I set up a reservation to have my equipment in Baraboo, WI, and was told the morning-of that I had to drive 30 min south of Baraboo to get my box truck and 25 min north of Baraboo to get my auto transport before 5pm on a day that I needed to work. Luckily, my employer was flexible about this, but I needed to spend an extra 2-3 hours out of my workday to pick up the equipment. In the future, I would expect U-Haul to honor the reservation and to have U-Haul employees drive the equipment to the location I had designated for pick-up (ie: Baraboo).

Mary, at the front desk, was extremely rude to me for the first 15 minutes of our interactions. I did an online check in, and it showed it was fine on my end. But, when I got to the desk, Mary claimed that she did not see it on her end and I had to check in with her. So, I went through the check in process again. I could not find my current drivers license, so she told me I couldn't use mine, which I understand. I can't understand that she can't accept it, it's a liability for UHaul, but this is when she got the attitude and that is where I have the problem. I had to call my mother to rush over with her ID, thankfully she lives nearby. Mary at the desk said if my mom got there in 10 minutes, we could get it set up, but the maintenance men leave at 4:30 sharp, so we had to do it quick and one very kind man, Alex, would stay behind to help me. Which, does not make sense as my original check in time was for 4:45 As we were waiting for my mother, Mary started giving me false legal advice about my license. I informed her that the cops in the area have given me over information, but she continued to bring up over and over and over that if I got pulled over with that license, I would get in trouble. As my mother was doing the check in process, Mary was making comments to us about stuff that was on my online Check in. Such as how my ID picture was upside down. So, obviously my online check in process was completed, but Mary lied to me which created all these issues that could have been avoided. Once my mom arrived, though, Mary dropped the attitude. Then, apparently when I was changing the time on my pickup from 4:45 to 4:30, the drop off time got changed to noon. Mary informed me of this when I dropped off the trailer at 3:30. I told her it's early as my drop off time was 4 pm. She told me, very pleasantly, actually, that everything was okay because I had it for less than 24 hours. But she told me that she remembered me when I made this comment the day before I would have it back by noon the following day, which I didn't. Overall, i understand the license issue, but I was not enthused with Mary's attitude and lying about the U-Haul check in process.

Number of the address should be posted. I was just assuming that I had the right place going off of the gps and a uhaul truck in front. I would have hesitated if there wasn't another truck there

I was supposed to be picking up the truck and trailer from one location a couple minutes from my house and less than 24 hours before my scheduled pickup time I was notified that I had to travel to another town to get what I need. Then I was not able to get the truck and trailer from the new location so I had to pick up a trailer at one location and a truck at a different location. This was a huge problem for me as I was moving by myself. When I made my reservation I chose the same drop off point for both truck and trailer and ended up having two different locations when I was done with them. Not having what I reserved at the location that I needed and having to jump through a million hoops the evening before I had to pick up and move my house in the morning was unacceptable. The extremely short notice on behalf of uhaul/ affiliate to give me drastic changes in my schedule and locations for equipment and not being able to get all of my reservation at one location has made the stress of moving even greater.

Trailer I was supposed to get was infested with ants. I grabbed a different one, they never updated the trailer number in my contract. Drove across the country and dropped off at uhaul location. Then they never updated that I dropped it off because they thought I had a different trailer. Then was charged $250 for late charges. Spent 6 hours on hold multiple times before I was finally able to talk to a manager and have them fix it. Spent $900 on a trailer for all my stuff to be soaking wet and I have fleas all over all my stuff and everything is ruined. So the trailer they gave me ruined ALL OF MY STUFF. DO NOT RENT FROM UHAUL!!!!!!

We were told at the time of getting the uhual if we paid for extra miles they would be reimbursed but when we returned the uhual they said no we are out that money. With us being homeless that money was needed for food

I was forced to utilize the above location because the location that I made my "reservation" at did not have the truck that I needed. This was explained to me via a phone call 15hrs prior to when I was supposed to pick up the truck. U had to find another truck after the agent that called me hung up on me while I was talking to her. The next agent was very helpful however I will NEVER utilize your company again and I will describe my experience on all social media avenues, also all friends and family will be advised of this ridiculous customer service standards.

I was disappointed to find out that my location 10 minutes away did not offer one way after booking. We had to drive 30 minutes away to pick up a truck which added more time and milage so we went over our free miles. I suggest you don't offer one way online for locations that don't offer it. Otherwise all went well.

The return location is over grown and hidden in the trees. It's a narrow entrance. It feels uninviting and insecure. Also, it's very difficult to do the return process online here since cell phone reception is poor.

Falsely claimed that they had to clean the truck. I returned the truck in the same condition that I picked it up in. Charged me cleaning fee and missing furniture pad fee. They must make that money directly on all the extras.
