The reception is so bad there shouldn't be any mobile pickups or drop offs. It was a pain in the dark with mosquitoes and I lost connection and couldn't continue with picking up my truck. Then I had to contact supports to help me with the next steps because the app no longer had the "pickup my vehicle option" During the day hours, the guy seems to be really nice.

I really liked the flexibility offered at this location. We would definitely rent from here again.

Horrible. 16 miles from my original location. Back a long drive to a dirty body shop that took 15 minutes to find someone to help. Really dissalointing

This comment has absolutely nothing to do with the location where we picked up our U-Haul. The individual at Hohlfeld Repair was very nice and helpful. The place was out in the boonies and we didn't have cell service. Luckily someone was in the vicinity to inform us where to go to check in for the U-Haul. This comment is about our reservation ........ On March 13, 2024 I reserved a U-Haul trailer for pick up on May 12, 2024 for use to move our college student out of a rental. On May 10, at 10:45 a.m., I received a call from U-Haul informing me they do not have a trailer for us to use. Our plan was to leave Madison at 12:30 p.m. to head to La Crosse for our college student's graduation. Words can't express how extremely disappointed I am in U-Haul. Why make a reservation when only to be told there isn't a rental to use. It certainly isn't my fault for planning ahead. Why would U-Haul rent the trailer I rented to someone else? U-Haul wanted us to pick up the rental in Madison and take it to La Crosse, Wisconsin. Well, first, we didn't have the time and second, why would we pull an empty trailer 120 miles away. The individual who called was able to find us a trailer about 20 miles from our location in La Crosse but we had to pick up on Saturday, May 11, not Sunday May 12. Instead of a relaxing Saturday morning before a 1 p.m. graduation ceremony, we had to spend a chunk of the morning picking up a U-haul trailer and making arrangements with our hotel for approval to have it parked there overnight. Do better U-Haul. I will think twice before renting from U-Haul for this reason.

Trailer was still hitched to truck. Could not see in the dark. 24/7 assistance was terrible. They never recorded that I had the truck. When I dropped off truck, they said it should be where I picked it up. Over a hour away pick up location from where I wanted. Need two trucks booth hours apart. Total mess by U-Haul. Thank god the trucks actually worked. Never U-Haul again. Figure your shit out!!! Not happy with your service!!!!

The drop off location was 20 miles from our destination and was located literally in a farmers field next to an auto repair shop. There was a number to call on the side of a building to return the trailer. No one was around to assist us. When we called the number, we were told to pull the trailer into the field, not to block the driveway, and to then leave. We had to back the trailer into the field to avoid getting stuck which was a hassle and took some time because of the conditions of the field. Awful.

UHAUL CORP needs to stop sending customers to other locations to pick up equiptment. I requested this item well in advance and was required to travel the wrong direction because I was notifyed just days before the rental that the equipment was not available at my requested location and needed to pick it up a day sooner than rented. This has happened before. UHAUL corp needs to do a better job !

Please put vehicle id number on all truck keys. I had 2 sets of keys in the lock box. One had the id of my truck. The other set had no vehicle number. I assumed if they were for another vehicle the vehicle number would be on them. The other set opened the after hours drop box so I took that set with me also. Needless to say I got a call from the location asking if I took both sets of keys. They were not happy with me. They couldn't move a truck. I would have never took that set if a vehicle number was on them.

They were on time and as advertised but when I went to pick up the trailer they pushed political and religious views on me. Not harsh but enough to make it uncomfortable.

Let people know a little bit more information about the location. We didn't know if we were in the right place because it looked like someone's home.

Someone from U-Haul changed my pickup and drop off location with our notifying me. Added 2 extras hours to my day. I never spoke to anyone and they noted they spoke to me, very dishonest. Next blew a tire, which is not U-Hauls fault. And was informed the trailer may not pull right. Never had a light test done and the lights worked half the time. Also was informed we were testing a trailer to see if it pulls ok. Terrible experience.

The 10 ft truck I got severely needs shocks. I understand trucks bounce but I'm a truck driver and those shocks sucked. Other than that good experience.

The pickup location was hard to find and the vehicles were not located near the office. Had to drive 1/4 mile to a very old garage that was dark and built well maintained. My plans wre delayed by over 3 hours because no one communicated I would not pick up where I had requested . This was very frustrating.

I can't believe UHaul would contract with this location. Reservation was moved here from LaCrosse (was not given 15 additional miles on my rental agreement to get back from this out of the way location). There is no office, just a farm building. No signage on where to go to meet someone or pick up a vehicle. It's so far down in the valley there is no cell or wireless service, so mobile pickup is a joke, and we had to drive 10 miles back to civilization until we had enough cell service to call UHaul. When we did finally arrange to have an attendant meet us, keys were already in the vehicle (note to thieves) and he did not conduct the typical walkaround to note any damage. Could not leave from there faster, and embarrassed for UHaul on this one.

To be honest there were many buildings that looked to be in disrepair and dozens of broke and or smashed cars all over the place. The owner waited by the trailer and had to escort me to the office so would know were to go. He was nice and did seem to know what he was doing but then he also asked if I wanted to sign a petition to impeach Tony Evers. I thought that was pretty unprofessional. I am not sure that I would revisit this establishment.

I don't usually write these reviews but do to the circumstances that happened this is what I'm going to say. Place is a joke! Got bitched at because we parked in the middle of there driveway only because there was no direction pointing to an OFFICE!! So yeah we got out and walked to find it but there was one of the guys that was just damn rude about where we parked and wouldn't shut up about it. Equipment had a broken plastic fender and it was buried in the grass, there was 14 yes I said 14 dogs running around and sounded like the place was a puppy mill ? I certainly hope I don't ever need to go back to this place because I will find somewhere else to do my business..

Have them kennel their 9 dogs so they dont attack customers, fix your driveway so you dont wreck the rental trucks or customer's cars and lose the horrendous attitude, treated my mother with disrespect. Don't let your kids play in the rental trucks. This was an awful experience and I will be sure to warn people about this location. I left almost in tears.

I will never recommend this pick up location! It is terrible conditions from no signs to direct where the office is to the filthy dog with open wound that greeted us. The check in took longer as the guy was too busy trying to bid on a car auction at the same time and he did not want to miss out on buying a car. There was loud Christian radio playing that we had to talk over in the disgusting shop/office environment. I am sure there were plenty of rodents in the area we had to sign the rental contract. I would not recommend anyone going to this location alone as it is straight out of a horror movie located in a junk yard.

It was farther than I expected to drive. When we got there, we didn't know which building or door to enter. My husband walked in what turned out to be the correct door and said "hello", but it took a while for anyone to respond.

General information on where to find the office, I arrived several minutes before Pickup time, had no idea where to go etc. a sign directing to office would be beneficial

This location was located in a remote location, with no sign along highway 61. We were directed there because the original location told us they did not rent one-way , 6 x 12 van trailers. We were NOT told that when we reserved the trailer in LaCrosse. This snafu cost us two hours of loading time and extra gas.

It was too far from my location. I was driving 5 1/2 hours to get the trailer and this added another 1 hour. The guy was great and really worked hard to help us out but the location was out of the way and in the country, hard to find.

This location was not convenient. This was 30 minutes away from the starting point of our move. While the owner was helpful, this location added 60 minutes to a very busy day of packing the 15 foot truck. I was notified of this change of location the night before (7:45pm) I needed the truck. Please note that the LaCrosse UHaul on Rose street who were still open apologized for the inconvenience and moved up my pickup time due to the fact that the pick location in Chaseburg was only open until noon on Saturday. We were driving three hours to LaCrosse in order to assist with the move and to drive the truck. All in all a huge hassle.

The location is difficult and there is no signage for the office. This is a dairy arm with a car repair in a large shed. There are a number of dogs approaching the cutomers.
