It was NOT this location but my original order at a different location was NOT OPEN WHEN IT WAS CONFIRMED (in writing) TO BE OPEN. I needed the u-haul that day so I had to travel 50 miles round trip to get a my trailer. VERY VERY frustrating! Your area rep was very helpful with my situation but my experience was NOT good. I have used U-Haul many times in the past. The dealer that was not open was ALLEN GARAGE & TOWING, 4678 NC HWY 72 W in Lumberton, NC. I trust you will address this problem for future customers!

I was set to pick up at 7:30 and received a call from the owner of the motel who asked me to come between 8:30-9 instead, and so I got there at 8:30 to give some time for the pick up process and he wasn't there. I sat there for an hour, while the lady behind the counter Ms. Pat or something like that refused to call him and was extremely rude. After an hour, I wouldn't stop coming to the window so she had no choice but to call him. He got there in 10 minutes, so seems like he was home and wasn't going to be there for me to get my equipment and knew he wasn't going to be. Then also over charged me instead of the $139 before tax I was charged $263,9 and was given 188 miles instead of the 216 that was on my reservation. I called, no one answered and U-Haul scheduled my call to fix that issue and no one ever called me Monday.

Oliver HHe tried to give us an old truck that sounded like the brakes and transmission were about to fall out. Once we refused and told him we wanted another truck because of the distance we were going, he gave us a newer truck that worked great. If you've got a good truck sitting on your lot, why give someone (especially on older lady) the old clunker when you know she's going to be driving 700+ miles through the NC mountains?!? He made it right though

B MI have dropped off at this location twice and each time I was charged a fuel charge plus the price of added fuel. I took pics of the before mileage and fuel level and pics of the fuel level with mileage when I turned it in. The first time I was exactly on with the fuel level and was charged for 8 gallons so the second time I over filled it from what it was when I picked it up and I was still charged for fuel. I reached out to support with pics and I still haven't received a response.

Stephanie OWe returned it on a Sunday and the owner quickly left to go to church. We tried to complete the check out on the app, but it gave us difficulties. The app wouldn't let us enter a zero in the odometer mileage. It also was rejected our pictures, and we couldn't snap new ones because the business owner took the key and left. We ended up calling customer service to complete the check out process.
David MAt this location I had to ring the bell for at least 5mins before anyone came to the window for my reservation. The uhaul truck wasn't cleaning out at all. There was sand everywhere in the truck. There was blood running all down the driver door that had dried up already. I had to ask the motel guy for some cleaning supplies. The truck wasn't sanitized at all.
Tiffany MI scheduled for a 15 ft truck weeks ago to pick up in Wilmington, NC. Friday night I got a call saying there wasn't a truck and I had to drive 30 minutes away to Keith's tire and auto in Reigelwood, NC. When we got there, the transfer had not fully gone through so I was on the phone with Uhaul for over an hour to get fully transferred and then get the code to the lockbox. When I opened the lockbox, there was no key. Uhaul then canceled the order and had me drive another 30 minutes to Whiteville, an hour from Wilmington. There was still trouble on Uhauls end so we were on the phone for probably another hour. Originally we were to pick up a truck at 3:30 pm and didn't get one until 7:30 pm with still an hour to drive home. Meanwhile, we still have to finish packing and cleaning. I'm still waiting to get my money back on the first order. I was also told I would be getting $100 credit but have yet to see it. I was also charged about $50 for going over the mileage when it was uhauls fault for having us drive an hour out of our way. Unless I get my money back and I'm compensated for wasted time and energy, I will not recommend Uhaul and I never want to see another Uhaul again.

THOMAS RMy miles were incorrect, was charged $26 for going over 50+ miles! From the pickup location to my house and drop off only totaled 175 give or take. And was left on hold for an hour waiting to dispute it, then the call dropped. Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. Might try Penske next time.

RAY FYou can improve on everything. I waited 3 hours to pick up my truck from this location. The office manager did not want to help me. And the wait time (on the phone) for the Truck Share 24/7 is beyond ridiculous.
