This nearest U-Haul location is 1 hour driving from my town. In the past years 2 nearer U-Haul locations were closed. That situation should be improved.

DOUG LIZNICKThere was challenges picking up the truck, as the cell service there is weak, which makes uploading pictures for the self pick up very slow. Took over 45 mins to pick up truck, and would have been longer if not for the great help from the call center agent we reached.

Jason RawaThe truck had very poor snow tires that had very little traction. We live in snow country this truck slid down a road for 300 metres or 900 ft luckily I was able to control the slide between many parked cars.

BRYAN COOKOur experience once we were able to actually drop Off the truck at this location was ok. The days prior to us being able to drop off at this location was NOT ok. We had to spend multiple hours over a two day period speaking with multiple agents telling us that we were being forced to drop Off in Cranbrook which is 2 hours away through a mountain pass when our original rental was to be dropped off in Trail. We suddenly get a text telling us we now have to drive it back two hours through the mountains and when we explained we could not physically do this as my girlfriend is terminally ill and broke her ankle during our trip out west and as such I had no one to drive to pick me up in Cranbrook and quite frankly my time at work is worth something. We were told by a manager that it seemed as though they could accept the vehicle in trail but that Cranbrook needed this vehicle at their location. He over rode the new drop off location as he said this was totally not ok to have us drive back two hours and have to figure it out on our own. I got hung up on by an agent in Calgary and I was being respectful and friendly but she said I was going in circles and my only option was to drop off in Cranbrook. I will be escalating this issue and finding out if legally this was allowed to happen. If U-Haul has it written nowhere on the four corners of the contract we signed at the pick up location where I paid almost 4K upfront, then how is your company is allowed to force people's hands and threaten them with fines and other financial obligations. We were threatened multiple times. It was by far the worst experience we have ever had with any company and left us feeling insecure and not heard. Terrible service, terrible practices and hopefully we get to expose this what seems to be illegal practices.

Darcy RistBetter online experience - total mess made by online reps as they ended up cancelling my reservation stating the equipment not available. Decided to call the local uhaul for alternative date to find out equipment was available and reservation was not cancelled - not impressed.
Larry MierauThe parking is slanted towards a ravine with nothing to hold a trailer from rolling off the parking when disconnected from the vehicle. Please place a curb of some sort to prevent that type of mishaps.

Matt CasselmanWe had a great experience here. Easy, relatively efficient, felt like we were actually listened to and valued. The only thing I would make note of is that I didn't have enough a strong enough cell signal to do the self-return on my phone. This wasn't much of an issue for us since it was super quick to go up to the front and return it in-person, but it could be a problem if someone was trying to return their vehicle outside of business hours.
Kara DeaneThe Uhaul website was having issues when I was returning the trailer. I went through the process of taking all of the required photos and it wouldn't upload them for some reason. I tried multiple times and eventually gave up.

ANDREW CHARLESONI zeroed the trip odometer before driving away. And to a photo. Then took another photo when I returned the unit. Good thing I did as you tried to over charge me my mileage by 62 miles. That's over 100 dollars you tried to overcharge me. This is unacceptable. I'm just thankful that I covered my own ass with photo evidence.

Junior SpoonerWhen booking months in advance, it would be great to have a confirmation that the equipment is guaranteed to be there instead of 2 days before. I understand why you operate this way, but caused some worry leading up to move day if I was going to have the equipment that I booked.
