice but to cancel. I then phoned back to see if I could reserve something for a couple days later on Sunday. I finally got to deal with Shane the area manager who was very helpful by the way and reserved a 15' truck for me. Only thing is I requested a pickup at the Topaz Avenue location in Victoria only to have the pickup location change from topaz to north park street to finally Dunedin street location! The computer system wasn't working properly with the debit machine and took 2 hours to complete! It caused me to miss my reserved ferry sailing and the truck was dirty on the interior with dirt and sunflower seeds on the floor and under the seats. Because of the delay I had to drive up to Kamloops to sign rental agreement for the first of march and drive back down to the coast to get the uhaul for Sunday. This cost me hundreds in gas, ferry, and lost time. I remember when I set up my uhaul account it started if uhaul wasn't able to honour the reservation they would give a 50$ credit. I heard nothing about this from any of the agents by the way. Waiting on a response before I start posting this in the reviews. Thanks, David Moulton

Couldn't have been a better experience. Fast, efficient, very friendly and professional. The young lady I dealt with is an absolute credit to the business! Very happy and will certainly recommend this location as the one to go to.

The staff were very nice but the van was filthy inside and the smell in the van was really bad to the point that even my cloths smelled like it once I was done. I was only in the van to drive to my location and back. I needed a small dolly to move boxes but was given an appliance dolly which weighed almost as much as me. The light was on in the van about the need for an upcoming oil change which made me a bit nervous. I would be hesitant to recommend it because of these reasons.

I mistook the U-Haul location on Queens St for the location on Dunedin (a few blocks away). The staff member at Queens said I had to take the vehicle to a U-Haul location on Topaz Avenue, which was a nightmare. Literally dozens of people were standing in line or waiting outside for assistance by only a few staff members, who looked exhausted. I honestly will never, ever go to the Topaz location again. Thankfully, the Happy Roads site contacted me while I was waiting at the Topaz location for assistance and I was able to drive over to their location nearby. The Happy Roads location were exceptionally kind and patient. I would happily use them again if I ever needed to do this again.

We called the 800 number requesting a 10 foot truck but the reservation said a 15 foot. However, the gentleman at U Haul was excellent and was able to provide us with a 10 foot truck! Overall a great experience!

I will never rent again from Uhaul. I reserved a Cargo van to pick it up after this truck. However my reservation location changed for 20 km distance. No one told me before and I was in a very difficult situation and I missed a very important appointment. Hopefully there is another company across the Street. I rented from them and I will do it again with them for sure.

While the back of the cargo van was clean, the windshield likely had not been cleaned for a year?, the service from Jason was very good!, but the printer was broken (no contract so photo of contract on computer screen), the visa machine was broken so info only entered into the u-haul system on-line, AND really messy and not clean office area. No additional equipment available, like the dolly I needed. To repeat, the service from Jason was great! Also, at the Topaz location that I dropped into today at about 1pm to rent a pickup to help my 86 year old mother.....of course no pre-thought by me that this was last full weekend before end of month,,,,.....Cristopher and young lady (sorry I cannot remember her name) REALLY have a I great sense of customer service and are definite assets for that branch, and found me a last minute truck. Good news my mom has a power recliner to assist her hip/broken ribs etc. because the store delivery would not be until Wednesday. Thank you for helping me.

You incorrectly put the amount of gas that was originally in the tank and as soon as I got down the block the gas light came on - I went to drop it off and realized you marked it as over a QUARTER tank - I had to fill it up or pay the penalty, when I called your location to let you know what was happening you ignored my calls and never returned them. The vehicle was dirty and had a broken side mirror. Extremely poor service.
