Equipment was not ready. Trailer's electrical didn't work, so staff had to figure that out & play with the wires for about 30 minutes to get it working. Back of trailer was stuck, so opening & closing it was a nightmare. Also paid for moving blankets that they were out of. Store couldn't figure out return.Angus L.

Absolutely not. I have been in communication with SEVERAL uhaul employees trying to resolve this issue and I am at my wicks end. I used a trailer on June 15th for about 10 hours. I have been charged a ridiculous amount of times since then for OTHER PEOPLES rentals and toll charges. I am livid. This location has YET to close my ticket even after all the phone calls and emails I have made. I need to be refunded every single dollar I have been charged. These payments have been processed without my authorization several times which is STEALING. I will be contacting the better business bureau to discuss my experience with this location as it has been absolutely miserable. I don't know how many places I can leave reviews to warn other people to save their time, money and sanity to avoid this location at all costs. This is absolutely ridiculous and the worst experience I have ever had with renting moving equipment, but really the worst experience I have ever had as a consumer. The lot with the trailer was a mud hole. The trailer was covered in mud and I had to pay to have it cleaned before use. The attendant in the lot could no speak enough English to communicate. The owners seemed very nice, but the place was not to par. Dirty is how I would describe the location. I though U Haul was priced well and super impressed with technology, but not going back to this location for lack of cleanliness.DAN M.
They were lovely! My only complaint is their address seems to come up on Apple Maps incorrectly, which was frustrating, but they helped us find it when we called and were really helpful once we arrived.Linda S.
1. Have the trailer lights cable extension repaired before the customer arrives. 2. If the extension needs to be repaired, don't hand the job off to two or three guys sitting around on their coffee break who don't really care when the job is finished. 3. Don't sell crappy 7 contact to 4 contact adapters that that the manager breaks trying to install. 4. Have working lights on all trailers prior to attaching them to the customer's vehicle. 5. Don't call the customer to ask if the equipment has been returned when the trailer has been sitting in the lot for two weeks.JOHN H.

I leased a cargo van with a dolly. The van was clean, easy to drive, easy to load and unload and I did not have to think about anything but getting what I needed done. Perfect experience.KIMBERLEY C.
The owners of this location do not listen to the customer's, I walked back inside to get the worker some help. I told the wife your employee outside needs help lifting the trailer. I'm recovering from surgery and can't lift heavy weight, after waiting 10 minutes in the grueling heat with no help. Picking up the moving truck using the app was a bigger hassle than it needed to be- was picking it up early on a Saturday morning. Took over 5 minutes for a rep to join the chat, and was trying to contact the submitted contacts for verification when this was not explained beforehand, luckily someone answered that I had provided, but if it had been any earlier, would have been out of luck and continued waiting which was taking up my rental time. Also, truck was not clean on inside due to being parked in muddy lot.Justin S.

Only comment would be to have the rental site open at 8:00 instead of 9:00 local time. It was my second time renting from this location and experience with staff and vehicle were very good. MerciSTEPHEN C.

Location did not have the appliance dolly and regular dolly we reserved and paid for. That meant extra time (a couple hours) and work for us in locating one. Getting though to customer service took 30 minutes on the phone. This was at a time when we had folks waiting to help us load back at our house. The location where a dolly was located (34th and Mangum) was a 100 % different experience. It was clean and organized. The personnel there were pleasant, efficient and helpful. They even loaded the dolly in my car. Here is what should have happened: someone- from uhaul customer service or the owner of shepherd location, should have made sure that all reserved equipment was there before we arrived. And if there wasn't equipment to complete the order, someone should have located the equipment we were missing, picked it up and brought it to the location so that it was ready. Or at the very least, knew where one could be found. Its not like we are in a rural area where there are no other uhaul locations. As it was, I had to do it. The man we dealt with at this shepherd location was most unhelpful- basically he shrugged. The truck was parked in a lot filled with deep mud and ruts. We slipped twice. And the truck was located at the at very back of the lot. We had to figure out how to get TO the truck and get the truck OUT of the lot. Once we started navigating the truck out, mud was slinging everywhere. This pick location was absolutely filthy inside and out. Our drop off location was great on the other end of our move.Audrey L.

The parking area for the U-Haul equipment is hazardous at best. The presence of random, steel bars cemented haphazardly in the parking yard, with zero purpose or use, is dangerous for all vehicles and trailers. This is compounded by the associate, Ali, who is a complete idiot and has no idea how to direct or spot a driver. The trailer also had no jack, which is preposterous. I will likely buy a trailer for myself before I rent one from U-Haul again.Glory H.
The sign on the business was not the name that was on the UHaul website/email. I received. There was no address on the building on the street that was on the email. The entrance was on the side street next to the theoretical address on the main street. I went around the block 3 times before I went in to the entrance on the side street. The clerk was more interested in her phone than me. I asked where the trailer was and she pointed and said next door. When I asked where? She said over there and then said she would send someone over. That person spoke zero English and was difficult to communicate with although he was nice. Not a professional operation at all.Roy H.
Your truck was full of dirt and soil from the previous rental that I had to spend half an hour cleaning while I was supposed to be moving. It also rained overnight and when I moved my things water had obviously gotten on my items. You also quoted the gas level about 9 $higher than what it was. It was a full dial width lower than a 1/4 but you had it at 3/8 of a tank. The moving blanket bag was empty and flipping everywhere.KYLE S.
Be on time opening the location people go through a lot of stress moving and expect for uhaul to be open on time.. we got there at 9am as scheduled.. the owner didn't show up till 9 36am that is 36 min past opening and I unacceptable. We had a line of 7 people standing behind us too.. Other thing is no dollys or blankets of any kind were provided which made moving even harder.. The rental site is a working auto repair shop not a retail site, so it looks like a working shop not a store front, but the staff is helpful and knowledgable and the U-Haul equipment is clean and well maintained. U-Haul was surprisingly affordable and it was very easy to rent a trailer and move the stuff I needed to move.JAMES E.

This location was awful. It's a work down mechanic shop with a dirt lot on the side filled with u-hauls. When I arrived, it was closed even though it was past 9 am. They opened late and then told me to park the cargo trailer on the side on a dirt lot. No one knew what was going on. I didn't feel safe leaving the u-haul in an open area. I tried calling u-haul but never got through to customer service. I left it there, took a pic, and checked out via the app. The app check out is convenient but the drop off location is concerning. There were several other customers dropping off or picking up.Raul V.

The interior of the van was a little dirty. It looks like the last person didn't clean up. I made a reservation to pick up the rental at 8:30am using the app; but when I got to the location the app told me that my reservation was set for hand delivery, and that the location opens at 9am. I could not get website to work accurately so I turned in my keys and then couldn't upload pictures. I'm upset that I may be charged 20 $for not being able to utilize the self drop off option correctly. Good idea but very hard website to utilize.BRITTANY ELIZABE B.
Your app does not work. I could not log in, making contactless pick up impossible. My original pickup location was changed without my knowledge and I was not informed about it until the day before when I had to call customer service due to the app not working. The trailer was junk! Had I had the flexibility, I would bit have accepted it. The left fender was separating from the trainer and the trailer door barely operated. Very disappointed that this was acceptable to UHaul!ERICH R.

Today I rented a truck from a U haul partner. The facility was filthy, there was trash all around the dirt/muddy parking lot. The name of the facility was not the same as the name of the facility on your website. The truck was dirty. It was an unsatisfactory experience. Y'all should do a better job to make sure your partners are proud of their places of business and represent UHaul is a positive light.MICHELE A.
I don't know that the location is the problem. The vehicle was clean and the staff was professional and pleasant. However, the location address is inaccurate online, so I wasted time on moving day going to the address listed before calling for the staff or owner to tell me the correct place. The process of reserving equipment in the online reservation is pointless as the site didn't have the equipment that day - moving without a dolly is much harder than with one. Again, I don't know if that's the location or u-haul logistics.Angela R.
The U-Haul app was not functioning so I was forced to pick up the vehicle late through in-person service. The previous evening a site representative had called to switch the vehicle type from a van to a 10' box truck and I suspect that this switch had broken the link I needed to do early pick-up.RONALD M.

Drop this location as fast as possible. The location was difficult to get to due to poor directions. More than one customer had issues finding it. The name on the sign did not match the name on the website. Once there the customers were low priority. The storage facility for the equipment was unsecured, allowing for damage or theft at the renter's expense since there was no one to take possession of the returned equipment.NEILL C.
