Location closed for labor day weekend, your online system for checking out the truck is a clusterfuck. Was waiting over an hour. Didn't try to use your clusterfuck online system for the return. Called it in 2;41pm. 59 minute wait for the next available representative. Was charged a 20 $after hours return fee. Wrote you a nasty review on google that is well deserved. I will never recommend uhaul to anyone. As for how you can improve the experience of the next customer... don't run a clusterfuck operation or fold your company so they can give their business to someone else.John S.

U-Haulâ€˜s app would only allow me to select a 7 AM time slot on Tuesday, August 30. I could not get to the location by then. I called numerous times to change it, and never got an answer. I did pick the truck up at 11 AM, but the shop wanted the car back by 12. That was impossible. Got it back by 12:30Thomas M.

So I booked a 15ft truck at the Budd Lake spot. Some dicey looking auto shop. I booked to pick it up at 12noon but arrived at around 11:40am just to be on top of things. I got there and it was CLOSED!!! I called the uhual number and it took about 30 mins for them to pick up. I also tried to convert it to â€œmobile pickupâ€ and answered a stupid number of questions including pictures and calling my â€œalternate numbersâ€ and then it said I have to speak with a representative, so a massive waste of time. Eventually I spoke to the uhaul person and they got me a pick up truck instead and I just about managed to haul my load in that tiny pick up. Over all it was a nightmare but uhaul have the market cornered so no real choice. Next time I will have to leave with 2 hours to spare just to make sure. Jokers!STUART T.

Via the website I rented a truck plus dollies and moving pads. None of the pads or dollies that I ordered were supplied and it meant I had to source these necessities elsewhere. Also, I collected the truck at 2pm on a Thursday afternoon and was told there was no one there who could assist me.Justin H.

No one answered the phone. hours are 8 to 12 but you don't know that. We got charged 42 $after we returned the truck and no one can tell us what it was for. UHaul customer service does not exist. I can't get through on any phone number and the live chat just tells you to wait. Been over two weeks now. Emergency road assistance does not respond. I had to call the police for help.Robert R.
Please, when a responsible customer who is about to move his family 1300 miles to a new state reserves a truck a month ahead, have it for him. Don't tell him nothing in the size truck he NEEDS is available for 200 miles!!! Really?!!! Fortunately I live right near my pick up location and could see two 26' trucks sitting there. One is the old local truck and the other was brand new . After telling the woman on the phone this she put me on hold what seemed like forever and made arrangements for me to get that truck. THANK YOU!! Her name is ZAHIYA and I appreciated her effort to make it happen. My pick up location was JOHN'S AUTOMOTIVE in Newton NJ. He was the BEST!!!! He was aware of the situation and after talking to him he made sure the truck would be there for me. John really put my mind at ease so I could keep my moving plan on schedule. I would like to thank him and the customer service rep. For the future please don't put customers through this. Everything for a move depends on having the equipment to do so. Don't need extra stress on top of a house all packed up and family ready to go.Eric R.

The best thing about this location was where it was located and that it had an after hour key box. Beyond that I was not impressed. I put in my order almost a week in advance and did NOT get the truck I wanted. I didn't even get the furniture dolly I asked for. He "didn't have any" but he had some (non branded ones) FOR SALE for 30 $. At least he switched it over to a utility dolly which was better than nothing but barely up for the job I had ahead of me. The turn in instructions were unclear and confusing! He said to throw the keys in the box. I figured out AFTER the fact that there was a whole online process to go through. Then I spent THIRTY minutes on hold for customer service and was nearly late for work. At least the lady on the line was calm, professional and polite. She took care of the turn in problem for me. She was awesome and deserves praise for her professionalism, because I was NOT happy when I was on the phone.Ellen M.

Improve the online check-in. Had a lot of errors and ended up having to go into the store to check in.Chris R.
My only complaint was the timing of the emails, my back up person initially missed the call as we weren't properly/timely notified that the call was going to happen. Luckily I was in an online chat and asked them to call back, otherwise it seemed the only option was to contact u-haul via phone and that would have taken time. Truck was pretty dirty inside but otherwise it was fine. Damaged passenger side mirror was challenging since it was shattered and tricky to see and back up. You probably shouldn't rent trucks with damaged mirrors. Otherwise good experience.Matthew R.
Not sure if this John Automotive is to blame or Uhaul, but the this truck was not maintained Well. It's in tough shape at 170 000 miles. The pull out ramp was in major disrepair. In addition, I picked up the truck with 1/4 tank and almost ran out of gas before realizing I was on empty. Shouldn't all trucks leave full? When the contract got emailed to me several hours later, I saw the 1/4 full measurement. The rental group should verbally advise this info.Eric K.

I had a 24' truck rented for three weeks and the day before our move they changed it to a 10' on Jan 1 which is a holiday and the facility was closed. Then there were no blankets or hand truck which I also rented and the representative at Uhaul was so rude about the whole thing.Tara L.
Provides the equipment in the actual location it was originally reserved at. I had to drive an additional 1 1/2 hours just to return the equipment because of reservation errors by uhaul.Christopher W.
Box truck was ridiculously loud due to muffler being broken off by previous renter. Only one headlight worked, inside of the box truck roof was leaking and soaked our mattress.David D.

The equipment i ordered was not available even though your website said it was. I had to go buy a furniture dolly. The owner said that's a common occurrence. Accurately post store hours. I was scheduled for a 4 PM pick up on 11 June. When I arrived a closed sign was out and the location had closed at noon. Fortunately, the owner was still there waiting on an auto parts delivery.... and he did help me. But, he had told me that if it hadn't been for the parts delivery being late, he would not have been there. Then what... after I had driven 30+ miles to get the trailer?kevin J.
