Have the right size truck when you rent it online. We did get a bigger truck with the same price as the smaller one which helped
TERRY H.Make sure to clean out the backs of the trucks between customers. There was a shopping bag full of personal items and trash left in the truck we rented.

PEGGY R.There are several U-Haul locations that are 4-5 miles closer to me, than this I Storage Facility in Desert Hot Springs Ca. As long as Marie and Jennifer are at this location, there is almost nothing you can do to improve the quality of service! I have rented from this location at least a half dozen times this year alone. Always prompt, and extremely friendly.

HARIS A.They were very helpful when I was checking into to process prior to renting the vehicle . They were cheerful and accommodating. When picking up the vehicle in Simi I noticed the paperwork showed 50 less miles than was on the odometer. I took a picture and followed the check in directions . After returning the vehicle I received an email informing me I was charged an extra $ 16 for going over on mileage . I went on line today and was informed I was correct and should get a refund. I am waiting for my refund .

RICHARD R.Call Uhaul several weeks before my move. I reserved two trucks. The day before my move I called Uhaul to see if I could pick up the trucks. Uhaul never bothered to call me. They told me they only had one truck I needed two. I asked them when they were going to tell me that when I showed up and they weren't there. They also said that I can pick them up in Hemet I had to go to desert Hot Springs to get the one truck.
MATTHEW D.The Good: The truck was clean, good on gas, had great A/C and did not lack horsepower. The Bad: There was NO loading ramp which made it very difficult to load and unload. The Ugly: The attitude of the employee on the return was extremely poor and turned what would have been a good experience...into one that I would not wish to deal with again. If I had to deal with that employee again...I'd chose a different location.

UHaul customer service changed my pick up and drop off times and location due to this location not servicing after hours due to thefts. The manager made it about me and acted like I was putting her out by changing the plan all on my own. If I had not needed the uhaul for our move yesterday I would have cancelled my rental.

jack W.Next time I move I will probably not use U-haul. This was a temporary relocation in between homes and the cost next time will be out of my pocket. The truck was dirty when I got it. The truck had a check engine light that I told the rep about and she told me that it was only a sensor on the gas cap. The truck smelled strongly of gasoline during the entire move and when I returned it they seemed to brush it off as no big deal. I also do not like the fact the trucks are not full when you receive them but they have in the contract that they will charge you a significant amount of extra money if you return it with any less than it was given to you. I also had issues with getting the reservation extended through the return location. They were very rude but the uhaul rep that I was forwarded to helped. All of these issues may have to do with the sites I dealt with but once again...first impressions. Next time I will use Ryder. They have never given me the issues I experienced here.

KANDI M.The lady at this location got stuck with a mess caused by one staff member in Cathedral City u-hall. She tried to help straighten the mess out but her hands were somewhat tied. The who thing was not her fault, but after 3 hours trying to get a car hauler that we reserved at Cathedral City, she caught the blunt of our frustration.

anna B.First of all the costumer service there is very poor. Lady that assisted me was alright but her coworker was just koud and rude. I had several questions as I am allowed to ask as much as I want right? well she answered my questions when I wasent even talking to her or her giving me service, she just butted in and made me look like if I had no money asking me "Do you have money in your card" was an insult. I will never return. its also a false advertisement. I thougthi was only paying 20 dollars and I ended up paying 98 dollars
