Overall good! They made the process of moving quick and easy. No long wait times or excessive paperwork to fill out, and they were very accommodating of letting me change my U-haul pickup time to a later pickup time since packing and moving got a bit chaotic. Truck was sprayed with mud on sides, had mud tracked inside cab, and door foam liner fell down each time passenger door was opened. I went a total of 17 miles and put in 6 $worth of gas (I have receipt to prove it) yet was charged an additional 11 $fuel refill fee. I called to find out why I was charged extra and they said they didn't know, but maybe gas was a tick lower. I made sure gas was at same level, but wasn't paranoid enough to take photos for before and after besides the scrapes on the side prior to the rental. There's other locations and companies that I'd much rather support, likely won't be backBRIAN F.

I extended my rental after a few days. The original charge was 98 $. I called the toll free number because the rental place was closed. The customer rep said the charge was going to be 151 $to extend 7 days. The hold on my card was 250 $overdrawing my account. I returned the truck early and was charged another 42 $after the placing a total hold of 348 $. My total bill came to 141 $. But they had 348 $on hold. I was never told anything about the extra hold amount.ROBERT B.

The drivers seat handle was broken, so I couldn't adjust the seat to my comfort, but other than that I was very comfortable driving it. I wasn't happy with there communication, they couldn't explain correct information in regards to miles, drop off prices. It was all miss understanding because then they said I could have saved some money, but they didn't let me know. Just to let you know I was not the first time renting a Uhaul, & this was the first time that it was a (Big) Mess!!!!!!!!!!Lydia T.
The gas gauge was registered incorrectly on the computer, however with our service contract as proof, they allowed us to turn in the car with a quarter tank - as we were given it.Robert K.

The pad I ordered weren't in the truck but that ended up being OK and uhaul took the charge off. I was also able to extend my truck rental when the movers hired through uhaul didn't show up and we needed the truck for longer.Elizabeth J.

I had purchased extra supplies online expecting them to be at the pickup site they did not have any supplies nor did they carry any , also when making the reservation the website automatically had charges built-in for a dolly, furniture dolly, and blankets which I did not need. Did not have the reserved equipment in the store. I reserved an appliance dolly and there was NOT one available. They substituted a regular utility dolly instead. I felt I should have received a significant discount on the rental. This is not what I have come to expect from UHaul!!Russell H.
I was charged 100 $on my card and thats was befire i returned truck back in.. So 100 $after i leave the lot then when i do return the truck i am told i will be charged 43,09 $ for my rental.. So i got charged twice.. And they didnt ask for a deposit or i was told by the manager that i would get charged till after return the truck?? Wtf??? Double charged.. Since I was new to U-Hual, I asked about the gas on return and was told to fill it up before returning. When I called to extend the rental for a second day, the representative at the 800 number told me to fill it up. After putting 70 $in the tank, I was told at the return location that I only had to put it back to where it was when I rented it--at about half full. In addition, I was told that I had to return the car a full hour earlier than I had rented it because it was already rented for 8:00 on Saturday. Saturday morning was heavily fogged, and caused me to leave at 6:30 for a ten minute drive, but got me to the location after 7:00. It was unsafe to drive faster, but by the time the location manager could get me checked in, I was already over the limit and added another day of rental. Even though she had to charge me for it, she forgave 20 $because of the circumstances. On top of all this, that truck was still sitting there an hour later--if it was actually rented ror 8:00, the renter would have been there. I feel I was taken advantage of by U-Haul policy. I would say that manager is the only reason I would rent here, again, because she knew I had been taken advantage of on the gas return and the early return. So, in addition to the rental rates, which were deceptively low at 19,99 $ a day, and the ridiculous 1 $a mile for 69 miles, and 70 $for gas, this two-day rental racked up 180 $--quite a lot when compared to Budget Truck Rentals with better fuel economy. I have no complaints about the employees--they couldn't have been nicer--it's just a shame that the company policies take advantage of situations like these at every turn.SHARON C.

My experience with uhaul in general has gone from bad to worse over the past few years. Your ability to remain the lowest cost truck rental service came at the cost of service and quality. I'm pleased to say that my experience this time was different. They had everything i requested, at the time and location i reserved it, and they were friendly and polite and got me in and out efficiently. I hope this experience marks a change in priority for the company of moving back towards a service oriented model and appreciation for the customers who allow you to remain open for business! This team deserves recognition for their great service, and I hope others can learn from them!Justin D.
The equipment that I requested and made an appointment for was not available and I still was charged for that equipment even though I never received it. Also, the gas tank was at 1/4 when I picked it up, so I returned it filled to 1/4 and I was charged 20 $+. I'm still waiting for a partial refund.BRYCE A.

The uhaul was disgusting inside and not sanitized at all. Coffee stains everywhere and dirty nail clippers left in them. Especially during a pandemic, the uhaul should have been cleaned or sanitized.Michaela D.

The staff was great and I would rent again but my gas was at 1/4 tank and I was told it was 3/4 tank. If I had not photographed the mileage when I started I would not have realized the mistake. I Assume it is due to Covid 19 that it happened since agents are not walking u to the car to confirm but that would have been a very expensive mistake. I did have to wait a while to get my truck and I would have thought they would have given me extra time for my wait but it wasn't offered and I didn't need it. Maybe they would have if I asked. The mechanic who was not helping me directly was the most professional and polite man. He clearly cares about the image of the location.Brynn M.

The location, Instant Smog was great. But that was not where I ordered the truck. UHAUL changed my reservation to a different town because I had ordered there in the past. I had to drive 10 miles out of the way. Customer service was unhelpful and took me an hour and half to figure out that all they could do is give me a 0,1 cent discount on mileage. The systems were down, no one could speak or answer why my reservation changed. It's like this company just started renting trucks, not renting from here again.Jaime C.
Truck was very clean. However, driver's door would not close securely and extra force had to be used to close the door. The window crank on the driver side fell off each time the window was opened or closed. Also - UHaul policy to bring the vehicle back with gas at the same level as when received is inaccurate and unfair. Vehicle should be delivered with a FULL tank of gas and returned with a FULL tank. I know I gave you more gas than I used because I had no way of knowing the CORRECT AMOUNT of fuel consumed.Bruce R.

We scheduled a time to pick up our truck at 7am. When we got to the location at 7am the truck that was assigned was completely blocked in on all sides by other trucks. We called the help number but after 25 minutes or so we just decided to wait until 8 when the place opened. This location doesn't park their trucks in actual parking spaces. They just squeeze them in and I'm sure they have this problem oftenDamian D.

The online process to rent a truck was complicated. I had to enter my information several times even though I had already rented before and had an account. I was also charged for the Safe Move coverage which I had opted out of since I was only using the truck for an hour in a 10 mile radius. Please contact me about refunding that amount since I did not request that service. The check out process was also super complicated and took over 30 minutes. The person helping me out said there was an issue with their computer system. I would like to be contacted for follow-up please.Claudia A.

The vehicle came with so little gas that gas light turned on after 3 blocks. And then they want it returned with the same amount or more. I only needed to go 40 miles so I had to fill up right away and make sure I put in enough for my whole trip. Seems like bad business to lend out vehicles with that little gas.Kyle C.

The person checking us into our reservation did not know how to use the computer system. He literally told us we were at the wrong location and should be at the Grand Avenue location so he doesn't even know what street his place of work is on. Checking in took way too long and cut into our rental time. We had to help him locate our reservation in the system. Minimal instructions and guidance were given, he just gave us the keys and pointed to which truck was ours. We asked where to leave our car and he didn't know. Dropping off the keys and checking out wasn't quick or easy either. Just make sure your staff knows how to use your program. If we didn't walk him through the process he made it seem like it was out of his hands and he couldn't help us out. Very frustrating and confusing experience.Brittany C.

After initially booking a van online , I waited over an hour before I actually was able to drive off the lot. After I was told there wouldn't be any payment due at the location, I was then charged 48,00 $ for mileage or whatever , it was never really explained what it was for. Not actually having enough funds to cover at that moment caused the system to obviously reject my payment. The guy helping me (ha) didnt tell me he was charging that amount and he couldn't figure out why my card was being rejected. I thought he was running the card to see if I had a positive balance . Which I did just not 48,00 $. I was left standing at the counter 2 different times for 20 minutes while the attendant went to get someone to help. The second time I walked into the garage and theres my attendant and I guess the person to help, both working on a car ,talking away. Meanwhile I'm trying to figure out what the hell was going on. At this point I'm pissed and asked if anyone was going to finish my rental . No one came back to the counter to say sorry for the delay, nothing . And all it was ,was not enough money on my card. After all that I had to leave and make a deposit because of course they dont take cash. Another 20 min. Also had to wait while the person that had the van before me brought the van back and then leave again to gas it up. She was gone at least 20 -25 min. My rental was for 4 pm. I got there early thinking I could get it early . I left the property with the van at 5 20 pm extremely pissed .Steven B.

When renting the vehicle, I had chosen to have a dolly with the vehicle. After we left we realized no dolly had been provided. Only after we returned the vehicle and mentioned this did they tell us the dolly had to be gotten separately from the vehicle and couldn't help us since we had already returned the vehicle. Telling us the dolly came separately would have been greatly appreciated since we still got charged for something we didn't use.Gregory H.

Make sure the truck has a ramp! This is the first U-haul I've ever used that had a missing ramp. It makes it extremely difficult to move furniture without being able to walk it up.Daniel K.
