We were disappointed in this arrangement because this pick up location is a Convenience Store and the person who was responsible for checking us in was also required to (first) provide service to MANY store customers, which delayed our registration and subsequent departure by about 20 minutes. We were also upset because this was not the pick up location that we were promised when we rented the truck. We did receive a voicemail the day before notifying us of the change in the pick up location, but we were assured that it was only an additional 5 miles away, when in reality, it added another 15 minutes to our travel time. The additional time may appear to be insignificant, but we had only a limited amount of time in which to complete this move, and we planned for this on our end, but the delays set us back.

Train the employees on renting a uhaul so that it doesn't take over 30 minutes and multiple calls to uhaul to figure out how to process a rental. Also make sure that the uhaul provided is aligned so that people are not driving with the steering wheel sideways.

Took care of EVERYTHING on line to expedite the pick up process but that failed big time. Took an hour to get the truck and when I did, I was responsible to take a foot of snow off of the truck which was not easy. The truck had food wrappers in it and a half a tank of gas.

Actually, I was supposed to pick up a 15' truck in Batavia, NY. (Your dispatcher confirmed with me over the phone that a truck was physically present and available at that location). When I got there I found out that not only was there no 15' at that location, there were no trucks at all. The guy at that location got someone on the phone that could not find me a 15' truck anywhere on the west side of Rochester. All he could find me was a 10' truck in Spencerport which I took but had to drive an additional 45 minutes to get.

1. Have the truck ready when promised. We reserved the truck for 7:00 in the morning, but it was not available until 1. 2. The cab of the truck we picked up was dirty. 3. I was not given a paper copy of the receipt so did not see that I was charged for two bundles of moving blankets that were not in the truck.

This person who owns the one Uhaul truck is very unprofessional and charged me twice as much! Ended up having to call Uhaul and get my money back. He overcharged me by $47!!!!!!!!!!!! The whole experience was terrible! Would never recommend! In fact he should not be allowed to rent out uhauls! His wife was the one running the gas station … she was video chatting him on how to cash me out over video chat… he was sitting in a bedroom while on video chat! Very unprofessional! And he kept telling me to send him my card info over the phone. We finally did after he called and texted us many times… He completely took advantage by overcharging. We only rented he truck for an hour and only went 11 miles! Returned the truck ?? in a half hour! He charged me for an extra day and insurance when I clearly put in my reservation that I did not want insurance… When I called Uhual to ask about my bill the lady even said what he charged me for made no sense! He completely took advantage ! Should not be allowed to rent out Uhaul!

It was very clear to me that the gentleman who owned the small store that we picked up from was a community guy - he knew a lot about everyone’s life that walked in the door, and really seemed to care a lot. You guys have a real gem on your hands.

Woman behind the counter was arguing with her covworker when we walked in. Complained to me about him when we went out to get the truck. This was not the original location Uhaul had me registered to pick up truck. Called the day before to change location. This location was further away from where I was located so I had to drive further and take up more time.

No agent on-site for equipment pick up. Had to complete check-in over the phone. While everything worked out fine, it added stress to an already stressful move.
