I am not a technology geek, but I was told by the cashier that I have to do the booking over the phone by going to Uhaul.com, NO one at the counter knew how to help me when I was struggling with all the run arounds. One NICE girl tried to help me, but she couldn't finish the reservation either. After struggling for 45-50 minutes, I called 1800 number to complete the reservation. It took about 10 more minutes to complete the transaction. I will NEVER EVER VISIT this location for Uhaul needs. I will visit any other store where a person is helping me from start to finish.Gulshan R.

The district mgr had to step in and help me because the staff at this location couldn't even handle basic math and I was charged $40+ for gas that was already in the tank. She read the tank as 1/8 full and it was 3/8 full. I had to return it with 1/4 tank - which I did. She submitted the1/8 and ended up overdrawing my bank account. When I went in the store, she argued with me in front of customers - in spite of me having pictures of both receipts AND the dash board from the truck! I always take pics of rentals when I pick them up and turn them in because of issues like this. James was very helpful though and I really appreciate his help.Karen G.

The location was fine. The people at haymakers were very pleasant and professional. However, I reserved the truck I. Champaignâ€¦ 50 miles away. Uhaul should not have allowed a reservation they could not accommodate. The uhaul person that called me to say I had to drive 50 miles was EXTREMELY rude.Ellen S.

Clean the vehicle prior to renting it out. The vehicle we received was pretty gross inside and reeked of cigarette smoke. I'm allergic to cigarettes and found myself coughing on and off in the cab during the drive.Matt K.

Haymakers did not have U-Haul signage in obvious places to identify it was a drop off site. I had to call to determine the actual location even though I had driven past the location....it is a gas station and mini market. When I went inside the employee at the counter seemed unaware Haymakers was a drop off site for U-Haul, then told me I would have to see the manager to check in my trailer. The manager was grilling meat outside and told me she was too busy and wouldn't check in the trailer for an hour when she was done grilling. I asked her if I could get a receipt to verify drop off of the trailer and she said no, that I would receive an email when completed. I tried to do a self check in, but my wifi signal was not strong enough to upload photos. This took about 30 minutes so I asked the manager again if she would check it in and she said no, not till 1PM. I left and went home, but never received an email verifying the trailer had been checked in that day, Friday, 17 September. I called the Leavenworth, Kansas U-Haul where I rented the trailer about the matter on Saturday, 18 September complaining about Haymakers not checking in the trailer.....they must have called Haymakers because later that day I received an email transaction receipt showing it was checked in that day. I will NEVER use a U-Haul affiliate to check in equipment.....Haymakers didn't care about me, the trailer, or U-Haul, only about grilling their meet....their service is terrible.....U-Haul should drop them. The only person working there didn't know how to check the truck in. She called the manager and she was told to take the key. We were charged for an extra day even though we dropped it off early. The manager, Mary was extremely helpful when I called about the extra charge and returned my call shortly saying we would be refunded in 24 to 48 hours. We shall see.RICHARD B.
Dont use gas stations for turn in locations or rentals. The turn over is to high and people are not experienced to help. City Wide in Salina Kansas are GREAT except they did not have time to repair my tow dollyMICHAEL A.
This location was multipurpose and it seemed the U-Haul service was not their primary focus. I almost had to beg a person to check the trailer for any damage (there wasn't any). Knowing Decatur, IL, anything could have happened to the trailer once I left and I didn't want to be responsible.Rodney G.

I typically rent U-Haul equipment from Billingsley Auto Repair. They did not have any car haulers available, but they located this one for me. I was hauling a large car. Your site does not specify what capacity the trailer will carry. I understand that there is more than one size of trailer. I had to confirm that the one that I had reserved was the correct size at pick-up.Michael H.
