This was an absolute living nightmare. We were scheduled to pick up our truck at 8 am. We drive an hour from Raleigh and arrive at 8 am because there are no other trucks available within 100 miles of us. The location is closed and nobody is there. We called the contact number 26 times. The person that finally answered was rude and unhelpful, and eventually stopped responding to us after promising to get in touch with uhaul from their end and fix things. So we call the uhaul customer service line. We spend 5 hours in the hot sun outside of this location in the middle of god knows where rocky mount being put on hold, transferred, on hold again, and finally they hang up on us. All we needed was the 4 letter code to open the lock box and get the keys, but nobody would listen to us and kept redirecting us and being rude. We finally got in touch with someone named Christina who actually listened and solved our problem in under 5 minutes. After 5 hours outside J&D rental and near heat stroke, we finally got the truck. We had purchased furniture pads, which were of course nowhere to be found, but at that point we were going to be several hours late for our move out time and be charged a fee so we didn't even care and just went home. This was concretely the worst and most frustrating experience I have ever had in my life. Worse than my parents divorce. Worse than graduating in a pandemic. Worse than going blind. And then we never got the 50 $â€œreservation guaranteeâ€ payment that we were supposed to get if U-Haul didn't meet us on time. We ended up being late to leave our old place, late to arrive at our new place, and having to pay hundreds in fees because of it. I wouldn't wish this upon my worst enemy.Federico A.

This was the worse experience I have ever had with Uhaul. You all cost me so much time and money on delays. All my help had to cancel due to the time delays. I ended up getting to my destination late which also cost me. My driver missed his return flight which cost me money. Your agent and regional manager were unwilling to assist.Shannan S.

Was a strange setup. A home healthcare/uhaul rental pickup. The longest process I've ever had renting a uhaul.Scott S.
Business was closed. Took over an hour for the business to answer. Covid procedures to pick up truck were not discussed by either Uhaul reps (1-800 #), or the pick up location. Other customers were waiting also. Took almost 4 hours to pick up truck.Sarretta P.
Fire the rep and hire someone that at least have a decent attitude. The absolute worst in customer service. Totally rude and disrespectful. I will never again use 2803 Sunset location. She treated me as if she was doing my husband and i a favor . She was so busy on the phone giving assignment to home health workers she was too busy to assist the u haul customers . The absolute worst u haul representative ever. And isn't it the rep's job duty to go to the truck and check the mileage. She was upset and very rude that i did.not know the return milage on the truck. She told my husband he had to go.to the truck and get the milage. And yes it was raining but so what Checking the milage is part of her job duty. Never before have i been rudely told that i was the driver and should know how mamy miles i drove. She was a very non personable. She was as if she was having a very very bad day and should have taken the day off. She should have called in sick because for sure her personality and disposition was unlike any u haul staff or employee that i have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. No i will never go to that location again. Never. And U haul shame on you for having such a rude person part of your organization.Gloria J.

The rental place where I picked up my truck from was also a place that has another company. So it was like 2 companies in one little building. The woman that I spoke with was rude, unprofessional, arrogant, and not friendly at all. She did not know how to conduct herself as a professional by no means at all. She mixed business with personal. She cursed not at me but in the place of business. I will never rent from there again. She didn't know how to take a cash payment. I guess it was a supervisor of some sort there he did the process for me and he act like he didn't want to do it. People that work with the public needs to know to handle business professionally. This place lied and took my money.I returned my uhaul on the 26th before 8am. They drafted money from my account and stated that I returned the uhaul today because I put the keys in the drop box before I was able to complete the mobile check in. Lucky for me I contact uhaul as I was still in the parking lot on the 26th so I'm able to get my money back.Overall this is the worst customer experience I've ever had with uhaul.Jasmine D.
