I had a hell of a time logging into my account. I couldn't remember my password and when I tried to get a reset code sent, it did not come. This meant I had to go through telephone assistance, which eventually sorted the problem and I was able to get my truck, but only after waiiting for 1/2 hour on the phone. btw, a couple of hours later, several reset codes came through. I don't if that is your system / server issue or mine, but I have not had a problem with similar resets being sent from other companies. The gentleman running the location was very courteous.Glen F.

There were soaked woolen blankets in the back box all frozen and moldy. The trucks do not have a metric system (height, distance traveled, and speed) which is impractical for the normal world.FrÃ©dÃ©ric B.

The UHAUL I initially booked was at a different location and 40 minutes after the initial renting time was still not at the location. The location was closed so we could not receive any information or updates about the rental - I understand that other people not returning the rental on time happens and I do not blame UHAUL for that. HOWEVER, we called the UHAUL help line to get assistance and were given the location of another UHAUL store (this one) where a truck would be reserved for us. Upon arriving and explaining the situation to the worker he said that he could not give out the truck because it was already reserved - he contacted the UHAUL help line twice to explain the situation to someone, but on both times after waiting 15+ minutes was not able to reach anyone and the worker at this store decided to take control of the situation UHAUL however did a HORRIFIC job - the employee at the store said dealing with UHAUL is a nightmare and I understand what he means, you really need to implement an "Agent" phone line so that places who rent the trucks can more quickly be on contact with someone from UHAUL In short, I incurred additional moving costs because of UHAULs lack of organization and communication. This location and its workers were truly great, and I cannot thank them enough - I will not rent UHAULs again until significant changes are made.David Z.

Before I discuss our issue, we would like to let you know that we do not blame the small franchise with whom we picked up the truck. Ultimately, we were very happy with their honest service and would not want any punitive measures taken against them. We believe the issue lies with your very quick "turn around" policy. We picked up our van a few minutes after the booking time. I am assuming it had been returned shortly before that. We were told there were a few problems. It was very dusty, and definitely not sanitized. There were paint chips and splotches in the cab and the back. We looked past the esthetics, but were concerned that the previous renters had apparently changed a tire late at night. They left a flashlight, bag of bolts, and loose screws in the back. They left the tire they had changed in the moving space with a jack and rods which kept moving around when we drove. The now absent spare tire "hook" underneath the vehicle was dangling. Concerned for our safety on the road, with a tire changed by strangers was stressful, but we had to keep our schedule. Thankfully, an apartment superintendent was able to check the tires and reassure us of our safety. I have pictures of the state the van was in when it was given to us. Despite all this, we had a smooth move and the pricing was fair. I do feel that good faith compensation is something that is required. I have highly recommended U haul to others, but would be hesitant to do so if this matter is not resolved fairly.Marie H.

There was a problem with the sliding door of the truck. The latch was very difficult to open and close and the door needed to be kept open manually. When the person inside of the Hasty Market told me about that, his recommendation was just to cancel the order if I didn't feel comfortable using the truck. This answer did not feel appropriate considering that I am booking this truck for a specific reason, which is to move. You are not just able to "cancel" a moving van when you are relocating. Luckily, the truck was still drivable and we did not run into any issues, but I do feel as though if the truck is not returned in optimal condition, there should be a way to replace it at the moment of arrival.Keegan Michael L.

I was supposed to use the app, but there was no way to use it. The keys were taken from representative. The website was somewhat messy - could not find any information about the "GO" (to follow through the app).Roger S.

The physical move went perfect, not a complaint in sight. When we dropped off the key the representative was not polite at all nor accommodating. He informed me that there was still a $4 balance. When I asked if the initial payment of over $50 was paid he said yes. So I tried 3 different cards and he said none of them worked. So I used his ATM and took out $20 to pay the $4 balance. I paid a service charge to withdraw the $20. I paid the balance and left. As I was leaving he stopped me and said the initial balance wasn't paid even though my online banking app showed the withdraw. He wouldn't let me leave without paying the balance, so I asked if he would reimburse $2,5 because I now have to go into his atm again. He said â€œabsolutely notâ€. If I knew the initial payment didn't go through I would have taken out enough to pay the full balance rather than having to pay 2 service charges. I am not happy at all with the customer service displayed today.Keith M.

Vehicle was covered in snow, and parked in such a way as to make snow clearing difficult. As the reservation had been confirmed in advance, the truck should have been cleared of snow.Nancy K.

When renting moving blankets it should be more clear that it's on a first-come-first-serve basis. I put 12 blankets in my reservation but when I arrived to pick everything up I was told there were only 6 left. I was only charged half price for them, but I ended up having to call around to friends and family the morning of my move to get more blankets.Michael K.

For me personally, the location was perfect! Just a 1 minute walk from where I was located. The process was straight forward and easy; and the staff were exceptional! The truck I rented was clean but the steering was off, and it sounded like the U joints needed to be changed. The tires were bald, not good for an Ottawa winter. as I had to back up a little incline and had to put salt under the tires to get up it, Service at the counter , was quick and efficient.heather M.
