Joey's was fine for my needs. It is a small U Haul location, and was 22 miles from me, but U Haul found the 5x8 I needed there, and it was worth the trip. Equipment was clean and paperwork and hook up were done professionally

I had reserved a truck in Plattekill for this move. It was sent to Newburgh which was much farther away. When I spoke to a supervisor at the Newburgh location, I specifically asked if there were any trucks available in Highland, she said no. My husband called the Highland location and the representative there stared that he did have a truck and accomodated us quickly and professionally. From now on I will be onky contacting the location directly as Uhaul management is a mess.

the location I was sent to was fine it was the fact that the main office/ scheduling department sent me to this area which was over an hour further than where my items were. I made my reservation in advance and was still sent so far away. they asked you where you want to pick up from. why? when they only going to send you where they want. how to fix this problem they need to tell the customers what is available . and then let the customer decide if they want to go to west bubble f. !!!

My issues was not with a particular location but with the fact that I was told (customer service representative) to go to one pick up location and then the van was at another location. Had to drive 11 miles which made me loose an hour in total. Not the end of the world but for a first time U haul user I had a not so pleasent fist time experience.

First, I was supposed to pick up at a different location and was not told until almost 2 hours after my pick up time that location had changed. Next, while I didn’t notice right away, the truck was not full and I ended up spending more money on fuel than I should have. Finally, the new pick up location was farther away so I had to spend more on mileage. I will not be renting from uhaul again.

I returned the trailer a day early and would have liked to get a refund since it could be rented again. Since the days were set Uhaul should allow for early returns with a refund for part of the charges. Not doing this did displease me!

We originally went to the U-Haul place on 9W stood in the office for 15 minutes with no one around finally they showed up one woman two men The woman was absolutely useless I had to spell my name to her at least five times and gave her the confirmation number she said oh OK I found you and Started to proceed with the order until my girlfriend walks around me and look at the screen and says my boyfriend isnt Robert so-and-so this girl was an idiot ,she brought someone over to bail her out and he was basically as useless and then they told us we had to go down the road to Joe's to pick up the U-Haul everything after that was fine

We requested pick-up in Highland but when we got there, we learned that the vehicle we had requested was not available - the inconvenience was that we had not been notified in advance. The rep in Highland was very helpful, however; he told us that Joey's of Milton had the vehicle we needed, and all arrangements had been made for us there. They had, we got our vehicle promptly, and went on our way. We originally arranged a 24-hour rental but requested an extra day, which was granted readily and payment processed efficiently.

I was quoted a price of approximately $100 for this rental. I told the rental agent I was taking two round trips between New Paltz and Beacon, New York. I ended up taking three round trips. I was charged over $300 for this rental. I can certainly understand how the rental would've been $50-$75 more than the $100 quote. However, tripling the quoted price is not acceptable. The rental agent was either incompetent or dishonest in setting the quote. At most I should've been charged 150 or $175. I should not, under any circumstances, have been charged three times the quoted rental, which is what happened. Again, this is unacceptable and unprofessional. I expect to be refunded at least $150. If not, I will dispute the entire charge as in my judgment it is the result of either gross incompetence or fraud on the part of the U-Haul agent. I expect a reply to this comment at your first opportunity. I think you and advance for your anticipated prompt response and action. Very truly yours, Jeffrey Sculley

I lived 1/2 mile from an U Haul dealer in Wapingersw Falls. I went there one week ahead to reserve a 15 footer for Sunday 12/13/15 to move some furniture for my college son to NYC. After many many calls it was insisted I have to go all the way to Milton some 15 miles away on the other side of the Hudson to pick the van up early on Saturday before 3.30 PM. The toll alone costs $5 plus 15 miles plus the time wasted instead of getting the van on Sunday. I doubt I shall rent U Haul again. Not worth the trouble but the return in the city was speedy and convenient. A BAD EPERIENCE FOR ME.

I was short 5 blankets-they were still packed. Found them and was told they had to be returned to a location across town. They were too lazy to do the paperwork. Returned blankets to another location-they went out of their way to be helpful.
