The pickup process was okay, but the biggest issue I encountered was that the person who helped me connect to the trailer had no experience hooking up to tow a trailer. Consequently, I left improperly connected based on his incorrect instruction. After unknowingly risking an accident on my drive home, I watched a U-Haul video on how to operate the trailer and discovered there were additional steps that had been missed. Thankfully, my first drive was safe and luckily avoided damage to my vehicle and the trailer. Separately, it seems crazy that these trailers don't come with jacks to help lift/lower them into position. I needed a second person's assistance as I'm not physically able to lift so much weight myself.

I called the office before I arrived to pick up the truck. That was about 15 minutes before I got there. I was still waiting for someone to pick up the call as I walked in the door.
TONY RWas located in a scrap yard it seemed heavy rains didn't help as lot was covered in mud. But personnel was also very friendly and knowledgeable said I was 36 miles over the allowed mileage but I didn't quite understand as I was forced to reroute to a detour which was approximately 60 miles further due to hwy 40 being closed going into Asheville.

SCOTT PI originally rented a uhaul from the sweeten creek location. It was a nightmare. I will be reporting the sweeten creek location to the BBB as they said they often do not have the equipment customers have reserved weeks/months in advance. They also were belittling to me and expected me to know I didn't have a truck reserved even though I had recieved a confirmation email saying my truck was guaranteed the night before pickup. The gentleman at Jim Campen Traler sales was incredibly nice and understanding.

John HI hired packers through uhaul and had my ubox shipped to my new residence. By the time I receive it, all the furniture was damaged. Since I bought 2 different types of insurance for the trip I didn't think it would be difficult to settle a claim (especially because I was only looking for enough reimbursement to cover the supplies for me to make the repairs myself) but instead they passed the buck and told me I needed to have had a third type of insurance.
Emileigh APoor communication and no furniture blankets were provided at all. It said we should have had 10-12 blankets when I booked. We scrambled around to find blankets in our home - resulting in an antique desk with a huge gouge taken out of the front during shipping.
Heather HWhile the vehicle drove just fine, it wasn't clean inside. The inside of the windshield was absolutely filthy. Upon returning the vehicle, it was immediately rented back out to another person without the u-Haul dealer cleaning the inside of the windshield. We also added 2 pkg of blankets, 6 ea. One pkg only had 5. The U-Haul dealer wasn't nice, rather grumpy attitude. This U-Haul location is shared with an owner that sales all types of trailers. You have to deal with FOUR of the owners dogs, which are all nice and friendly but makes it difficult to do business.
KATHRYN LWhen I arrived, the pick up process was very difficult. The man sounded annoyed that I was there. I went to ask about the uhaul, and he had to move several trucks, and other uhauls before I was able to pick up the uhauls. I originally requested a different location but they had rented out the one I reserved, in error, so it wasn't there. Overall it was not a good experience. I ended up paying more because of the extra mileage difference, and bad experience at this location. I did not get to leave with the uhaul from the pickup location until 1pm

BRUCE BFirst off, the 24/7 rental was an absolute waste of time. We arrived at the site at 7:25am for a 7:30 rental. We did not get into the uhaul van until 8:30am due to an extremely long headache process online. I would never recommend anyone to use that process, should've just waited until regular business hours. The vehicle was at 3/4 tank filled when I did get into the van. The windshield washer fluid was low and there was a tire pressure sensor on the entire time I drove. Again, since there was nobody at the location I had no one to question or notify about that.

JEFFREY LEveryone I spoke with was extremely friendly and helpful. Great communication about drop off and pick up. Daisy from U-Haul scheduling was a stand out and also Jackie who dropped off and picked the u-box from our new home. It was a good experience all around and would strongly recommend.

Theodore AThe.box truck I rented was very old with 177 000 miles. I would only recommend it for short trips as it seems to have transmission issues. This truck should be retired actually. But the rental people were nice even though they were very busy. I will rent from this facility again.

William HMan came over to truck to check that tank filled to the quarter mark and drove away without talking to us. I waited for him to return, which he didn't, we then drove over to him and asked if we were finished with him. He gave us a thumbs up signal and we drove off. I received an additional bill for $40 for an additional day. The gentleman in Miami said the rental included Friday. We returned the truck about 330PM on Friday, but were still billed for another day. I picked up the truck Monday afternoon in Miami and drove allday on Wednesday to Asheville. Unloaded Thursday, and the truck sat until Friday. If I had known you were going to charge me for Friday I would have returned it on Thursday. Merci.

MARY SThe central reservation center needs to pay closer attention to what the customers are asking for, and pair that up with the available centers in the area. I specified that I needed to pick up at 8am, but the place that I was sent to is a place that doesn't open until 9am. The people who worked there were great, and they did help us out, but it put us behind on everything for the rest of the day.
