Despite the site stating you had the option of picking up your uhaul keys without the need of counter service this is definitely NOT the case. We called the number provided by the location to no avail and no one was on site despite the hours posted reading they were in fact open; to add insult to injury the corporate number continued to insist someone was on site (the place was empty, locked and closed.) The regional manager was then called and they stated they could come bring us our keys. In the meantime, the local manager was finally reached & she stated she was on her way and we would see her in 10 minutes. Over 45 minutes later, the regional manager did in fact arrive to our rescue and provide us with the uhaul keys we had already paid for upon the website. We aren't providing a poor review of uhaul (they tried to remedy the situation). This POOR review is for the LACOMBE LA location.
John RihnerImprove EVERYTHING!!!! The absolute worst moving experience ever. The lack of information and customer service I have ever encountered. I would NEVER recommend using U-HAUL to even my worst enemy much less a friend. Use Hertz, Penske, or just a SLED!!!!
Sydney WilsonBecause it was after hours, a sign should be posted explaining the check-in process. One cannot just put the keys in the box and leave the vehicle. The information on the key is needed to check out.
Millissa RandolphThe trailers are in dire need of a Jack to help raise lower the tongue and to maintain the level of the trailer when stationary. This is an extreme safety hazard.
Troy TaylorThe instructions on the website when dropping off said do not park blocking the entrance to the building, in front of storage units or blocking the entrance/exits but there was nowhere else to park. I wound up finding 3 storage units without locks (assuming they were unused) & parking close to their doors so it was blocking as little as possible.

KAREN LARSONWell we were scheduled to pick up our truck at 10 AM. The lady behind the counter who was working could not help us at all, gave me an anxiety attack. The keys to the truck we were renting were locked inside of the truck in the lock was a bolt lock with a letter code and to me it was excuses she was giving us of why she couldn't get the code and I don't know why because she had the code all along and I'm not lying I had three other people with me who were also angry with her service. She made excuses of why we couldn't get the code to unlock the truck when she knew all along how to get it because she had it she said we needed to pay first and to my knowledge I thought we did but I suppose we did it and she never mentioned that we had to pay first. We were charged extra than we were told the overall experience was awful
