The Hubbards location was not so great. I returned the vehicle there after only 3 rental hours. At that time I was told no U-Haul personnel were on site, that their day ended at 1:00. I had checked online and those limited hours did not show up. 8:00 pm was the advertised closing time. There was no mention of a penalty to me. The next morning I was there at 7:00 am to hand over the keys. I was informed that because the mileage and gas info was not left when I dropped off the vehicle, I could be charged for an additional day, though I was still within the 24 hour rental time, even then. It was just not pleasant and I said I'd be lodging a dispute were I charged additional fees. The person complained that it was 7:00 in the morning and I told her I was reasonable and wasn't trying to be difficult. I told her I'd put 50 worth of gas in the vehicle for 101 km that I used the vehicle.It had been below 3/4 tank when I picked it up. Then she became more professional though things still ended up with me leaving without any information about totals and charges. I was very uneasy. In the end she did get Internet to deal with this, but it was after I left. So Western Shore was awesome and helpful. But really I would rate Hubbards as Below Average because not only the lack of clarity, but how she made me feel I did something wrong. A bother. It comes down to customer service. Western Shore was awesome. He did all his other customer work around me and never appeared ruffled. Was always pleasant and helpful.

Honestly t was a pain from the get go. The truck we were given had a check engine light and couldn't reverse. We were charged for safe move because the representative couldn't turn it off so we paid more than we should have. Needing a new truck I had to call and organize and we were over an hour late getting this sorted. In the end we paid extra for miles we didn't actual drive, gas that was incorrect, and I spent half an hour while returning the truck today dealing with this and we still were charged more than we should have.

William Kellymechanical on equipment not acceptable. First 26" truck pulled wiring didnt allow trailer lights, first trailer leg crank broke while being attached. Second truck, and 3rd trailer later(2+hours) we were ready to go. Requested moving blankets, not present, moving dolley not present. (Both removed from bill - ty). Brake issue during trip, uhaul tele-help were great, uhaul mechanics were great. Lack of staff at Pickup location and lack of training caused a 1 day delay. (Training - notify renters that your trucks has speed limiters on them, the limit of speed allowed, and how to properly drive with Tow/Haul on) Once past brake issue, the trip went great. SPECIAL NOTE: Pickup location employee "Logan', deserves a raise for how well he handled our situation, polite, apologetic, caring, made effective decisions under pressure(6 other customers waiting)....not his fault - lack of staff/call-in issue. amanda spenceWhile the U-haul agent at pickup was helpful and accommodating (despite changing the name on the reservation when adding a 2nd driver), U-haul and their reservation system are SERIOUSLY flawed as there is NO attempt to provide reserved items. As a result, I needed to drive 60 km one direction to pick up the truck I reserved and then arrange with a separate U-haul agent 50 km the other direction for the furniture blankets/pads I had reserved. I understand that the agents cannot control what is returned to them but more needs to be done to ensure the items I reserved (and paid for) are actually provided...unless U-haul has such confidence in their market share for one-way moves that they have zero consideration for customer service and satisfaction.

Valerie MacDonaldI've always had decent experiences with uhaul, but this one was disappointing. I booked my uhaul the night before, and went in to ask a question. The poor lady working could have easily figured out the uhaul contract, etc if she had someone else there with her but she was by herself … on a Sunday …. In July … at a gas station by a beach without pay at the pump. It took almost an hour to get me geared up with the uhaul - almost the same amount of time I had it for. This is by no means her fault, she was very professional and apologetic, but it's unfortunate either of us had to be in that position in the first place. I would not get a uhaul from here again.
Olivia Grace Cur CorkumClerk working at the satellite location - Irving gas station in Hubbards was very rude and unprofessional. His manner was abrupt and very unfriendly, even argumentative. Also, prior to picking up the vehicle at that location a phone call was made to him to confirm the pick-up and he even hung up the phone, not wanting to talk about the details. We had also paid the $10 for the moving blankets when we booked the order and did not receive. When the booking was made via credit card we were quoted $149. plus 50 free kl and then 0,25 cents per kl. + 10 for a dozen blankets. When we picked up the vehicle we were charged $200 plus we had to put $100 damage deposit down on the truck, and he insisted it had to be paid by credit card. and was very rude about it. *Nothing was said about a damage deposit, when we placed the order. and unfortunately we did not have our credit card with us, and had to use a family members card instead. Creating stress on them.

Christopher Paul NoblettAs stated in previous feedback that was submitted the person that was working at the time didn't know what she was doing and couldn't get the booking completely. Kept asking questions about stuff that was already filled in in the online booking info. She took my drivers license and put in the Information and still had to get me to do the online check in process which I didn't have internet access and my phone and had to use my fiancé's. She also kept complaining about the system and the amount of information it was asking for. She had to actually call uhaul customer service to find out how to get it to go through as she could get past the one page. We were there for an hour just to pick up the trailer which made us late to pick up our vehicle. Then the next day when we dropped the vehicle off I did the online drop off check and uploaded the pictures and selected the option to get my refund inside. Went and and the same lady was there and she couldn't find the drop off Information in the system and told me to come back later when someone else was there to help. I have still yet to get my refund as the location is 45-60 min drive from where I live, and haven't been able to go back due to a busy schedule.

TIM ARSENAULTMy customer experience was terrible based solely on actions undertaken by UHual. After being unable to reserve through my phone, I called uhual and made the reservation over the phone. This process was easy however the reservation was not booked correctly causing my rental price for a few hour rental to skyrocket into the hundreds of dollars. The reservation was suppose to be for a round trip but was booked, unbeknownst to me, as a one way. To make matters worse it was pointed out to me by the service station that uhual had added an issurance charge unilateraly - without the consent of the customer this action is extremely unethical. The question I'm left with is if it is worth the aggravation of trying to be reinsubursed for this charge. I have rented from uhual in the past and hold your company in low regard based on the aggregate of my experiences.

Though the young man did a good job handling my order and making sure the line of customers wasn't too long he felt rushed and unprepared to complete both tasks efficiently.

Took us at least an hour to get the truck. Employee was very nice but store was busy and she had to take care of customers and try to find out about our reservation. We had to call Uhaul a couple of times. Once was to find out about condition of truck and then to go thru financial arrangements, again. And the truck was half empty.

Didn't notice it when i took the trailer.then i put air in it and drove to Windmill Road Dartmouth where they had to put two new tires on the trailer. Very good service there.

After several attempts I contacted the next closest location in Chester, who rather than have me use unnecessary kms by renting from their location, provided me with a toll free number to book a truck.

The Go U-haul # is based in Arizona and we could not get them to understand what we needed. Took over two frustrating hours on the phone with Go U-haul and roadside assistance until we finally got the local Dartmouth office and Noni(?) and Bill provided excellent Customer service, We are able to be understood and were able to have our problems resolved within a few minutes of reaching this local number. Well done Noni(?) and Bill.
