I was a bit weirded out when they asked me to pull the truck out myself, as it was squeezed in between to other big trucks. And there was some trash in the side door of the truck, but I cleaned it out when I was done. Overall, I was happy that they had a truck available with 15 minutes notice. My experience at this location was very good. Unfortunately this is not the location of the rental I reserved. I reserved a rental cargo van for pickup on Monday Jan 2,2023 at Upton Getty, 115 Main St, Upton, Ma. I arrived for pickup, the van was there but I was told the person who handles rentals was not. I was redirected 12 miles away to another location and a more expensive truck rental. I was never contacted at any time with this situation. I am very upset, but happy and find this service unacceptable.Robert M.

Your cancelation period IS VERY unnecessarily short...Pain in the ass. Your APP stinks too, too many hoops, and NO thank you. Helen's is friendly, but after-hours pick up and return, using APP sticks.Michael M.
First of all this was not the original location. U Haul could not fix a flat tire on the original reservation days before I actually was scheduled to pick it up. Instead of transporting a trailer to the original location I had to drive further away to get this one. Trailer was full of debris which I had to remove before loading my motorcycle. Break light not working on driver side. I was told it was 50 % working so it's ok. Ramp is not long enough for motorcycles with low frames so it will BOTTOM out Which it did and broke my kickstand spring. Don't rent it with cruisers or you will regret it. Customer service is terrible period at U Haul but the person at the rental location was pleasurablePaul A.

There was something wrong with the Uhaul website when I was trying to rent a truck online so I called Hellen Garage directly and they were extremely helpful. They were able to circumvent the system and reserve a truck for me for the next day. Pick-up and drop off was quick and hassle free. Both men that waited on me were very friendly. I had a very bad experience with the management team at my storage facility that day, (not Uhaul), so having a pleasant experience with Uhaul and Hellen Garage made me feel much better! You have the worst website in the world and do not communicate with your rental service companies. There has never been a smooth transaction and it is always because of uhaul. But your company has always known this so it's pointless writing this.Peter R.
My truck had broken down on the highway. Roadside assistance wasn't helpful had me wait on the highway til midnight for no one to even show up. I was very disappointed on uhuals truck and roadside assistance. Helping a customer while they are broken down should be a #1 priority. They shouldn't put their customers safety at risk.Aaliyah C.

This location was great! They provided great customer service. Uhaul on the other hand, tried rescheduling me 2 times the day before I was moving, 2 weekends in a row....not ok at all!!!! It seems that Uhaul is very disorganized and needs to come up with a better way to do things. I will never use Uhaul again becuase they aren't reliable at all. The location I went to though had great service!!! It's a shame that bad reviews are killing these small companies when it is not their fault it is Uhauls disorganization!!!!Carrie S.

I got cheated out of 32 dollars because I could not pick up the trailer for tending to my wife's 2 flat tires. I sent her to pick up the trailer and some how the 32 dollar insurance charge the I â€œuncheckedâ€ on the original reservation made its way back in the invoice. I call I called them and they told me to call Uhaul, who in turn put me on hold for more that an hour with no progress made. This place is horrible and so is uhaul. Never again.William N.

Under my account, the pick up location randomly changed to somewhere in Texas even though it was scheduled for pick up in MA. I called twice to confirm the pick up location and both times the customer service agents assured me that in the system I was picking up from the correct location in MA. We showed up at that location on the pick up day, and it turned out to not exist anymore and didn't have any u-hauls. So I had to call u-haul and have them change the reservation to another location. When we got to the next location, we were told that they were locked out of their system and couldn't release any trucks. It took an hour on the phone, constantly being put on hold, for the rental agent and the u-haul agent on the phone to figure it out. 2 hours after my reservation, we finally had a truck. The whole thing was completely ridiculous and unprofessional. This caused us to fall behind on schedule and we ended up moving out later than was allowed by the lease. I would really appreciate a full refund, since I wasn't provided with the service I requested.Robert M.
After making an online reservation 2 weeks earlier and less than 24 hrs before pick up getting my pick up location bumped 50 miles further and getting the "Oh well" attitude from the call center then show up at the new location to find the trailer not there. I was ready for more attitude but Sara(Hellen Garage employee) understood my frustration, checked what went wrong on why there was no trailer there and made some phone calls and got a trailer there in about an hour. Its nice to find someone thats looking out for the customer.Mike A.

It was an absolute nightmare I will never ever recommend to anyone. I have had several calls to U-haul and was left stranded in the dark, unable to get key for the truck. No supplies that I paid for. Etc etc. was told I would get a refund. None of this true. I'm completely disgusted and I will never forget this horrible experience.Jennifer S.
It is easier to get a passport have a kid or drive through NY city on a Friday night than this process. Fuck that very outdated, app sucks, pad lock is worthless multiple people don't know where to transfer you.. wouldn't use this again I've they haven't me the truck and the title too it for free.David B.

Because they hav only online app pickup availability. The app is horrendous. App times out while trying to upload required documents... proof of id,, etc... then bounces you back to initial page loosing all input. Then the site has timed out so often you need to clear the cache on your phone to continue. Which of course means you again have to start over... I wasted an hour standing in sun trying to get keys out of lockbox. Was only rescued by calling a supervisor directly. Namesha my local dealer in Oxford was an immense help by sending me contact info for her supervisor Tye He was great. The app is hot garbage... the site without an agent to help is worthless. Never ever using online check in w/o agent available... waste of your time....Greg D.

I had a reservation at another U-haul dealer and they were unable to provide what I needed. Changed to this one and things worked out well - even though I had to rent a larger truck than I wanted.RANDALL T.
Our original pick up was in Worcester Massachusetts a couple of blocks from where we were going to be using it. The day before we receive a phone call telling us we need to go to Uxbridge to pick up a rental, because they don't have what I reserved. When we arrive there is a lockbox and no Uhaul employees and we do not have a code. We were unable to get the code via the app or Wendy, It took us over 1 1/2 hours and several phone calls before we could get the code. We were never informed this was a location with no employees. This added 20 miles to our original booking and cost us 1 1/2 hours of lost time. There was no one interested in the drop off location in listening to what transpired, just a â€œyou'll get your receipt emailedâ€. I would assume this is not normal for your company, and would've proactively reached out. Yet here I am 2 days later posting our experience, to try to get acknowledgment from uhaul that our experience was not the service you representmichael S.
The local agent was rude and uncaring. I understand most businesses are working short staffed but that is no excuse for rudeness. You should check in with this local agency as they are not representing the UHaul name very well.JOE L.

I had reserved a furniture dolly about 2-3 weeks prior to move date, when I arrived there were not any furniture dollys available. It's very frustrating when you have heavy furniture to move not to have a dolly They should have mentioned when I ordered it, that it might not be available. They did have a 2 wheel dolly, but not helpful for large pieces of furniture!Patricia S.

Got charged for fuel when the truck was filled to the exact point it was picked up at. Tried calling the garage to see why I was charged and they informed me â€œwe have no part in this to call uHaulâ€. I was overcharged for gas. They told me that there was almost a full tank. It was just over 3/4 of a tank Other than that ,it was a seamless transactionWilliam P.
I was over charged an extra day and charged a gallon for gas even though I put the exact amount in a half mile away from returning. I am still being over charged even though they refunded me $27,13 they still over charged me another $20 so something is wrong with the billing.Anthony A.

The tires were bald and the whole trip was a white knuckle experience. I had to drive thru Franconia notch with wind and snow. 200 miles of hell. If my car was like that I would be laughed out of the inspection station. In the driveway it almost got stuck on a 10 degree incline with snow. This could of ended up with me dead or injured. Moving is stressful enough but with bad tires I was sick all night. I rented in Worcester two weeks earlier and everything was fine. This time had to drive 40 minutes each way just to pick up the truck. I want a refund.Anthony D.

The manager didn't know the vehicle had been returned even though it was sitting on the lot. Therefore it wasn't cleaned or sanitizer or inspected before it was rented to me. There was a 30 minute delay, at least, while the manager tried to access the uhaul website to locate another van when he thought it was still unreturned. Needless aggravation given the van was sitting right there!Kimberly C.

This location doesn't seem to â€œwantâ€ to be a uhaul location. The guy in the garage told me he probably didn't have the trailer, it was there, I saw it. Then told me to go to the other office because he was too busy. Went to the other office and was greeted by a â€œwhat?â€ When I walked in the door. She was annoyed she had to do a uhaul transaction. Told me her system wasn't even online, and I had to wait for her to fix it. I then had to wait another 20 mins to have the busy guy from the garage (mechanic) come out and verify it was hooked up correctly. In the end, I got my trailer after about a 35 minute process and multiple attitudes about how they don't have time to take care of me, they have other work to do. Would I go back? Maybe because I live in town and it was convenient. Would I recommend going there if there are other option? Absolutely not.Matthew R.
