This is a gas station, that is their first priority. If your expectations in picking up a U-Haul are to wait over and over again while people buy lottery tickets only to find out that the person who should be doing the rental has no idea how to use U-Haul's system just so you can pick up an extremely dirty poorly maintained truck. Then this location is for you.

Customer service was horrible at pick up, the person at the front made us feel as if we were going to steal the truck. He also ask me for my card info and when I told him I have already put it in the system, he insisted and said I was arguing with him because I ask why he was putting a hold on my card. (My first time renting for in-town moving). I know I should have remembered I read about the hold but I was tired and he confused me. Long story short. Pay the extra miles if this is the closes place to you... just go a few miles farther. Person at pick up was polite and fast to check us out.

The van was fine, and the representative went out of her way to mention a dent that was in it and that it would not be recorded against me. Everything went exactly as it should have.

Couldn't finish doing what I needed to do. The transmission was really bad. It wouldn't shift gears and it would surge. I brought it back as for a refund was denied, then I told him it was unsafe to let anyone drive it. He drove it around the parking lot and said it seems fine. Very poor customer service he told me he didn't want to cancel the other reservation. People's safety should come before money

What an amazing check-in/registration process??!! It had been a while since I rented U-Haul truck. I loved the way that the text message initiation is done and the customer is able to do everything from their phone. Everything was super easy and the customer representatives during truck rental as well at storage facility were super friendly and helpful. Merci.

There should be a dedicated area for U-Haul so that you do not have to wait in line with the regular store customers. The store is clean and well lighted, the staff is very friendly and I did feel like a valued customer.

The lady that checked me in was very rude. She could not be bothered to stop what she was doing and made me wait for 5 minutes while she stood there and completed whatever menial task was at hand. After having been in customer service for over 20 years, I'm well aware of how customers should be treated. She was completely put out by me being there, so I would recommend people go to other locations where the employees might have time for you. I had the reservation under my middle name, which is what I go by. It's on my ID. But she decided to grill me about why I didn't put my 'name', and decided to grow me about my identity instead. If she had to taking the time to properly check me in and review my driver's license, she would have seen that that is on there and that is my name. I'm not even properly checked out, but I do get a notice today that is worded very hatefully threatening with extra fees. Because she didn't do her due diligence, and has zero business being involved with customers.

System to review truck is terrible. Won't let customer download pictures of damage. Truck had engine light on and tire maintenance lights flashing. Plus someone had been smoking weed in that truck.

I checked in online, but I had to go through the same check in when I got there. The location had one employee working the mini market register and the uhaul counter at the same time, so all in all, it took me about 30 minutes to get the truck. Additionally, I rented equipment, dolly's and hand trucks. The attendant informed me when I was checking in that they didn't have any equipment. So, I had to make sure I wasn't charged and it took me twice a long to move, resulting in having to rent the truck for an extra day. Overall this location is poorly managed.

Truck was not swept out. Inside floor covered in red mud (dried). Inside & out truck reeked of weed! Someone had a party in it and did a lot of smoking!! Roll up door had been dented in quite heavily & didn't open without 2 people pulling REALLY hard. Husband hurt his shoulder doing this. No warning of any of this. We drove all the way home- couldn't open it- drove all the way back- paying for mileage. We should receive a hefty refund on this. We're frequent customers but Ill rent elsewhere next time.

This was awful. My confirmation and my reservation was for a totally different location. I literally had to go to four different locations to finally "find" my truck! Once found the truck was filthy! It had a disgusting rug thrown on the floor which would have been dangerous driving with it. There was some sort of white powdery stuff around the cup holders, I was tempted to have the police check to see if was an illegal substance. The warning lights were on due to low tire pressure and rolling the window down was a challenge as the handle was broken. Plus my cost went up as it was distance from where I needed to use it. Uhaul should be ashamed.

Truck was full of dirt, leaves, acorns and various metal pieces (nails, springs etc) in back. Cab had plastic spoons and trash in cubbies and dirt all in floor. Truck was completely empty in gas so bringing it back at same level is impossible since I don't want to be stranded. Wasn't allowed to park there while I rented the truck. After all of that I was double charged which the later returned but cause my bank to hit me with an overdraft fee of $36. I'm tightly budgeted but would have been just fine had that not occurred. I use uhaul for catering regularly. I usually use the west Athens location and have never had these issues.

Truck was dirty, not full of gas. We went thru torrential rain and wipers were shot. Had to put new ones on. Coming home, was getting dark and headlights were 15' in front of truck

The van had no air conditioning and had engine issues. We tried calling costumer service. After almost three hours of having us connect with other uhaul representatives they hung up. We lost almost 3 hours of moving trying to get a better uhaul. In sum, a terrible experience!

The check in was confusing, since I had to check in both online and in person. I had to provide an in person reference, which seemed odd. Also, the location did not know what equipment I was renting and did not include the appliance dolly I had requested to move appliances. The charges were also confusing, and were higher than was quoted, in addition to my card being swiped though I provided it online.

The employee that helped me was awful and would rather be selling cigarettes than helping me with my truck. She was rude and was absolutely awful. Mother truck was dirty and looked like it was not inspected. She did not have the utility dolly I ordered so she gave me an appliance dolly and told me I was lucky to get anything. Not a positive way to start a move.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the pickup location which I have rated all 5 stars, but it was very difficult to complete the 24/7 Truck Share while on-site and this set me back an hour. I could not complete the required tasks in heavy rainfall on my cellphone as required because cellphones do not operate in heavy rainfall. The screen presses could not be completed and I could not type due to the conditions. Furthermore, I had to complete multiple tasks for the Truck Share pickup that I should have been able to complete at home before going on-site, such as adding contacts. If this message makes it to corporate, please consider overhauling the process for Truck Share! Other than this one aspect the rental was great.

Need more help. The lady in front was having problems and they had problems with my truck. They didn't even have my truck anymore and sent me to another location. I was guaranteed my truck would be ready or it was $50.

Several issues with this rental: 1) I reserved a 17-foot truck, but several days before got a call saying that wasn't available within 10 miles and asking if a 15' would work. Although I wanted the longer one, getting notice of this 5 days before was good, and was this the only issue I would have been fine. (This is more of an issue with the website interface.) 2) On the day of rental, halfway through the checkout process the rep tells me there's no furniture blankets because they can't get into their storage area, so can I just do without or go find someplace else to get them? This was the only piece of additional equipment I asked for (and a fairly important one), and to be told at the last minute that there were none threw a wrench into thing. Had I gotten a call the day before I could have made arrangement and planned accordingly, but right then I suddenly had to make an unexpected half-hour detour to find the only other U-haul open to pick up a handful of blankets. I do appreciate that the rep at least called to make sure they were open, had blankets, and that I could return them with the truck (instead of separate), but in the moment having to suddenly rearrange my plans and rush to get things together in time was extremely stressful and unpleasant. The lesson I took from this is that I should just skip the location I used and use the one I got the blankets from instead, since they seem much better stocked. So though I will be using U-haul again, I will not be using this location.

I could not understand exactly what the cashier was saying at the rental place. I tried to keep my patience with the texting approvals to get and take back of the rental property. Everything was sent through texting and made it long and difficult. They were nice, I just couldn't get a good understanding and didn't like the contract agreement through texting.

Gas Station too busy, the lady working there was by herself and serving a stream of gas customers. We had to to out back ourselves and find the storage trailer and get everything ready. Also, this is in a sketchy part of town.

Get rid of the ants from the cab and the roaches from the trailer. Customer service was bad - there was only one person and she kept stopping to help the people in the store - the whole pick up took 45 minutes. There was a problem with the mobile app pick up so I had no choice but to go into the store to get the truck - she seemed inconvenienced.
