Really friendly and helpful staff. We messed up the online return process (pro tip: don't return the key to the drop box until you've completed the online return!), but the staff checked everything in for us the next morning with zero hassle. Very thankful for this experience!

The people at this site are very kind/nice, but the location is very, very dark/in an unlit area and the truck I received - while swept on the inside - smelled and had been put through the ringer. There were numerous dents, holes, and cracks in the exterior and one of the headlights was busted. I think they should retire the truck I had to use.

Took them 30 minutes after my rental start time before I was seen allowing me to check out. They gave me a vehicle that was on Empty. Though they gave me a $24.50 credit, it still ate into my rental time to go and get gas.

The local shop of Jonas Snow Removal was beyond helpful. They wanted to help me as much as possible. But the overall U-Haul experience could not have been worse in helping me as a customer. For all customers, please be aware that a U-Haul reservation does not actually guarantee that you will get a vehicle. I learned this the hard way. All a reservation does is place a hold on a vehicle and *if* the vehicle is available the day before, then they'll confirm your vehicle a day in advance. Jonas Snow called me to confirm my truck was there the day before, but then the regional U-Haul office changed my pickup location and time by several hours, which would not have worked since I had movers coming. It took two hours on the phone with the regional office to get everything cleared up (including one option where I would have had to pick up a vehicle in Frederick, MD). U Haul customer service never seemed interest in actually helping me as a customer and it was only my persistence and frustration with them that seemed to get anything done. I feel bad for the folks working customer service because it took 2 hours of being loudly frustrated on the phone to get anything done. That can't be a good work environment. Long story short, if you have a time sensitive move, don't use U-Haul. It was a nightmare experience.

Mobile check-in/out was a huge pain. I was unable to complete the check-out without going inside to do it in person. Check-in after hours was a terrible experience and I spent more than 30min waiting on hold for the customer service team to tell me they couldn't help me and I may be subject to an additional $20 convenience fee because the mobile check-in wasn't working.

I was charged for not returning a dolly. I did not get a dolly. I was refunded $10 on my original contract for not getting a dolly. I would like a refund if the $75 I was charged for a dolly I did not get.

It took me 2 hrs. In order for the truck share to work. It was terrible and also they kept changing my pick up locatio. Extremely irritating and unorganized. I wouldonly use again if I had no other choice.

For the DC area, this place is preferred for pickup and drop offs because it is on a back road away from things. Helpful staff but a challenging property site when busy (no convenient turnarounds for long trailer setups). But they make do. I give them most of my business.

Extremely friendly and had a lot of helpful tips. You can tell they cared about you getting you to your destination safely. I was moving across the country in the 26' foot truck while towing the car dolly. They helped me set everything up, told me to take pictures, and offered tips and tricks.

100 meters before I arrived to the location the truck started breaking on it's own, and could've caused an accident. Probably nothing will be done about it. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone.

The previous location I was sent to by UHaul was in Capitol Heights Maryland, which was apparently a front. I went to pick up the truck I had rented at the agreed upon time and the location was not even open. Because of this I am extremely wary of ever using UHaul again, and should ever the need arise, will explore alternative truck rental companies.

We arrived an hour after our scheduled pick up time and had to wait until they finished servicing another customer to get to us (no problem). It seems as if the truck would have been pulled out front, ready for us to inspect and leave after paying. Overall, the lady and gentleman were very nice but slow. Also, I told the gentleman that checked me out that I did not need 2 days with the truck. I would be driving to my destination and dropping off the truck the same day. It seems as if a price adjustment would have been provided as I let the carrier know up front that I would be returning the truck the same day within 8 hours. I was very disappointed that I had to pay for 2 days, did not use the time and they did not accommodate a price adjustment once I returned the vehicle within the time I communicated up front.

The was truck dirty! Full of dog hair. We had to clean it twice. This is totally unacceptable. The dealer location was also a mess...it's basically a junk yard. The dealer asked me if I was sanitizing the truck. Especially with COVID, one would think that u-haul would at least clean the interior of their trucks.

I made a reservation with U-Haul on Tuesday 10/6/2020 to ensure I had a truck ready for my move day of 10/10/2020. I secured a 20'ft truck that was to be picked up at JT Enterprises (5409 Vine St No A Alexandria, VA 22310) by 8:00AM. I hired two movers to assist us with the loading/unloading and they were scheduled to be at my place by 9:00AM. On 10/10/2020, at 7:30AM, I went to JT enterprises only to find out that I was unable to access the reserved truck because the location was closed and the mobile app stated that I could only access the truck when the location opens at 10:00AM. I immediately called the 1800 U-Haul line for customer support. I reached a representative after 15 minutes. Once the representative came on the line, there was not much she could do so she transferred the call to a scheduler. The transfer took another 15 min and which at that point we decided to go to another U-Haul location nearby to see if they would be able to help us out. The next nearest U-Haul location was Jonas Snow Removal & Lawn Care Removal Services (5420 Oakwood Rd. Alexandria, VA 22310). The customer service representative at the next location informed us that there was no trucks available and advised us to try another U-Haul location. We were told to check out the U-Haul Moving & Storage of Newington (8207 Terminal Rd, Lorton, VA 22079) because we were told there was a truck available. We went to that location and was told that there was no truck available and to call customer service again. We called customer service again and when we finally reached the representative again, this time they were able to find a truck at U-Haul Moving and Storage of Springfield (5285 PORT ROYAL RD, SPRINGFIELD,VA 22151). We were told they had a 20ft truck and it was guaranteed. By this time, it was 9:30AM and my movers called to tell us that if they could not start by 10AM they would need to cancel the job because of another commitment at 1PM. We scrambled to the next location only to tell us they DID NOT HAVE THE TRUCK EITHER!. Instead they were able to book us with a truck with Jonas Snow Removal & Lawn Care Removal Services (5420 Oakwood Rd. Alexandria, VA 22310). THIS WAS THE SAME LOCATION WE HAD ALREADY WENT BUT WAS TOLD THEY HAD NO AVAILABLE TRUCKS!! Relucantly we went back to Jonas Snow Removal & Lawn Care. The store manager informed us that she did not have 20 ft' truck but instead gave us a 26' ft truck. As a result of the massive mess that U-Haul caused, I spent the entire morning driving to 5 U-HAUL locations, spent over 30 min trying to talk to customer service, lost both movers resulting in us overpaying for another group of help at the last minute, and the oversized truck damaged several boxes because of the 6ft of additional space that I NEVER WANTED IN THE FIRST PLACE, and to just add salt to the wound, I was charged an after hour fee. What was supposed to take a few hours of our saturday took the entire day. I HAVE NEVER EVER RECEIVED SUCH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.

The parking lot was full, but I had no problem finding a spot. I returned it after hours and when I rang the doorbell camera they were very helpful and worked with me to take care of checking the trailer in. I was very pleased and I would definitely recommend this location to somebody.

I had to go to Virginia to pickup. I asked to pick up form Central Ave in Capital Heights MD. They gave me extra miles to compensate for the inconvenience, but was no compensation at all. i DID NOT NEE THE EXTRA MILES. I should have been told that I would not be able to pick up from that location up front. Fair compensation would have been to take something off of the price.

the end result was fine, however my original reservation said I could pick up the equipment at a different location at 7am on Saturday. That location did not open until 10am and they did not have the trailer on their lot as I drove around. The Springfield location was able to help me in locating another trailer which allowed me to stay on schedule

Pickup Location was not what I requested for the second time In as many weeks ... and it wasn't changed until the day before my scheduled pickup. In fact, I was notified by two separate emails of two separate alternate pickup locations: one was 40 miles away in Stafford and this one in Alexandria was about 15 miles away. For the inconvenience, the site operator gave me an additional 20 miles on my rental, which was a nice, considerate thing to do ... and let me return the truck with only about 20 miles to spare.

I have no problem with Jonas Snow Removal. When I reserve a truck sometime I have had my pick up change to a different location to far too go to pick up the truck that is the only problem I have with U Haul.

I would have hoped you had asked for the overall experience ! which was the worse ever... i received a total of 4 various pickup places within 30 min of the pickup time agreed upon. having been on the phone waiting for + 30 min i continued to get cut off several times as such your helpdesk/customer service or whatever you call is get a F-. equipment ordered was what i received gets a F- ( i ended up getting a 26ft truck compared to what i ordered) overall experience F- and clearly the last time you will hear from undersigned. the pickup place was very nice in trying their best and i cannot blame them for the service Uhaul provided. it does not get worse than what we exxperienced

They were very nice and extended our time but they extended our time because they were a half hour late. I understand things happen but very inconvenient as we were thrown off schedule for our move. And it was difficult getting in touch with them when they were running late. Also not a fan of religious/ political items in a reception area.
