We dropped this truck at the Jada Food Market outside of Powell TN as the closest location (least additional miles) to our unload house. The person at the market did not know anything about how to check in a truck and stated that he had owned the store for only 3 days. He did not seem to want us to leave the truck with him and we were encouraged to take it somewhere else. As I had already had it driving a 26 ft truck - we parked the truck next to other trucks that were on the lot, locked the truck and gave him the key and left the location suggesting he call someone and figure this out. He was courteous and polite enough, and agreed but he does need some training on how to handle a U-Haul.

We had to change trucks due to the first one being too small. Everyone couldn’t have been more helpful or nicer.

I ordered the rental on line and the employee that was on duty at the time had no clue I was coming to pick up the trailer. She was unable to contact anyone regarding my arrangements. I had to move equipment around to get to a trailer I could use and I was there for 45 minutes trying to arrange for a trailer that I had already arranged on line. I was late for my appointment with whom I was meeting with the merchandise I needed the trailer for. I was very disappointed. When I brought the trailer back I was given no formal receipt and there was damage on the trailer before I ever took it. The location was very tight and traffic was an issue when backing the trailer in. I would not use this location again.

I was double-charged for keeping the truck two extra days. In Windsor I pre-paid to keep the truck until Monday the 18th, but upon arrival in Knoxville I was told I had not "pre-paid" and owed an additional $136, which I was forced to pay. Even though my receipt clearly stated a return date of June the 18th, the recipient of the truck said there was "nothing he could do" and that I must belaboringly bring the discrepancy to the attention of the U-Haul company. The gentlemen was not very friendly. If I would have known it was part of a convenience store where every time someone walks in I am pushed to the back. I would have went somewhere else. He made a comment on the gas as well when I returned which was on full but he said “barely”. I do not need to be treated like this I was very kind to him. I feel like I was willing to pay whatever and he’s use to people not following the rules. Which not all people deserve to feel this way. Very unhappy customer!

I was told I was going to pick up uhual in oak ridge when I woke up this morning my appt was delayed an hour and I had to drive about 15 miles to knoxville and then 15 miles back to knoxville to return the uhual while being charged mileage and gas this is ridiculous

U-Haul Corporate was to blame for this experience. You used a bait-and-switch methodology on my reservation, which was to be at another location entirely, notifying me at the last minute that I was to retrieve my RESERVED 10' moving truck from another location, Jayda's, than where I had picked up and returned a local rental cargo van, in Farragut, TN. Additionally, I had to supply the manpower and time-spent to complete this pick-up and return, and negotiations were made with U-Haul dispatch, monetary recompense agreed to, and none of which were shared with the respective agents, Jayda's or the Kingston Pike Farragut, TN location, resulting in me being overcharged by over $300.00 in the combination. I will NEVER recommend U-Haul to anyone ever again. Not because the agent at Jayda's was unaware and inexperienced with one-way rental transactions, he was caught in the middle along with me, but because the agent in Farragut, and then the dispatcher named Heather both lied to my face, or failed to relay negotiated terms to either franchise location management or agents. Expect YELP reviews that are not favorable.

My reservation was for a 15 ft truck across town. Jayda's market was 3 miles from my start point in moving and 7 miles from the end. Doug gave me a 20 ft truck for the same price with pickup at Jayda's market. Saved me time and money!! Kudos to Doug and Jayda's market!!!!

The truck interior was sticky. When I got home I actually cleaned the steering wheel and seats because they felt gross and the inside had a weird smell. Soda or something was splashed in the cup holders so I had to clean that too. After a little TLC it felt fine and smelled good. The exterior and cargo area look fine. No trouble with the truck's drivability, ramp, or lights. Mechanically sound just lacking cleanup.
