I rented the truck over a month before. The day before my move at 5pm, I received a text message that my pick up and drop off spot was in Chelsea. I'm moving within Queens - so a trip to Chelsea would have added 30 min in both directions. Luckily someone at the Chelsea location was able to resolve the issue - only after I persisted on the issue. Not very professional to text something like that hours before the persons move.

Because of covid and limited one way options, I had to reserve this as a round trip. Uhaul cancelled the one way reservation that i needed. The dealer was able to set me up for one way, so kudos to the dealer and boo to uhaul.com

What a terrible customer service!! It seems almost like a scam. I booked the pick-up in on location, no one never called me to confirm, and I just received a text message 15 min before the pick-up time inform a new pick-up location which was more the 5 miles away. Have anyone every complain about your fuck Gas refill scam? You leave a tank gas "almost" Full and ask to return it full. What a cheap company. Never ever again will use you service.

When I arrived I was told they did not have a van for me. My reservation was for noon. I arrived at noon and they said my reservation was for 10 and because I'd not arrived at that time the van reservation was released. I left and was then called back by phone to tell me they found a van. Although I appreciate that I'm not sure why my reservation was not originally honored. It made for a very frustrating sitialtion and time wasted.

The pick-up location was changed the day prior to reservation, which shifted my schedule for the day. Should have informed me of location change sooner. I initially declined the Safemove insurance but the person charged me for it without telling me. Didn't appreciate that. The location didn't have the furniture dolly like I requested.

Let people know to get there early! The online check in and verification took 30 minutes, so we were a little late to our first stop.

Smooth! in and out in 5 minutes. I did the online check in before I arrived. The man with glasses inside got my reservation together and showed me to the van. It was a piece of cake and I have never had any issues at this location. If you return the car after hours, you may have to find a legal street parking spot, but that's the only thing. Otherwise, smooth sailing.

This is the only location where I had a problem with Uhaul. The unit was very dirty and smelled quite strong. Some of the staff members didn't know what they were doing and delayed the drop off process. Also, nobody helps you fill-up the gas tank and the pump I got wasn't working well which made it a hassle and a mess.

Great working through this location. In and out in 10 minutes picking up, took less time dropping off. Did my move on Sunday for 6 hours, place was open when I dropped it off. Shareef was great to work with. Only knock was the number of blankets I had asked for were not available, but considering the horror stories I've read about other locations, I was cool with it. Otherwise, 5 star service from Imbaba. Would rent a truck from here again.

So my GUARANTEED RESERVATION was not actually guaranteed as the van and reserved was NOT there at the promised time. The man working inside said that van was suppose to be returned the day before but it wasn't and I was never notified. So today I can not move and have to spend more money. Your service is complete shit and Covid should have taken This company down. Pathetic...

- Such a shame the furniture dolly was not available. Took the small regular dolly instead but couldn't use it in the end but paid for it anyway. - Also, how do you refill enough to get to 1/3 of a tank, nobody knows. So put 10 USD worth of gas in the car to find out that I had refilled it for more than half a full tank. Just a bit annoying. Just always have people return it with a full tank so you don't have this annoyance. Now I paid for a rental for 4hrs which I only used for less than 3hrs, I paid for a dolly I couldn't use because the one I ordered wasn't available, and I paid too much for refilling. Next time I am definitely considering Zipcar Vans instead as it will be economically more viable for me.

I had my uhaul reserved for over 2 weeks. The day before our reservation, i received a text that we were unable to pick up our vehicle until that night. When I called, they said we were unable to take the vehicle in the morning, the time we originally reserved it for, because we had selected a different drop off. Why didnt they let us know this way earlier in the process? This was a huge pain and in order to get the truck we needed to bring it back to the original location which was completely out of our way.

I just had to wait because it's one person doing everything by himself. He is the cashier for the store, gas, and Uhaul. He was friendly and had a lot of patients. I had a good experience.

The customer service was great, quick check in and check out, we were pleasantly surprised. The only drawback is you may need to park your car on the streets or pay about $15 up to five hours and $20 for over five hours, which we have opted for as it was safer and quicker!

The owner was super attentive--helpful and friendly. Equipment was in excellent condition--I rented a small truck for a 1-bedroom move--it was super easy to drive, A/C was working great on a super hot July day--returned the rental to the same location, he owns a gas station so I fueled up, return the keys and the owner dispatch me with a thumbs up--I highly recommend this dealership/Imbaba Station 1 in Long Island City.

Hello - I have used this location in the past, and would have recommended it on any other occasion, but this past weekend was different. It was as hot as could be, and there was a pandemic going on, but we were unable to get our van at 1200, as we have reserved, as they did not have any available! What is the point of reserving if the equipment is not there! The attendant told us that it may come in 30 min, 1 hour, who knows!! It did eventually come, but after much anxiety!

Employee did not charge for insurance and told us to call within 30 min of leaving to put it on. When we called they said they could not add it and the woman on the phone was horribly rude. The truck was parked on a super busy highway that we had to cross with big bags of blankets just to get in the car. Super dangerous. I have also been trying to get a hold of customer service at UHaul to get the license plate of our truck so I can pay the tolls by mail but after four attempts no one has contacted me back. The service experience has really been awful. The only thing that went well for this rental was we got a truck and moved our stuff. Otherwise the experience was not pleasant.

I will Never rent from this company again. I should have taken pictures but it was not recommended by the clerk. When we returned the truck the other clerk said he will adjust everything and make sure everything was ok but that we had to deal with the previous clerk who handled us in regards to the mileage. I felt taken advantage of since it was my first time. In fact. He kept flirting with me, and gave me the impression that he needed assistance with finding apartments in the area. He then offered us free donuts. The charge was very expensive. It's so much more to the experience. I'm done with U Haul.

The app experience was HORRIBLE! I will never use it again. It took much longer than talking to a human. I had to wait outside my van in the hot sun for 20 minutes, while the system kept making me add stupid things to verify me. What happened to the days of just showing a person my drivers license and getting the rental?!

The location and the worker was very helpful. However U-Haul's online product simply does not work (unable to go through a single page without being asked to reload, approval pending forever and had to call customer service eventually and their payment server was down over an hour preventing me from making my payment). Very very poor online product experience. U-haul recommends online reservation and check out due to the corona virus, but the online experience does not work and had to get help over the counter anyways. Only found out that U-haul has very poor acknowledgement of their company's social impact and no effort shown at all to be a helpful company to society and its people during these times.

I rented truck sunday at 8:30 am then I returned back Monday at 8:14 am but employee charged me two days and keep saying no sir you came here 7:30 anyway I called customer service They returned my money back ! And also I got return for gas too he told me gas coast 3-4 dollars but on the bill 8 dollars.i made exactly 11 miles and he tried to rip me off . Anyway long story short u have to be rally careful where you rent truck from, do not go this place

The appointment time was confirmed for 7:00 AM however the rep at the location told me to wait till 8:00 AM. After making a fuss he told me 7:30. He was extremely unprofessional and told me I could not drop off the truck to my desired drop off location and gave me a choice between Riverhead and South Hampton when I already confirmed online to drop it off at Mattituck. I did end up dropping it off at Mattituck on my own. I would not ever return to this location or recommend it.
